I'm not addicted to it I only play what I actually want to play. If you are jumping on every flavour of the month trash then you have a problem.

I don't want to play most video games.
Most video games seem boring.
I'd have to do some research to find 1 video game that I want to play that have been released this year. I'd probably find one, maybe several, but I'd have go look them up, nothing I know off the top of my head.
stop sinking hours and hours into MP games and focus on SP games
By only playing the games that I want to play. Unless you're those weirdo type who gets insecure enough about their backlogs, I guess.

Same for about all kinds of media, including books. Which made me quit as a writer, we're drowning in shit and readers are mostly arrogant fucks anyways.

Once you've played a game from a genre you've pretty much played them all. I only focus on games with character designs that appeal to me nowadays.
