all Xeno games welcome

Let's have a Xeno thread

xenogears and xenoblade 1 are the best games of all
>what are you hoping for?
more robits and mechs
>local doctor gets a sword, proceeds to beat the shit out of everything
Citan is so based.
>what's your favourite Xeno game?
geras for story, blade 2 for gameplay
>what Xeno game will we get next?
probably xenoblade 3
>what are you hoping for?
anything really, no preference
>what's your favourite Xeno game?
XB2
>what Xeno game will we get next?
Hoping for X2, expecting XB3.
>what are you hoping for?
That the people who were diverted work on BOTW aren't permanently on Monolith Soft's Zelda team now, and will return to the next Xenoblade instead of being replaced by new hires.
I think production team 2 is helping out with zelda now, not the xeno team
I want a Xenogears Switch port with remastered CD 2
Xenoblade Chronicles X is my favorite. The main story sucked ass, but the exploration, the gameplay, and the sidequests were absolutely god tier.
Didn't they talk about a more traditional fantasy game being in development? I'd imagine if anything their second team is working on that
>what's your favourite Xeno game?
I wanna say say Xenoblade Chronicles 2, but I have a bias because of Nia.
>what Xeno game will we get next?
XCX2, Monolith’s New IP, or Xenosaga Re-Mastered. Gears never because Square has no interest in games not called FFVII.
>what are you hoping for?
Robots, titties, land to explore, rhythmic combat
The one thing I really want to see out of the next Xeno game is more involved enemy actions in combat. The battle systems are always really fun from the offensive angle with ability combos and directional attacks, but enemies might as well be giant punching bags you're trying to hit a dps threshold on. Give them some AOE attacks you need to dodge or unique mechanics the player has to pay attention to in addition to keeping their own stuff up
if they're going to incorporate MMO elements into the game, they should apply more MMO style boss mechanics.
The recruitment pages on their website are /production01/ for the Takahashi project (and the message on the page mentions that it's for "Division 1 production"), /production02/ for the Zelda team, and /special/ for the fantasy project.
I liked how they experimented in XB2 with adding points in enemy attacks where they inflict a part of the driver combo on themselves (like those Aspars that have the big AOE spin that inflicts launch, so if you time your smash perfectly, you can cancel the attack), but they needed to do a lot more with it.
>Gears never because Square has no interest in games not called FFVII.
Xenogears did recently have a crossover event in FF Record Keeper and was the ultimate boss in WoFF
>what's your favourite Xeno game?
Xenogears, one of my all time favorite vidya
>what are you hoping for?
For Xenoblade Chronicles X to emulate well. I've been wanting to play it, but I'm not buying a Wii U just for this one game.
How did we go from this
To this?
God this game was terrible, even the parts where they were clearly trying was tedious and snooze worthy
budget
cherry picking
please don't make this thread into some shitty wars
Xeno games are BLASPHEMOUS and the people who like these games hate God.
He was already OP, why the fuck did they give him a stat stick?
I'm pretty okay with God actually
The EIC initially thought it was one of those hater hardcore gamers who like to troll and try and cause trouble. I convinced him to let me play Xenogears on the Playstation, and write a review on it. I also did some research on the franchise, and what the worldly gaming media said about the game. There are two camps on Xenogears. Those that rebel against God love Xenogears. Those that honor God are offended by this retro video game. Xenogears supports Gnosticism. What is that? It is heresy and proven falsehoods that was left out of the Torah and Holy Bible. Xenogears promotes lies. People who have no problem with lies, and lying also are huge supporters of Xenogears. Family Friendly Gaming stands up for truth. So FFG and Xenogears are on polar opposites of this issue. Hence Xenogears receives an abysmal failing score. Xenogears contains bad language, enticement to lust, violence, sexual innuendo, blood, death, gore, suicide, and more. One of the most dangerous things in Xenogears is the attacks on Christians. Xenogears could easily be identified as hate speech against Christians. Just like its sort of prequel Xenosaga. The religious content in Xenogears is deep, and it gives a one way trip to be mean, hateful, and nasty to Christians. The turn based battles in Xenogears revolve around using certain buttons to attack (each button takes away so many attack points for that turn), and a time bar that charges. The quicker your time bar the more often you can attack. Certain special attacks are available when certain button presses are used. For example triangle and then 'X' produce a powerful attack from the main character.
There are anime like cut scenes that remind me of Star Blazers in Xenogears. The game can offer vague directions, and the rotational camera can easily turn players around thanks to the poor level design. The fights in Xenogears get boring really fast. It felt like an attempt to be part Street Fighter, and part RPG.
The lag in Xenogears is highly noticeable and disturbing. Numerous characters in Xenogears hate God, and want to attack him. You know Xenogears is probably the favorite game of many atheists. Players go into bars and taverns and run into drunk characters. Players also are required to steal in various plot points of Xenogears. The price of Xenogears on the market today is insanely high. Family Friendly Gaming had purchased one many years ago, so we had it already.
Do not buy Xenogears on the original Playstation, or any digital download of this poor excuse for a video game. The venomous hatred this game teaches has made the video game industry worse. It is sickening that a game that promotes hatred of God and Christians is considered a great game by the worldly rebellious gaming sites. At the same time games that teach a good lesson about God's love are attacked and bemoaned. The backwards nature of the video game industry shines brightly thanks to Xenogears. - RPG Master
Graphics: 50%
Sound: 20%
Replay/Extras: 35%
Gameplay: 60%
Family Friendly Factor: 10%
>I am very thankful that Family Friendly Gaming rented a copy of Xenoblade Chronicles X on the Wii U. This open world action adventure role playing video game looks great for a Wii game. Oh wait this is on the Wii U. Okay so it looks decent on the Wii U.
xenofags BTFO
>It is heresy and proven falsehoods that was left out of the Torah and Holy Bible.
>Implying that it was once part of the holy bible
Why was it removed then? Is it perhaps because IT'S TRUE?
I think the best thing they could do with the combat is increase the focus on positioning during combat, because that's one of the major things these games have that others don't. Give enemies more attacks that can be avoided by actually moving out of the way of them, give characters more options for quickly and smoothly moving around the battlefield, that sort of thing.
Suppose I've never played a Xeno game before. Tell me Xenofriends, what Xeno game should I play first?
Xenoblade and watch the "movies" of the others in youtube
Start with Gears and go from there, don't be a pussy like this guy
I've only played Gears and blade 1. Gears is okay at times, but the gameplay was boring. Blade 1 was just uninteresting in all aspects. Worth trying any of the others?
Depends, what did you like about Gears?
To not have any connections to the past games at all and be it's own thing.
>That awkward way Nia kicks her legs
Even more cringe than the dance
...
Preorders will be up tomorrow
Why's her hair that shade of blue?
Why do people keep drawing XC2 characters with other JPRG character's clothes? Sometimes it's not even JRPG characters.
I'd say it's true to her Xenosaga hair color
the question I want answered is why the same phonefaggot keeps spamming shitty crossover art in xeno threads
Is... this your first time hearing about crossover arts, or what? It's simple, when artists likes two games/series/whatever fondly, they tend to do crossover arts.
>what's your favourite Xeno game?
X and Gears are my favorites
>what Xeno game will we get next?
I want XBX2 but I'm expecting XB3
>what are you hoping for?
XBX2, Saga remasters, Gears re-release, more exploration, more mecha, more platforming, more mecha-platforming, more model kits
Ignore that faggot, he ban evaded again.
Yeah, but there's a whole bunch of brony tier artwork where they shove XC2 into literally everything, it's weird.
>Airy Mythra
What?
>Airy Mythra.
I am so confused, dunno what to feel. But I remembered one thing, I am still MAD about all the BD's fairies being evil bitches, I want a nice fairy!
Xfag is the only one that insults crossover art.
You know that isn't true.
it's an artist on twitter who takes requests, and one fucking orbiter who insists on shilling her crappy art here
Everytime his posts get nuked, any post insulting crossover art gets deleted too. It happened 3 times.
Well, I was one that asked what was up with the art, and this guy is one else, so there's two people in this thread questioning it.
I didn't even insult it, either. Just wondering why.
Yeah, right, you were caught samefagging yesterday...again.
I've only played Xenoblade Chronicles, enjoyed it a lot. Will probably play X soon.
I played like 10 hours on Xenosaga 1, but honestly that game is a slog to play.
>dungeons are just long corridors with boring enemy encounters
>It's not a dealbreaker, but turn-based combat is not fun
The only good things were the story and world, which were pretty cool.
Should I play xenoblade 1 on crt or modern TV
I recently played through all the Xenosaga games. 2 is basically trash but I really liked 1 and 3. 1's biggest flaw is the absolutely snail-like pacing and everything taking forever, but god DAMN does it have some fun bosses. I guess I never grinded but some of them were straight nail biters.
3 is also very good but it feels like they streamlines it to be somewhere between 1 and 2 and the combat feels nice but generic. I never had any problems with anything in the game, and Shion is also sort of just a bitch for 95% of it. Still probably the most consistent overall.
modern TV
text is tiny as fuck, would be a pain in the ass in a crt
if you think someone's a shitposter, don't fucking reply to them, retard
modern TV. I played it on a CRT and it was absolutely miserable, the text was stupidly tiny.
That guy really isn't me.
There's no way to play Xenoblade 1 without some sort of fuckery. Even emulated the UI is garbage
What's wrong with the emulated UI? I had to switch to emulation for the last third or so of the game and I don't remember it being terrible.
I guess Nia would be Edea? Hang on, that is perfect.
Meowgrgr
>Xenoblade X
>More Xenoblade 2 shit
>More like Xenoblade X less like Xenoblade 2
I want Takahashi's new game to be shown in the next Direct.
I seriously doubt it'll be shown before next E3 at the earliest.
Do we know exactly when work started on it?
her pit smells nice
October of last year at the very latest.
Development (or at least planning) for XB2 started before X was even released, so it's possible that they've been working on it for a while now, but at the same time there's also Torna's (and the rest of the DLC) development time to consider. Who knows how that affected things.
fpbp
I'm expecting January/February direct, actually. But I'm not expecting a Takahashi game, just a Monolith Soft game. Next Xenoblade is either for late 2021, or for the next Nintendo console launch window like XC2 was
because GAMERS
the late winter/early spring 2020 direct is the earliest it could be seen as a teaser, then a full trailer at E3
Takahashi said (a while ago when their offices were more central and considerably smaller) that they broke up teams very differently than other studio and most teams consisted of several floating members who would move between teams particularly before and after new projects. He basically said their reason was to keep employees motivated and on top of their programming game instead of simply working on the same thing over and over again. He also said it helps to keep ideas fresh.
