It's part of that, but I've seen genuine vidya threads get ampharossed for no reason so it's kinda just whatever threads the guy doesn't like, not just bait threads.

In G/S/C, Ampharos and Typhlosion got respectively Fire Punch and Thunder Punch.
They had the same role.
Now with the physical/special split, they got fucked.
