I watched Aladdin recently and I have Lion king downloaded. I'll watch it tomorrow to celebrate.

I hope TLK is not just the Genesis version emulated. SNES version sounded much better.

We're getting both.

If its Gebesis verion only, then hard pass. The sword combat was gay.

Turns out, it's got pretty much every version, including Super GameBoy.

Oh boy, I love paying for ROMs

>snes aladdin

The SNES version was missing parts of songs though.

So...it has everything BUT the SNES version of Aladdin?

>digital eclipse
YOU DONKEY

>rewind difficult areas
>save and continue from wherever
Lion King is literally like an hour long if that. Maybe 3 hours on first play through. What's the point of this shit tier 3000 supreme hand holding?

>Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and The Lion King includes the Sega Genesis, Game Boy, and Super Game Boy versions of Virgin Games’ Aladdin and The Lion King, as well as the Super Nintendo Entertainment System version of The Lion King.
It's half that

Hopefully they fix Lion King's level 2, that level was bullshit
>inb4 pleb filter

So no Super Aladdin then, trash collection

It's commonly accepted that the genesis Aladdin was way better than the SNES version.

There are constant threads on Yea Forums about how people could never beat the lion king. I personally have, but there are a lot of shitters out there, user.

Where the fuck is Goof Troop?

you should look at it as more of a means of preserving these games than anything.

Attached: 04 - Red Hot Riding Hood.vob_snapshot_04.01_[2018.04.18_07.49.49].jpg (640x480, 181K)

different devs.

>Snes version: made 100% by capcom
>Genesis/PC version: Made by Virgin interactive AND art made directly by disney.

you can imagine why the snes version is not here.

Then I'm an outlier then, I hated the sword combat and much preferred bouncing and flipping off enemies and the environment to progress.

KInd of a lousy collection unless they completely do new, completely HD sprites, which considering it's digital eclipse, is not happening.

The Game Boy versions are just literally worse versions of the games on the Genesis, so I don't even know why you'd include them.

Holy shit I would love to see a modern movie licensed shoveleare movie, it’s been so long.

Fuck yeah. I love the Aladdin games. Best soundtrack ever.

youtube.com/watch?v=LxYEOs1sxYY&list=PLB0xooEkKbSb61LVoWgox3fW3lse86LDD&index=40

Never played the Lion King games though, or rather I did and repressed the memory. Any reason for that?

Attached: Disney.png (1617x1045, 1.47M)

>It's commonly accepted*

*by retards

Virgin Disney games were fucking awful. Great graphics and sound does not make up for bouncy, loose controls and bad hit detection.

the art was made by disney's animators.

assuming Disnay still has the original assets on their archives, making HD versions of at least the big console versions of the games should be possible.

looks like they did

youtube.com/watch?v=ko8ey8JCpP8

People only say this because there's swordfighting in the Genesis version and that the animation was signed off by Disney animators. From a game design standpoint SNES Aladdin is much easier to control and arguably more fair to the player.

Hm..................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... I'm pretty sure Digital ecplipse has been working with capcom to make all of those collections they've been putting out. I wonder why the SNES verson isn't here... The genesis version is the one with the sword too, so it's not a violence thing.

I said this yesterday but i really hope this means they'll remaster those old ps1 disney games.
A bugs life, tarzan, toy story 2, emperors new grove, atlantis, Hercules.

>should be possible.

Should be? Maybe.

Will it? See Disney Afternoon Collection

It'd be pretty funky though to have HD sprites and Genesis fart noises. It'd need to be done up from the ground floor like the GOAT Ducktales (hey look, Capcom making a great game and Disney ignoring it)

/vr/ is taking their afternoon nap. It is time for us to settle this dispute once and for all.

OH NO NO NO NO

youtube.com/watch?v=ko8ey8JCpP8

It's another shitty port job by Digital Eclipse with emulation filters and being able to stretch a 4:3 game to make it fugly as fuck in 16:9

Why would I want to play 3 versions of the same game?
Or is it like the first Harry Potter games that every version was drastically different?

That's the only interesting part in the collection, and a retarded Switch owner would buy it for $30

Check out Sonic 2 and the Nickelodeon game show version. There could be huge difference.

Man I hope Disney makes a live-action remake of Mickey Mouse so we can get a re-release of Mickey Mania.

Attached: N.png (640x535, 196K)

>Why would I want to play 3 versions of the same game?

Their way to jack up the price

>Or is it like the first Harry Potter games that every version was drastically different?

They're not, just shittier versions. The Super Game Boy version is the exact same as the Game Boy version, but not black and white.

>increasingly large shadow of Miyamoto and ten lawyers dabbing looms over you

No idea. But I do know that Aladdin had a GBA port with SEVERAL new stages in it.

When both games were basic bitch platformers, having the better graphics and sound makes all the difference. They're not masterpieces, they're tie-in merchandise.

Still better than 2019 remakes.

I wonder if difficulty adjustments means easier or harder, I'd be interested in a Master Quest of Aladdin.

Nice. The GB version of the The Lion King was the shit

I was the target audience then as I played both as a kid and the Virgin game always looked and played terribly

Capcom actually tried with their games as their NES and SNES titles proved. The Mickey Mouse games on SNES by Capcom would be Mario tier classics if they weren't so tied to the license thing.

They are masterpieces though. Platformers were the biggest genre back then. No game made Megadrives fly off the shelves faster than Aladdin and the other one was made by fucking Capcom at its height.

Digital eclipse's founder gave a talk at GDC sometime ago
He realizes that games are not easy to preserve and have available to everyone. He brought up the monkey island remaster and how it allowed you to switch between the new graphics of the game and the old graphics... but he pointed out how there were SEVERAL "old" versions of monkey island, not just the one. What if you wanted the CGA graphics , huh???

So I imagine the different versions are to preserve the vidyas.

>digital eclipse
Already trash

I bet you enjoyed not having a final boss fight

>Disney Classic Games
So it will be a series, right?

>including 8bit port alongside the 16bit original
but they didnt include this, the third aladdin game

Attached: 46442-disney-s-aladdin-sega-master-system-front-cover.jpg (640x919, 219K)

>So I imagine the different versions are to preserve the vidyas.

Okay, but $30 for two games? Fucking seriously? Disney Afternoon Collection is 10 times better as it's six good games with no filler. (Oh, but virgin loving Yea Forumsirgins won't admit that here.)

I just went back to an olg EGM magazine to read their review of Aladdin on the NES and Gameboy.

The NES review is like "nigga is you smoking crack? A fucking NES game in 1993?" and doesn't offer much else. I guess only faggots didn't own a SNES back then. The gameboy version got similar low scores but seems somewhat different.

Isn't it already? There's a collection of their random NES games on PS4 that I've seen

GENESIS DOES

Sword combat was wack, he didnt use one and being more acrobatic was more fun

>SNES Aladdin Not Included

enjoy the gameboy versions though

So you are talking about this?

Attached: 395782-the-disney-afternoon-collection-xbox-one-front-cover[1].jpg (584x800, 128K)

That one's pretty based.

No GameGear/SMS Aladdin, no Timon and Pumbaa SNES game - and especially NO Aladdin fucking SNES to add some variety

This collection fucking sucks, but Switchtards will buy it in droves.

i'm not saying they're perfect, but they're doing their best. and I respect them for trying to preserve vidya...

They're also releasing a samurai showdown collection if you want more bang for your buck

Attached: 607. Rabbit of Seville (bluray) [Codres].mkv_snapshot_01.33_[2018.04.22_23.39.35].jpg (960x720, 319K)

Surely Switchtards are the ones complaining about lacking the shitty SNES game

>No game made Megadrives fly off the shelves faster than Aladdin
You're only technically right. Aladdin moved consoles because it was part of a promo where they were giving you two free games for buying a Genesis. I picked that and Sonic 2.

Attached: EDD8cqmXsAAta_9.jpg orig.jpg (2048x1152, 322K)

I don't mean to pick on Digital Eclipse, as Disney Afternoon Collection is actually a decent package - but this is so FUCKING THIN

Notice how they can't say "multiple games" as they're all the same fucking thing

>GB and Super GB Aladdin
wtf

Attached: Do-you-trust-me.jpg (700x1243, 198K)

>God Tier

>Alright Tier

>Actually quite bad Tier
Tailspin

One of my most vivid memories from my childhood is that we rented the game when I was in kindergarten and I spent the entire day hyping it up to my friend who had just seen the movie until he started to cry, because he wanted to play it so bad.

And even Disney Afternoon was hit or miss with its lack of SNES Bonkers and Goof Troop

>difficulty
>Aladdin
It had shit controls and bad level designs, it was never a "hard" game. 10 year old kids finished that game, if you couldn't you might have a brain tumor or some mental shit to be diagnosed.

Wasn't goof troop a shitty block-pushing puzzle game?

Because Capcom made it. Quick we need to assemble the MCU retards to bomb capcom's offices.

Because it's not a Digital Eclipse and Capcom thing. It's a Disney and Capcom thing. And Capcom is in a better situation than whoever the fuck owns Virgin interactive now, so making a deal with them is probably harder and Disney probably doesn't want to compromise just so they can make it a part of this bundle.

Yeah, but it's not bad

Nonsense. This is basically Volkmire's Inferno.

>?

Attached: 0.gif (500x328, 974K)

oh yeahhhhhh that happened

Attached: 3249336-untitled-1.jpg (960x960, 159K)

Now I didn't watch much goof troop because goofy is a fucking bum but I scarcely remember there being much pushing of blocks in the adverts.

>Capcom never put this on the Switch
>A collection of literal NES roms was put on everything but the Nintendo system
If you want anymore proof Capcom's Switch support is unbelievably bad, there it is

Attached: 1445967226867.jpg (380x380, 23K)

To be fair, that specific level absolutely is shitty design.

Imagine being too dumb to get goof troop

this is corny lo.l

It's digital eclipse. Their ports are so bad, they can't even get the color palette and sound to work right. You don't want that collection.

>no SNES Aladdin

Yeah, no. That just ruins the whole thing for me. I'd buy this shit in a heartbeat if the SNES version of Aladdin was included.

Don't think that matters. It's 100% a Disney property. I doubt Capcom has any rights to it whatsoever.

It's just some unrelated game that they slapped goofy's face on.

Volkmire's Inferno or Rug Ride?

>Available on every platform
>MUH SWITCHTARDS
obsessed.

Hm. Still have the old Genesis carts to these. Nostalgia.

>Monster Hunter leaves Nintendo
>It's the biggest and best selling entry in the entire series' history

They really don't need Switchers.

When I think of the kind of person to buy a lousy ass collection like this or bad ports in general, my mind goes to Switchers, and there's precedent for this

kotaku.com/super-meat-boy-is-the-latest-port-to-sell-better-than-e-1822056498

>It's just some unrelated game that they slapped goofy's face on.

There's an episode where they go to Hawaii to renew Pete and Peg's vows, and there's a part with a volcano, anyway, it's pretty similar to that episode.

>Linking Kotaku
You needn't say another word

Shut the fuck up Boco

Another shitigal eclipse port
Stop giving them work

>I can't play

When has that ever stopped them before? Capcom invented milking shit for all it's worth.

I mean the 3DS had 6 separate fucking monster hunter games. How much of a braindead fanboy would you have to be to buy 6 MHs on one handheld?

Attached: AdMM3.png (460x630, 358K)

They underbid everyone, so it's never going to stop.

>They really don't need Switchers.
>He says as they port their 20th old game to Switch
Sound like they need them to me

Attached: 1562454052219.jpg (790x1200, 332K)

snes version of aladdin was better. swordfags can kill themselves

To be honest, it's not even that. It's that game collections used to be 40 games for $20. Or 30 games for $20. Or 10 games for $20

$20 was a good price for old ass games.

Now it's $30... for 2 games.

Just so you know, this Aladdin/Lion King collection has nothing to do with Capcom.

>Switchers
>Kotaku
Opinion Discarded samefag

Attached: 1527876865447.jpg (500x281, 11K)

Yes sir...

Every collection should do this

Genesis Aladdin is so much better

>I doubt Capcom has any rights to it whatsoever.
Disney owns the rights to the characters, Capcom owns the rights to the work in which those properly licensed characters appear. Basically either company can block the other from re-releasing it, which is usually circumvented by bags of money.

Yeah both posts are me and I'm responding to someone who quoted me. Good job, detective dipshit with the reddit image.

Of course I do. Even if Capcom was involved it'd just be yet another old port for the system

Do they? Do they really? Given how much they interfered with Kingdom Hearts 3 and what's currently happening to Star Wars games?

Genesis had sword play, and Blast Processed versions of the movie songs.

I regret even buying one.

fuck off Kotakufag

Super Game Boy is the exact same thing as Game Boy and they're both just butchered versions of the console game, stop acting like this is a perk. You must be Nintenhomos

>Oh boy, I can't wait to play shitty handheld games on my handheld

The reason they can underbid was because they have buggy collections there is a reason the mega man collections after the first aren’t done by them they can’t make a good emulator

youtube.com/watch?v=ko8ey8JCpP8

The Super Game Boy is the greatest addon of all time.

Snes, nigga, it's obvious the best looking one and it looks exactly like the film.

>no snes aladdin
they had ONE job
jesus christ

>rebuy 30 year old games right fucking now

Attached: 13.jpg (399x398, 42K)

>pay to watch us remake a 30 year old movie with soulless CG
it's the same money milking shit, it's fucking disney

They didn't remake the games though.

When Disney + comes out I'm sure people will watch the original Aladdin, thus paying for 30 year old movies.

MAN I want the PS1 Aladdin Nasira's Revenge remake
that game was fucking awesome

Still using the original animated style.

Goes to show how quickly the remakes are forgotten.

/thread

... because the games are based on those 90's movies.

This is more like when an obscure TV series gets a DVD/Bluray rerelease when the new movie is out

I owned this as a kid.

Attached: 6410435.jpg (600x600, 83K)

I have a feeling the controls are going to be delayed as fuck

Other than DMC, this sounds like a physical collector's problem and that's it. As for price point, just wait til it goes on sale.

Hey you know what man sometimes you just want to give this largest entertainment corporation in the world some more money.

This movie had some damn good sets and props, everything was captured perfectly.

*3rd largest

Capcom and Disney should do a collection/remakes of the Magical Quest Trilogy.

just kills it as a collection
snes and genesis versions are the reasons to buy it afterall

No suicide game over no buy youtube.com/watch?v=FTNgqTpyQEg

>Classic games collection

Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow

While i appreciate the effort of putting all those different versions, 30 bucks for this still feels too much. Will probably get it when it's on sale.

This.

Where is Jungle Book?

So this is why they were delisted from GOG

I hear that the good version is the Saturn/PSX one. The SNES and Genesis are a horrible mess.

SNES alladin is just the easier game

casuals couldn't beat the genesis game and every retard could beat the SNES game
