Switch version is a downgrade visually but it ain't the focus when there is a lot more content including an SNES 2D sprite mode if you are into classic JRPGS. Also it has a new soundtrack that isn't midis

yeah it's better. There's a graphical downgrade but the sheer amount of content in it makes it by far the superior version.

those first few bossfights are hellish but its worth it for the other 90 hours of the game to be playable and it makes for a better hook to keep you invested than the mediocre characters or plot

no, you should just change the camera to classic in the options unless you have adhd and need to constantly move around.

I never did either and I'm giving it a playthrough. It's ok at best so far. It looks pretty but the music is atrocious and game-drop worthy. Gameplay wise it's pretty light and goes easy on introducing mechanics, which non-turn-based-rpg fans like me can appreciate.
I also can't install mods for some fucking reason even though it looks as simple as dropping a folder inside another folder.
