Dragon degeneration. It a common ailment for really old dragons that compelled them to rampage if they spend too much time being a dragon. In order to slow down the process one has to take on a Elf like Manekete form and store the majority of their powers into Dragon Stones to be used if there is a need to temporarily turn back into a dragon. Also apparently doing blood pacts with humans helps too. Eventually all dragons must face the inevitable and either choose to die and ascend to a higher plane of existence like the goddess Naga in sprit form or devolve into mindless beasts that need to be euthanize with a Falcion (sword made from a Dragon Fang). Ironically enough Wyverns used to be a Dragon tribe too, but is they are just animals.

I think the main problem with some support is timing
I don't think any character is particularly bad (Except Cyrill), i just do not understand why people seem to despise Leonie so much, when many good characters have one or two horrible support convos (look at Lysithea)

The problem is that the timeskip is optional. You can still get C and B supports after the timeskip, in which case it makes more sense. Since it's not always there, a lot of supports aren't written with it in mind, or only vaguely allude to it ("it's been a while") and it just ends up making a lot of supports really weird.

That scene was basically him telling him to stay down and accept defeat, because Dimitri was a raging lunatic until his last moments.

I only got that scene because the asshole surprised me with his transformation so I pulse'd and sniped him with a mage before he could.

In a Golden Route, Sothis never disappears, and remembers who she is. With Byleth's support, the two use a Grand Divine Pulse and go back 1000 years to defeat Nemesis, but something else happens...I don't know, I'm not the best writer, basically what I'd go for is rewriting history for the good of the world so that the Church never exists. In the new present, Fodlan is unified and completely at peace, perhaps advanced once more, cutscenes of all the characters, Edelgard, Dimitri, Claude, living their lives, maybe a shot of Jeralt approaching his newborn, implying Byleth, or a version of Byleth anyways, still exists.[/spoilers]

It's just interesting to me, after I finished BL I really thought it would be the end all, be all route since everything seemed to work out to well. Playing GD though I see how elements like the church, the Agarthans, and Nemesis really feel unresolved, even if they technically are. At the least I do wish we actually handled the Agarthans instead of just being told Dimitri soloed them while he was nuclear.

I might come back to the BE route soon, as for the church route I have no interest honestly.
