Okay listen to this, hear me out now.

Zombies

>not res8ent 8vil

how much you get paid for fishing for ideas?

Umbrella opens a firm in ye olde england and starts using magic to make zombies.

The Thing. But in Resident Evil.

Pffft, sounds dumb. Here’s what I’m thinking: mind-controlling parasites.

Zombies are horny and Claire is lonely

>not RE8IDENT EVIL

Back to the Roots. Campy but Serious Design and Dialogue. If its set in the late 90s they could easily go for that aesthetics.

Overhaul of the 'old' Formular but with new Aspects. Somewhere in between REmake 1 and 2

>palagas
>old wood structures in the woods
RE 4x2 confirmed

>late 90s
The game will take place after 7.

Racoon Type setting, but maybe the Virus spread to another American City. You meet old casts and strong new likeable characters, good and bad

>not R8SI# 3VII_

based on that image?

Nah, we're already getting REmake 3. It won't take place in a metropolitan city.

7 isn't canon for me. eventhough it was entertaining

>not 88888888 8888

So less action shooting and more puzzle solving - point and click - movie stuff?

Holy smokes Timothy you're right, how could I have been so naive!?

It can play in the outskirts. I think some mountain terrain with gondolas and secret military bases or laboratories could be kino

I want jake to impregnate sherry pussy and make her mommy

One thing they need to change is the "hidden underground lab nobody expected oooooOOOOOoooo." It's happened so many times in RE games that it's par for the course now. I don't mind lab sections in RE games but their introduction needs to be changed somehow.

but labs are comfy...

make it the other way?
>exploring lab
>end in a mansion

So in the public eye, open lab?

>make it the other way?
nah getting closer to the core has to come in the end. what could work is; escape from labs, then survival trough landscape terrain with smaller structures here and there.

Next twist is that the entire game took place inside a replica world built underground complete with its own eco system and day/night cycles and the second half of the game you escape the underground facility back to the real world.

I wasn't saying I have a problem with lab sections, it's just you always know there will be a lab as the end game section in an RE game. They need to change it up a bit is all.
What if they had a mansion INSIDE the lab like:

This is a fantastic idea holy shit.

i like the idea of having some sort of travel in between. like with train for umbrella employes, getting the player near the end location. also a switch of flora and fauna would be nice

New character: Mary-Anne Josephine Wilkinson from the Deep South.
Umbrella mindcontrols people through CNN and (((Latenight Shows)))

Mary-Anne has to kill them all. Slaughter mindcontrolled libtards in a pair of hotpants.

basically that one resident evil 5 boss? Ouroboros, was it?

Resident Evil 4 but better. And you play as Sherry.

Chris Roidfield raids an abandoned Umbrella facility in bumfuck nowhere and finds a clone of himself. Meeting his own doppelganger, he now realizes that neither of them have to be virgins anymore.

It starts Jill

Attached: 2493910918_0474de0c94[1].jpg (362x500, 31K)

I don't care what the scenario is just give me fixed cameras back

Leon as main character.

It'd like a pairing that hasn't been done before. Like Jill and Leon or Claire and Jill

I hope it goes more along the lines of RE2 remake then 7. Hell I could actually go with another medium sized town being invaded by zombies and you having to make your way out of town. Basically make RE3 remake.

i like co op from 5 and 6

can we have games like that again?

Attached: download.jpg (226x223, 7K)

Umbrella's research was secretly copied by Mossad and they developed a new virus that turns people into effeminate retards. This new breed of zombie takes over academia and the media, Mary-Anne finds this out through her turbo autistic tinfoil powers and now she has to take down Mossad and free the world from the mind virus.

what makes you think the core isn't the mansion and not the lab?

I would like a Resident Evil that is like Days Gone but actually good.

You still have the RE structure with unlocking rooms, solving puzzles etc etc; but blown up to a much bigger scale. It is not Open World, just way bigger in scope; instead of having just a single zombie blocking a hallway, you have a swarm of zombies blocking an entire street.

Attached: 1344374193510.jpg (1024x768, 369K)

What if the replica world is your generic resident evil town, and all the people alive in it act like normal resident evil people (i.e. really fucking stupid) but the player acts like a normal human being. This way instead of the world feeling out of place to the main character and everyone else, the player feels out of place. This way is isn't the same trope of "simulation starts falling apart and you notice everything breaking." It would be more like "Do I belong here? Why is everything so crazy?"

RE6 but better, just full on Resident May Evil.
Get Itsuno on board if anything.

I wish man

Something after 7 but at least before 9

NO
Co-op shenanigans ruined several RE titles, literally the only game in which it wasn't absolute shit was Revelations 2.

you're just friendless to play it with and have fun

Small foggy sea town and lovecraftian horror

No 5 and 6 are the worst games in the main series

>888 88888888 8888

Leon and Ada together
sexual tension between them
Ada still a tsundere
they kiss after defeating final boss

don't care about the rest

A coop mode in mercenaries is as far as I go. coop in horror defuses any tension there could possible be.

This but stretched out to a full game

Attached: B175C5CF-3F3B-4FBC-83E6-81F207A400CD.jpg (1000x563, 70K)

It should be Resident Evil ∞
It should take place in a place between all of the game, and showcase how all of the games are really Wesker's attempt to redeem himself for selling his daughter.

Leon is probably impotent at this point and has weak sperm

his yellow fever makes him strong

prolongued exposure to biohazards is bad for your balls man

youtube.com/watch?v=owSgqL2wgb0
Outbreak rip off. Yes Resident evil 8 should be like outbreak. Divided on stages like and also main event will be in desert, like in P.E2. Monsters are new virus and zombies.

my friends rather go out than sit to play fucking vidya
which i do too

I want a return of T-Abyss, the Oozes looks great as standard enemies.

Hahaha

>TINY detailed sandbox city
>Legit zombie/monster population that you remembers dead zombies but also spawns new zombies/monsters on the borders of the map that wander in from the outside or otherwise appear based on events. Like Hunters or drowned zombies when an area isn't flooded anymore
>4 character MP, no tether
>dozens of characters to choose from with unique skills
>Some characters use powers like Wesker, but at a cost: the stronger you are with powers the less powerful weapons you're allowed to carry cause no one's going to trust a half-tyrant mofo with an RPG this ain't RE3 my nigga
>Steal the dying light engine, but tone the verticality WAY down (otherwise, it'd just be Dying Light)
>alter the map by doing things like restoring power = street lights and ridable subway trains/people movers
>Bring back Merchant from RE4
>Focus the story around protecting and improving The Citadel-- a refuge place from the overrun world while weeding out Umbrella Corp members who are hiding among the population and your own team, and sabatoging your efforts.
>Have legit gameplay elements from people sabotaging you, and reward/punish players for weeding out the assholes early/late.

>takes place in a remote research outpost in a frozen hellscape
Sounds pretty cool

Attached: C255BEC6-1423-4713-B44A-876936D6849C.jpg (1430x645, 72K)

You might like Conarium then it's a walking simulator though

That sounds pretty good, most of the games in that setting have no fucking combat unfortunately

Turn the 8 sideways and turn it into RE: Infinity. Give it a time travel plot where the world has been devastated by a biohazard and the various RE characters have to go back in time to various games to help rewrite history.

Let's think logically. It's clear they want to go back to their roots - literally (REmake2) as well as figuratively (RE7). I want to explore the world that has come to be in the post umbrella universe. BOW horrific super weapons have proliferated to third world countries in 4 and 5. The president of the United States was fucking killed by zombies in 6. The horrible Pandora's box Umbrella created is well and truly open, and people are living with the aftermath. Draw on post 9-11 terrorist anxieties, and close to home for the developers post Fukushima radiation anxiety.

The first world is now basically a police state as governments try to clamp down on bioweapons, all the while scrambling to spearhead their own secret programs. Security checkpoints are normal. Religious and social angst dominates the media as people try to deal with post death animation and the lingering overhead threat of bioterrorism

Set the game in a small, idyllic town, one of those Midwest ones with a big military base. You don't play anyone special, just your average townie. Maybe you know how to hunt or handle a rifle because >Midwest but that's about it.

The first part of the game is just navigating life under constant surveillance and pall of suspicion. Security checkpoints in every road, police performing invasive searches. People being picked up off the street for "questioning" with little provocation. Shortly into the game, something bad happens at the military base. An out real or security breach. Now you have to survive and escape town while BOWs and military response personnel are both trying to kill you.

Saw an user mention The Thing. The T-Cameron virus is the closest thing to that.

A game focused on a squad of umbrella agents sent to recover or eliminate a nemesis type B.O.W. that disguises itself as your mates and takes you out one by one would be fuckin sweet. Could bring back Jill or Leon as the main character.

Heeey that was my idea

Sounds fucking shit like RE4, 5 and 6 and Revelations

>The first part of the game is just navigating life under constant surveillance and pall of suspicion. Security checkpoints in every road, police performing invasive searches

Miss me with this gay shit

>Zombies
>More Leon and Ada
>No First person view
>Good puzzles
>More focus on the Survival Horror aspect of the game

Attached: 1566928958897.gif (220x188, 20K)

>4
>Shit
Fair enough, it's probably not a great idea I meandered there. But I want to see more of the consequences of the crazy shit that's happened. I want there to somehow still be tension and unease when zombies are no longer a foreign concept, but a reality people just deal with

Here me out, survival horror with bloodbourne combat

4 ruined the series for like 15 years

End the series as bringing back Wesker is simultaneously the only way forward while also being the worst possible thing they could do.

Contrariness for the sake of it

How the fuck can you think it didn't?

FEAR 2 kinda sort of already did this.

Maybe not for 8, but they really need make a fucking game with that Hookman concept. That shit would have been terrifying.

A super serious RE game that near the end gets flipped upside down by bringing back Wesker would be great.

I trust Capcom to do something fun. I've enjoyed every Resident Evil game except 6.

This but keep the 1st person view(or maybe let players toggle between 1st and 3rd person)

silent hill shattered memories?

>good game gets released
>bad games come out after
man fuck this good game

theres already a game out there like that you may have heard of, it's called Bloodborne.

It did emphasize run and gun over strategic planning and Hollywood action, but it was still plenty difficult and had plenty variety even if the castle overstayed its welcome (thank god for the minecart and Novistador segments).

It wasn't RE/BH as it was, but in hindsight I wouldn't say it was bad looking at how much worse the series got with 6 and Revelations.

Bring this guy back they can say that the Wesker you killed in RE5 was just a clone and the real one was hiding or some shit it's already canon that he's alive anyway

Attached: albert-wesker.jpg (600x500, 58K)

Which 1 shot character from a past game should come back?

How could they even bring him back? He fell in a volcano

>he's alive
explain. I don't keep up with the lore, but bringing Wesker back after 5 would be so fucking retarded, yet I can't see how they could keep the series going without him now that Umbrella is out of the picture.

>"good" game that completely deviates from the core series gameplay and atmosphere
>company chases the success of that game for more than a decade.

only if they completely retcon the matrix shit

OMG THIS SO MUCH

If the want games to be considered true art, we have to stop with the juvenile shooty bang bang dudebro crap, that's like, so fucking cringe. Instead, Resident Evil should be an interactive narrative experience that portrays life under an oppressive republican rule and offers poignant crtitique of midwestern gun culture and racist bigotry, without stupid gameplay to get in the way.

That... Isn't what I was going for at all... But I admit it was a bad idea.

Yeah but bloodbourne isnt hard enough for what I think proper survival horror is

Attached: 9971B784-0DAE-465B-84E0-76E13FFC07A0.jpg (1200x675, 83K)

Claire Redfield posts an online dating profile and dates guys in the pursuit of finding Mr Right

resident evil underworld had something like that and the 5th movie tried that as well, would work great for a game

you play as rebecca
sheva appears

at some point a helicopter pilot gets eaten by dinosaurs
also it's a tie-in to dino crisis

zombie-dinos or alien-dinos?

then bloodborne's gameplay wouldn't work because its super action based. You can't have true survival horror with action game roots.

Do you remember that really shitty RE cod rip off or some shit? Well, it's canon and confirmed to take place after RE6, and Wesker has a speaking role in it
youtube.com/watch?v=o-mp37Lf6zE
I think the matrix shit is cool but maybe they will tone it down

fixed
camera
angles

This. Should be virus that can turn living organisms in dinos.

>retcon the best part of his character

Attached: FE8C1598-9C02-4B8B-807E-CC43B9989374.gif (500x200, 887K)

Never EVER again stupid boomer

I've always wanted to see them tackle team-based horror.

You and (competent) ai companions with a emphasis on team and tactical mechanics versus more lethal and competent/numerous BOWs. Maybe set with HUNK and one of his teams.

The problem is this would inevitably be done poorly: not be even remotely scary, broken teammate AI, action combat like 5/6 etc.

>can't appreciate the artistic nuance of fixed camera angles

full fucking pleb

I would make it more like a spiritual successor which features metrovania aspects.
You play as either a young girl in search of her father or a detective that the girl hired.
Entire games takes place in a comfy looking castle or mansion on top of the snow covered swiz alps.
You find out relatively soon that the entire castle is full of magic and supernatural elements which give you both new ways to fight and traverse the castle.
Most important thing bring back the old japanese character design and don't use face scan.

less puzzle, no more going back and forth to open a fucking single door. Open world.

A soft reboot where the ending of RE: Gaiden is canon and Leon is the main antagonist.

>the thing = ice

Boy have I got a game for you

Attached: EC8A4427-7F93-4A1A-999E-AF99532FB3AB.jpg (850x995, 100K)

zombie-dinos
neo-nu-turbo-secret-ultrasekrit umbrella gets ahold of dr kirk or some scientist who knew a lot about the third energy project and he builds them a super third energy machine that brings a handful of dinosaurs just about to die to the present, they do umbrella shit, and voila
dinosaur monsters

I thought they already tried and failed with that one racoon city operations game that sucked.
Forgot the name of it

Billy Coen and Carlos Oliveira as Duo Blue Umbrella Special Operators. Their crimes will be pardoned if they do some jobs for the new reformed corporation

Co-op game with Barry and the girl they save in Gaiden. Barry is looking for answers about what really happened in Gaiden. "Flashback" mechanics where it switches to Barry and Leon on the ship and things you do in the flashback affect the present. Think of it as Barry having trouble remembering things so he replays the events in his head.

Zombie-dinos was in RE6.

zombie bears

Dino Crisis remake!

yeah but that was just one enemy
it was honestly a cool as fuck enemy in concept but in execution it was meh

RE Outbreak zoo level.

subplot where ada squats on my face

i'd play about gentle femdom daily life of leon and ada

Virus that can turn everyone in 10/10 succubus. Like in that hentai anime. Succubus outbreak.
Rebecca is main charecter.

I'm thinking less Operation: Racoon City or even the Co-op of 0, outbreak etc and more of the following:

third person view (re2make style) of HUNK and 2-3 commandos in a hallway in a mansion-style aesthetic. You hover over the door and order one of the commandos to breach and clear. Opening the door, he gets flattened and eviscerated by a flood of zombies. You and the remaining commandos open fire and down the zombies, but even after looting your comrade's body you find the squad seriously low on ammo.

Probably a big gay idea but I can dream.

>big titty succubi trying to rape nerdy rebecca
hey I like that
I think something like that happened in the chinese RE0 comic

A new bio research center celebrates it's opening on christmas eve.
Leon, Jill, Rebecca and Sherry get invited as lip service to make sure that everything is up to standards.
Of course something goes wrong and the entire facility enters lock down with all kinds of new half undead half animal hybrid monsters walking around. Also the IA in charage of security has gone nuts.
Turns out that the facility was trying to clone Wesker but it resulted in several types of fucked up copies.
Also introduce a younger new male character who turns out to be a mixture of Leon and Claire who was given fake memories.

I play a stealth, espionage game where you can use your feminine charm and a good dose of cockteasing to outplay your male counterparts.

basically this, it's Die Hard: RE
fuck now I want to play it
>Christmas eve
wait you did that on purpose

I watched Resident Evil Apocalypse for the lulz but I never watched anything beyond that specifically because "lol the virus took over the entire world and now everything is shit".
And do you have any idea how unbearable the Naughty Dog fags would become if you put anything from TLoU into Resident Evil? They litearally invented checkpoints and permanent martial law to contain biohazards as any of those fags would tell you.

BB is an action game. Survival horror enemies are an actual threat, not punching bags.

BARRY AS LEAD

I want a game with barry and rebecca
a real game, not a side game

Survival horror enemies are a punch bags for speedruns.

>Barry has developed early Alzheimer's disease and lives in a care home
>Chris a Jill regularly visit him but he often forgets they are and where he is
>Barry often has night terrors from ptsd caused by his days in S.T.A.R.S and B.S.A.A, but he has no context for them because he can only remember short moments from his past
>his flashbacks get slowly more severe and he literally zones our during the day, seeing his surroundings in the care home as being like locations from past missions
>care staff flash from looking like ordinary people to stuff from Barry's worst nightmares
>Barry slowly stops being able to differentiate his flashbacks from reality as the two become less and less distinct
>Barry is determined to escape the care home, which is the setting and goal of the game

An extremely popular, well-crafted highly selling and functional, enjoyable wrong fucking game for the wrong fucking audience. A linear shooter that encourages maximum kills for bing bing drops from enemies, with i-frame melee and boss-skip powerups for sale, as a sequel to a metroidvania focused on resource conservation. "Wow, an open world survival game ended up being more popular than the point&click adventure it's a sequel to and a lot of people say they enjoy the sequel? Who the hell would have guessed? It's almost like switching to a larger audience by switching to a more popular genre sells games."

I just really like holiday based games and snow levels.
I was more inspired by paradise eve and blue stinger then die hard

That's just the premise of "Senile Showdown: Arthfightis"

Why would something against succubus outbreak? Death from snu snu doesn't sound so bad.

It turns the girls into futas with massive cocks and balls.

What? Explain this idea please

good shit

Ok this is bad. Nuke option, ending.

It's time travel, the more you explain it the more it breaks apart.

Resident evil chronicles did that.

>can't achieve atmosphere or aesthetics without absolute control over camera
Back to the director's chair with you Kojima. Games are not for you

i would kill for a fucking remake of the thing, the one we got on the xbox was great but it was limited as shit
think of what they could do now

it's going to be some shit "evil residents" again
some shitty horror B movie like "the hills have eyes"
forget about science and evil corporations, we're stuck with shit like SAW and evil within and whatever the fuck revelations 2 and 7 was
the series is finally fuckin' dead

Come on, Wesker's redemption arc over his daughter sounds stupid but also kino.

reseightent eightvil?

The people who made Alien: Isolation should be making it. Use the same approach to the dynamic infection and suspicion mechanic as they used for the dynamic AI of the xeno except taken to the next level. So you never know who to trust. Plus instead of replicating 70's sci-fi environments they'd be replicating 80's arctic base environments.

The Thing is not hunting on prey. It is attacking then no one can see it, and doing replicate it.

It's the 80s in San Francisco and you're a bisexual man. Aids ridden homos try to suck and fuck you while you try to get across the city to your casual female sex partner. At the end you finally make it and there's a sex scene but the epilogue reveals that it's too late. Your degenerate bisexual lifestyle has already doomed you and you've already contracted the aids virus.

We go back to Africa and finish what we started. Kill all the niggers, infected or not.

Hotline miami rip off.

To be fair, a Re gane in the style of The hills have eyes could be fucking brutal.
You'd have to use stealth to kill enemies and in some parts watch how they rape and kill your family members.

It would be interesting the premise of some backroots hillbilies who got exposed to the virus and manage to adapt by killing and eating tourists and hikers.

Maybe set it in the Arklay mountains to go back to the roots and that alone would explain how these mutants exist in the first place. But that would be more like Wrong Turn or Deliverance.

Could a RE set in the 80s ever work?

RE is late nineties setting.

youtube.com/watch?v=3f8sjzETQ5o

I want a resident evil game where you play as mr bean style character that miraculously avoids all damage and fucks up other survivors in the proces.

-Outbreak in a mid-sized town
-Rebecca works for the relief effort on the outskirts
-She discovers that people from different areas of the town exhibit different stages of the disease
-If she could track down the patient zero by mapping out the spread and triangulating, a vaccine could be synthesized
-A bunch of soldiers take her to the town to look for the source
-Soldiers get wiped out, Rebecca is left to fend for herself
-Eventually she finds a group of unknown mercenaries, they team up
-Turns out Billy Coen is one of them and he's been working outside the law for over 20 years
-Billy's team were the ones who were hired to bring patient zero into the town and they had no idea he was a carrier of something. The team was left for dead as part of the experiment. They never met the person who hired them.
-They still have to find patient zero who has now mutated into something very dangerous
-Environments are reminiscent of Raccoon city. You play as Rebecca in scenario A and as Billy in scenario B once you've finished
-Rebecca's scenario has less combat but very complicated puzzles
-Every once in a while you can see a young girl in the distance watching you but she always runs away if you try to approach.
-Something is off about her and sometimes it feels like she's faking being scared

Attached: resident_evil_vendetta__rebecca_chambers.jpg (1215x657, 88K)

Oh shit, really? I didn't finish hotline Miami

>One of the possible ending leads to the creation of Dino Crisis timeline

Lol, but that was just the most shit out all of them

Look man, Coop story ruins a lot of level desing elements and put shenanigans that get away some feeling. BUT, having back the multiplayer raid mode and coop mercenaries too, that would be sick, and add a lot of play value to the product. The only good thing about Revelations games and 5, are Mercenaries and Raid mode, and i don't want that to happen to 8

Attached: 1534332593257.png (528x516, 445K)

Mercenaries and Raid should never be tacked on to the actual games. They should be separate products for those with bad taste.

That sounds retarded. But i love wesker, i hope they remake Code Veronica to make it less shit and bring him back without ruining a shit. REmake 2 is basically a new story, so they can re-do wesker better than he was in 5

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1280x720, 89K)

Those game modes are the only fun parts from the concept of making RE a coop experience. I don't mind having them, because also give more hours of enjoyment to the game. Having just the main storyline and higher difficulties is lame

You're someone who likes something else and thus wants Resident Evil to become that something else. Go away.

The real Wesker is actually a pretty good guy who has been framed by his evil clones.
In the end he decides to sacrifice for the greater good and accept being a scapegoat hated by the entire world as the evil villain.
In the last scene we see Chris standing by his grave giving him a military salute.

re5 style with one of the older characters in some tropical shithole like south America because every other place is already done from Africa to SEA islands to china
OR in Antarctica with underground areas featuring the pyraminds
OR
Zambie outbreak in NYC featuring Leon as he finally gets a desk job only to find himself surviving in a walled of NYC trying to find the cause of the outbreak, maybe a huge Umbrella facility under central park or something
OR
anything with HUNK ,maybe his origins
or if they don't wanna put a weaken the legend with all that weak shit , maybe a new fucked up OP like re4 where one man army HUNK kills everything operator style

Attached: 1549373916601.jpg (1920x1080, 296K)

RE: Battle Royale but it's all of Racoon city.

I want an outbreak remake with open world raccoon city

I playtasted RE8

>it is set in modern times Italy (probably RE7 sequel)
>was told that it's longer and bigger than any Resident Evil to date
>you start off in a modern city, move to a countryside village, then vintage winery mansion/castle (didn't see this part and the next one) and it ends in underground labs
>third person perspective
>protagonist is just a civilian caught in a beginning of a zombie outbreak
>Wesker might be back. They showed us some concept arts of a character that at least resembled him, but they just laughed and didn't tell his name. He was wearing a hood and dark tint glasses.
>there's a co-op mode and the second player plays an unnamed female civilian (this is what we were play testing)
>maps are very open and there's a lot of secrets. There is a very basic parkour system
>there's time and day system.
>at night more powerful enemies came out and it was encouraged to move through roofs and buildings, or just barricade yourself and wait for daytime
>I saw some dudes waiting out the night and the next cutscene that played was a little bit different for them than for us
>We were told that the longer you play the different will be the ending. Also the longer you play the background will turn more into a warzone. There will be Umbrella choppers and jets roaming the skies and you will hear gunshots as the soldiers try to push zombies back. You can even get rescued if you survive long enough without getting to the last location.
>we were playing on PC. Didn't see any PS5 devkits in a room we were playing

Tell capcom to add a Frank West dlc

Wesker
Wesker Jr.
The other Wesker that should have about now reached adulthood in her new body.

Also throw in Sherry and make the protagonist some new schmuck that isn't a supersoldier or has a crazy wife.

Tell capcom to add a Devil May Cry dlc

Make something like the scrapped RE4 prototype with castles and shit.

Would you play a crossover with Frank, Dante and Leon as the ultimate boomer team of protagonists?

You know, when I think about it, yes I would.

>What if they had a mansion INSIDE the lab
CVX and Revelations 2 already did that

>You're a member of the SFPD
>New iPhone comes out
>You arrive to a Walmart center you've been designated to police
>A huge swarm of normies banging the doors, it's about to be opening time
>The doors finally open and you remember... "Did I live the cloth iron turned on?"
>You have to escape through the waves of normies to get to your apartment
>Finally arrive but the building is engulfed in fire
>Can't get in but you need to get rid of proofs that you're the culprit so you sneak inside a hidden underground meth lab
>Go up, retrieve the iron, go for the rooftop
>For no reason at all a helicopter appears and rescues you and you look back as the building explodes

Attached: giphy[1].gif (264x479, 1.06M)

>Wesker
>daughter
Uhhhhhhh..?

Attached: cbc79d2d78cd759a618313be21f29368.jpg (500x734, 62K)

This sounds awful

I'd be fine with ethan staying as the protag. Give him the re2 to re4 leon treatment

It turns out that Jill is really Wesker's daughter in the original timeline.
Wesker sold her to be experimented on, and all the Resident Evil games are just him going to different timelines to try to escape his shame of what he has done.

Spain is not a third world country you dummy.

>in order to make ethan good you have to completely change his character between games
He will NEVER come back as a protagonist.
He is male-Rebecca

Make it an ots or fps shooter

The age difference between Wesker and Jill is 14 years, he sure started early.

>Look man, Coop story ruins a lot of level desing elements and put shenanigans that get away some feeling.
Ots camera perspective already does this so you may as well add in co-op

>TINY detailed sandbox city
Honestly, I know we all hate the sandbox meme but I genuinely think it could work for RE if they just confined it to a very small open-world sandbox. Keep it small but very condensed with content, secrets, and with that familiar RE level design that requires keys, puzzle-solving, etc.

Tell Capcom to add a Resident Evil DLC

Re4 sure depicted Spain as one.

What kind of place gets stuck in medieval levels of poverty with an actual 18th century aristocrat accumulating 95% of the wealth owning his own Castle and a futuristic island?

I admit that it was kino and awesome both in story and aesthetics but makes absolute zero sense in the real world. These were anime-tier levels of logic. But it was well done.

You can bullshit anything with NEW VIRUS. Spend the whole game with infected enemies that absorb and take on the qualities of stuff near them, then in the last 3rd of the game Wesker interrupts a boss fight and breathes fire at you.

No I like it too. Always wanted shooters about competent soldiers taking on spoopy shit with proper tactics and training. Properly clearing a room becomes very important when there's a chance that there's a face-eating abomination clinging to the ceiling in the corner. Flashbanging a room then storming in seems standard procedure but some of stuff you fight don't have eyes to get blinded with. The squad seems to be suffering from panic attacks after a bad encounter, till the old veteran figures it out and starts shooting randomly into shadowy parts of the room and a mindfuck monster tumbles out dead.

Isn't that the plot of the RE6 (the movie)?

Resident Evil Outbreak remake with all the cut content and proper online

CUTE AND OPTIMISMPILLED

I would actually kill to have the S.D. Perry books adapted to games. Caliban Cove would be the tits.

Here's what I'm thinking...

That would be rad but seems very unlikely considering the books aren't very famous among fans.

What I'd like to see is an anime based on the mangas. They are weird as fuck but would fit an anime pretty well.

Attached: Biohazard_0_VOL.1_-_front_cover.jpg (817x1176, 218K)

Thank you. That's exactly why I wanted it tiny, so there's no excuse. It should have like... Division levels of detail but most things are useful or interactive like Dying Light.

Tbh, you could genuinely steal the DL engine and work from there and you'd be okay.

This is why a HUNK centric game would still be dope AF. You could do something like RE7, but from his perspective. In a truly fucked scenario, stripped of his weapons after some catastrophic fuckup by the people who hired him, he has to fight his way out. Instead of how those games always go with whiny bitch tier protags, HUNK would straight merc everything in his way and murder his way out.

Imagine some fucking typical RE villain thinking he has HUNK dead to rights, trapped in some maze with him as he begins to mutate from whatever virus he's just injected himself with only for HUNK to pull the, "You're trapped i here with me" line.

>weird as fuck
you mean the series where a bunch of succubi try to trick billy into fucking rebecca by making him horny as fuck so he bites off one of their jaws and they turn into monsters?
the one where leon becomes literal god?

Yah this is pretty much the dream scenario.

A puzzle requires you to activate sensors in two rooms on opposite sides of the mansion. Do you split the squad and risk being caught undermanned by Nu-Nemesis or slowly crawl to both rooms with full outfit, and risk the extra time in transit?

That's literally the plot for one of the RE movies.

Correct. I would love to watch that in an anime.

7 is canon which reseted old canon and that's a fact
too bad for old serie part fans

Jake comes back as the main character

Jake is the equivalent to Raiden in MGS.
He would fit better in an action themed spin off.

what would be the deal with the girl though? re7 already had evil lil girl.

iirc there's some mediocre game by some eastern european studio that has this as its twist

RE OUTBREAK is the best co op

She's a cyborg

What does re7 reset?

basically all main events are the same but remakes are canon and old games are not

You watched too much code geas

>5
>worst
5 was the best selling

that's weird, i recall capcom talking about re2remake around launch time as a sorta limbo of canon and not canon, that the old game still had weight in the series. maybe i'm misremembering though.

Hmmm, could be cool I guess. I like the idea of her pretending to be scared though, develop that.

it's just what i heard, now i'm not 100% sure if it's true or not

This.
In short, Capcom dgaf. Everything is as canon as you like, depending on the inconsistency of each game.

Considering her last appearance, she's gonna need some really big ones.

Little hats can be stylish as well.

>end of RE8
>NatAlex successfully evaded being captured by the BSAA after they found her lab and Barry's gutted body
>the place she returned to was the ruins of the Arklay Mansion
>when she arrives, she see a fresh apple on the floor
>Jake Wesker, who had changed his name after RE6, is there and is about to attack NatAlex but suddenly a hand bursts through his chest
>out of Jake's body climbs a completely naked Albert Wesker, looking exactly as he did in RE5
>as Jake falls, his body essentially in half from birthing a man larger than himself, he say "I never got to see Claire again" revealing Jake was in fact Steve Burnside who Wesker had experimented on for years following CVX
>Wesker looks to NatAlex and proceeds to say "Project W will resume operation" and begins to take off NatAlex's clothes
>credits roll
>Post Credit scene
>Leon arrives at the Arklay Mansion, and NatAlex shoots him, grazing his neck and Wesker tells her not to worry
>Green blood drips from "Leon's" neck and he says "We're finally home"

Funny enough, the revelation hue of Revelations 2 ending actually opens up that possiblity Alex Wesker successfully found a way to implant ones conciousness into another body, AND both Weskers had good contact to each other (hell, Alex is a sociopath thru and thru, but Albert was the only person she actually saw as her equal). Entirely possible he may have pulled it off.

holy shit user this hurt my lungs from laughing

Make it a game where you play as one of Excella's bodyguards with a similar relationship between Travolta and Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction, only instead of a drug overdose, she gets infected and you have to protect her during an outbreak.

just to fuck with people call it ''Resident Evil III''

Set in an old abandoned mall, you fight spooky animatronic robots that can't die

have 10 playable characters but the game has permadeath so it's like 10 lives for the entire game

70$ bucks for the standard game...or a free to play online mode where you play as the enemies in the regular player's games.

the final boss is a giant balloon shaped like the head of M. Bison

Attached: 1529622351641.gif (500x370, 2.93M)

You know what though? That very scene he posted as an example from that movie is the best made practical effect in the movie. One of the few the production crew managed to make before the higher ups told them to cheaply throw together the rest using shit CGI. They built a stretching face with a moving eye like that. The Thing 2011 is one of the biggest missed opportunities in cinema and everyone who actually worked on the goddamn thing wanted it to be just like the Carpenter movie. But the people who handle the money disagreed and demanded they ruin it.

re3 remake and re4 remaster first (not some lazy shitty 4k upscale, I'm talking about spyro the dragon tier of remaster), then make re8 in open world fps style to break the pace. re8 should be set in cold winter areas with little towns, forests and mountains. after than make dino crisis again you fuckers.

i will never stop be mad over IT

Attached: haah.jpg (960x640, 477K)

I've seen some videos and read a bit about this. What differentiates the hookman from Nemesis? I haven't looked at it a ton

They already did that. RE2 Remake kept everything that RE4 did right and removed everything RE4 did wrong.

-They kept the third person camera and quick melee attack that RE4 introduced instead of having static camera angles and having the knife be a primary weapon.
-...aand that's it. There's nothing else that RE4 did right.

-No level design that's a single hallway forward
-No bing bing wahoo treasure drops
-No enemy ammo and health drops
-No incremental arsenal upgrades you can buy
-No boss fight skip powerups you can buy
-No ingame QTEs
-No cutscene QTEs with death states
-No iframe melee kicks and suplexes
-No jumping down ladders that are 30m tall
-No enemies with guns
-No escort missions with terrible friendly AI

Yes, and the point is strategic use of resources, not ramboing it. That's why enemies in RE have widely varying health for the same enemy types

That's a nice police cosplay.

Re4 had a better voice actor for Leon and better one-liners.
If only they have Leon in the style of Darkside Chronicles...

Same idea as ever
>REmake2 gameplay
>play as old hermit man in the woods living off the land
>suddenly more and more game become diseased an inedible, eventually the wildlife begin to attack and eat each other
>now the old man's residence is evil
>find out throughout the game, or towards the end of the game that the old man is Billy
I read somewhere that Capcom were working on bringing back the whole hallucination mechanics from RE3.5, so that would be pretty dope to see.

Attached: 1474957828006.jpg (736x1028, 82K)

The actor of REmake2 Leon is terrible yes, but the one liners are supposed to be bad. He's a normal rookie policeman, not a ridiculous anime action superhero. Leon's VA was better in RE4 than in RE2 OG, but Leon being the way he is in RE4 is a mistake, just like 98% of the rest of the game.

>Formular

Attached: Krabs_artwork.png (500x500, 201K)

Why not make it the best of both worlds?
>Resident Evil 8: OUTBREAK
>plot heavy like the mainline games
>Outbreak's multiplayer
Of course, include an offline solo mode.

Attached: jill smoke.gif (245x250, 962K)

Except return him to his RE6 look and not this blunder

You can't call the best Leon a mistake.
In Darkside Chronicles, Leon is still a rookie cop in the plot but has the same laid-back attitude from 4, which is way better than larping as a "normal scared guy" for the sake of realism.

I still think that awkwardly blurting out "chew on that.. you... overgrown... sonofabitch" fits better with a day-1 cop facing a giant monster than that same guy confidently exclaiming "GOT GAS, HANDBAG CANDIDATE??" and dabbing

Except thats bullshit. All the main games are still canon.

both Evil Within 1 and 2 are vastly underrated by Yea Forums in my opinion.
they are pretty much just as good as resident evil 4. but I guess Yea Forums hates RE4.

If you want to have everything in one, you could do a Resident evil ∞ with half of the symbol in a different color so it looks like a 3.
Then we have Re 8 which is also Re3 which is also Outbreak.
>Small town open world Raccoon City and surroundings
>Multiple playable characters.
>Jill has her own unique storyline
>Multiple endings
>Ending Good+ or S+ avoids Raccoon City getting nuked, this time enabling a new canon timeline
And that's how you save an entire saga, lads

Attached: Bill Murray lost.jpg (480x360, 24K)

>Jill as main character...she is the BSAA
permanent watch eye working with Bluebrella and making sure they dont fuck up.
>She recovered from Wesker Saturation but when her next job is dealing with a island taken over by the Mold she get allucinations of Wesker, kinda similar with the last parts of RE7
>Heck they could bring a little of the RE4 old version with the hookman and shit.
>Jill get alucinations of Wesker because of island having connections with H.C.F and having hints of Wesker being Alive(If Unbrella corps is canon)
>One of the main Bad guys is a B.O.W. Like Eveline but fully developed and inteligent
>It a little boy just for the shota potential
>should be a good time to fix RE7 main problem enemy variety.Makes a big mix of Virus monsters but taken by the molded, makes some crazy shit like Chimeras monsters with black goo that talks thanks to the B.O.W. Kid wanting to fuck up with you.
>Camera just like REmake 2 but with a first person as unlockable(cmon if evil wihtin 2 did this, you should too)

I would like to Mia to be the secondary character(due to making a deal to Bluebrella to give info about the connections in exchange to being free but working to then) to various reasons...Clash with new character and a old classic, that show that Bluebrella is still shady as fuck, showing Jill arguing with Mia how shit she is for working with mind control B.O.W.s since Jill knows how to fell about being controlled by other people....But i dunno if a two female protag would work,Also Mia is not much soo i dunno...i just want that they stop overusing the same characters over and over and try something diferent...Jill is a exception becuase her last game was ages ago.

>S+ avoids Raccoon City getting nuked, this time enabling a new canon timeline
How the fuck does saving a zombie virus from destruction enable any kind of a decent new timeline?

Do you guys think the playtesters Capcom got are going to leak anything come September?
Or will the game already be revealed by then

Oh yeah, absolutely fits better. And I used to think the same.
But looking at the games, every Re had normal characters facing disturbing things and either reacting stupidly calm for their situation or one-liner action hero response. Usually a combination of the two.

And it worked surprisingly well but it was mostly awkward because of the low quality of the one-liners, so I believe it would have been eons better if they had gone full cheesy action movie one-liners with a game that already puts characters under unrealistic experiences. And they actually did it anyway in the end like when Claire fight Birkin in the lab.

I refer to Darkside Chronicles as an example because that game was absolute shit but the dialogues were one of the best in a Re game. It had peak sassy Leon and peak nervous Claire screwing with each other with stupid quotes that actually worked, mostly because it was honest and intended unapologetically to be that way instead of pretending to be something else.

Thank god Capcom doesnt listen peoples from outside

RACCOON CITY
BATTLE
ROYALE

What if a city just got overrun with horses.
Like you’re stuck in a hospital full of horses and they keep stomping people and the whole city is dead except legions of angry horses who feast on the living.

Either two things happen
>Save the city from the virus killing most creatures but some of them are still roaming. (Obviously for the sake of gameplay enemies would still appear after you complete the game ensuring more sandbox fun)
Or
>The virus just keeps spreading across the country
Pretty decent new timelines if you ask me. You could have new games set in a fallout like Raccoon City with different factions and creatures.

Attached: B25B5DA1-1A79-46D5-9B43-2DE9457F7C33.gif (400x221, 554K)

I’ve never been outside.

Of course you werent. You are on Yea Forums

That's shit and the Anderson movies when from shit to ultra-shit as soon as it went post-apocalyptic. Plus free-roaming post-game gameplay with "factions" is for some open world trash or something. What do you think Resident Evil is?

re7 but like a urban ish small open town with zombos. Think alan wake american nightmare

>keep the first person view
>stay in a contained environment but a larger one than the ranch
>keep the gameplay simple but limit resources even more
>less/shorter cutscenes to keep replay value up

I mean really just do what you did with 7 but with the improvements from Remake 2. You really can't go wrong. RE is in a good balance right now.

Post-apocalyptic themes and different factions are just plot features. Very easy to introduce in a Re game.
What seems to be hard is to actually make a Re game feel like the originals. It doesn't matter how shitty the story is but how do you present it.

How do you do it? The plot, whatever it is, must be focused on a mystery that's unravel through files and puzzles. Every area should tell its own story, hence why camera angles were key but now are unusable in terms of gameplay.
That's why the game map should be as tiny as possible in order to let you explore every unique corner of a room.
I'd prefer tank controls and I'm actually ok with a first person view but I don't really care. It should definitely not be action focused, and be slow paced.

Attached: becca tfw.jpg (887x1021, 158K)

A new mansion in the mountains. The story focuses on shit heroine rebecca chambers as she tries and inevitably fails to land on top of a nearby mountain to find the lost Billy who sent her a letter. After crashing her radio actually still works and Barry burton, and jill valentine come to her rescue. They find within the mansion Billy was kidnapped by Spencer for "his special genetics" also Spencer is a Timegod now and sends the cast through traumatic events in their past that ultimately end with them getting PTSD. Chris Redfield who already has PTSD and is immune shows up to BTFO spencer. Billy and rebecca die.
The end.

That just makes it even better.

>Every area should tell its own story, hence why camera angles were key
You don't know how to do environmental storytelling if you need control over the camera for it. Claim otherwise to 00's Valve and get your shit pushed in.

Step one: Don't make Resident Evil 8

>A new mansion in the mountains. The story focuses on shit heroine rebecca chambers as she tries and inevitably fails to land on top of a nearby mountain to find the lost Billy who sent her a letter. After crashing her radio actually still works and Barry burton, and jill valentine come to her rescue.
It was a decent start but then everything went to shit. I do agree that Barry, Rebecca and Jill would make a pretty comfy team. I always wanted a game with Leon and Jill, though. They never had a game together.

ARPG revolve around CQC

>VR only
It would be financial suicide but I don't care. RE7 was great but it had to hold back due to controller support.

I cant imagine. I've never seen jill and leon interact. Leon would probably be after her ass while she continuously cucks him with cold shoulder type shit.

I don't need control in order to, in fact I prefer ots or fps over it. But it was done right in the first games and it made every angle tell its own story, which is why I mention them as a key element. But you're absolutely right that they're not necessary. I attribute their success to the art direction mostly.

Ashley Graham is POTUS.
She issues an executive order for compulsory overtime for her personal bodyguard.

No way fag

A decent, long campaign that features ALL of the still alive classic characters, and gives them a through, satisfying ending.

If any series could do with wiping the slate clean, it's RE.

VR is trash. Normal controls with a 3d display is where the industry should have gone next instead of skipping straight to dysfunctional low-rent holodeck wishful thinking where you pretend the weightless recoilless pieces of shit in your hands are heavy weapons and ignore that doors don't have any resistance when you drag them open with your incorporeal hands.

I guarantee you there would be some pretty funny flirty one-liners and maybe a hint they would go drinking at the end.
>Jill falls through some rotten stairs and Leon catches her
>"Watch out, you still owe me a date"
>"Last time I checked, you did"

I think we'll get the full on super realistic weights and forces VR one day. We'll likely not be alive to use it though.

3DTV has nothing on VR though in terms of perceived scale. All 3d displays give you is perceived depth relations between the layers, plus regular controller inputs leading to weird shit as having to aim against 2d hud elements put into a 3d space.

That said, having played Uncharted 3 on a 3dtv during the main push of 3d gaming, I wouldn't have had that game any other way.

How about a game with all the spin off characters?
Bruce McGivern, Ark Thompson and Kevin Ryman team up to go camping and drop some acid in the Arklay Mountains.

It needs to be self aware.
They have to fight shitty second rate monsters, and the big bad is some guy who was fire from Umberella because he wasn't up to scratch.

I always wanted a VR system that allows me to feel extreme physical and psychological pain. Enough to leave me with PTSD and schizophrenia.

I want a las plagas type outbreak like in RE4 and RE5, but way scarier than they were in those games. Not as much actiony gameplay as RE4, but more horror gameplay instead

CAPCOM

HIRE THIS MAN

HIRE THIS MAN NOW

just like re7 but without that shitty tanker part

VR mode, but, they need to balance it so it works both ways. I finished RE7 in VR and tried playing it through flat, and it just felt soulless.

YO

I THOUGHT I WAS ALONE

I got all the way through that game and loved it like a RE4 Lite and then the fucking end is this garbo warbo tanker shit.

YES
i was one of the few people that like that one The Thing game, and something like it would be absolutely kino with a AAA budget
the whole leeches thing and Ouroboros from 5 is not that far from the thing anyway

>plus regular controller inputs leading to weird shit as having to aim against 2d hud elements put into a 3d space.
The first thing that Carmack ever did when he went to work at Oculus was convert Quake 2 and all its 2d interface stuff into being compatible with stereoscopic 3d. Hud elements are rendered onto 3d-geometry as specified depth and crosshairs are 3d objects projected to dynamic scale within the 3d world.
Also VR headsets are 3d displays. I didn't say it should be on some obsolete 3d TV hardware. I just want a game that works and has good controls except rendered in stereoscopic. Fuck all this primitive unresponsive floaty tracking control. All it does is constantly remind you of how unrealistic it is due to its shortcomings.

Keep the same map design and gameplay from Resident Evil 1, but with actual difficulty, real resource management and the shit puzzles removed

i just want a spinoff game where you play as post tyrant wesker developed by platinum games after seeing what he does in umbrella chronicles and 5

This
Not a Hero made up for it a little

>Can play as any of the currently alive characters
>Play as their perspective through the story
>Story is that one by one everyone is somehow going missing
>You finally get captured
>Awake in a giant dining room with everyone else
>Everyone is super confused, nothing happens for a few minutes as everyone discusses what happened, what to do next, etc
>Two giant doors at the head of the table swing open
>It's Wesker
>Everyone freaks the fuck out, some (see: Chris) try attacking him only to get knocked back, Wesker is even stronger now
>Really awkward dinner section plays out as Wesker monologues about what happened to him, his plans, blah blah blah
>Game revolves around Wesker putting everyone through various trials based off old games and some new unique scenarios
>Most of them are "what if X character was in Y game?"
>What if Chris was in RE2? Really stupid fighting scenes happen with him and Mr. X.
>What if Clair was in RE5? How would she get past the boulder?
>Bunch of other weird scenarios crafted by Wesker for his amusement play out
>Everyone manages to get through them, final boss fight is everyone fighting Wesker in some giant elaborate arena

They could work as pest control for small BOWS. They are almost harmless but still as dangerous as a normal snake or a poisonous scorpion.
>The BSAA bullies them whenever they encounter.
>The pay is bad and they need to make ends meet.
>After a drinking night they see a guy about to kill himself at the river
>They stop him and he tells them he was this failed Umbrella scientist nobody respected that lost half his stuff and the custody of his kiids after being fired
>They make a deal with him to make small shitty creatures and spread them across the city so they can have more job calls and share the profits afterwards

I’d sell my soul for this game to be made

sounds like TLOU aka very fucking gay

4 wasn't good either so...

Would you play a resident evil game without any kind of monsters? It's just an existential drama about living in a world where horrible things like that can happen and the anxiety it brings on the average person.
Thinking it again, that would be better for a movie.

Gags based around moments from the series.

BLOOD? IS THAT, ARKS BLOOD?

No Bruce. It's ketchup. Just Ketchup.

3rd person, play as girl with skimpy clothes

>Shame she's dating that roided retard.
>I don't care at the moment. I'm so hungry right now I would gladly eat a Jill sandwich.

If I worked for them I'd do it. I've seen pretty good ideas in this god forsaken site. Then again if I worked for them, I wouldn't be here in the first place.

Wait
no
...
okay
The residents of a small village of two hundred or so inhabitants somewhere in Canada's Northwest Territories are disappearing one by one.
Purported sightings of manbearpig-like creatures become increasingly common; rumours begin to spread. This catches the attention of the BSAA and they decide to investigate.

Attached: 1542235666743.jpg (425x292, 23K)

Somehow, Stone Cold Steve Austin is the only hope we have left.

It would be interesting to explore the bureaucratic problems of the jurisdiction between the BSAA, FBI, CIA, Mossad, MI6, etc...
And of course the influence of the Rothschilds, Rockefellers, Spencers, etc...

im thinking oatmeal black goo zombie controlled by nano machines

Do the nanomachines synthesize parasitic life forms or viruses?

What is that picture from?

As much as I loved the series after code veronica it went to shit. 4 was great but spawned re 5 which was only bearable because it wrapped up chris vs wesker. 6 was absolute dogshit and in my mind 7 is not a resident evil game. We had enough characters with no closure we didn't need some nameless dude saving his wife from the Adam's family. The reboot of 2 gives me hope they will continue with 3 and possibly code veronica remake. That's as high as my hopes are for the series atm.

What is this music genre called?
