What's generic about using combining psychic powers with third person shooting? Only other game I can think of with the same combination is Quantum Break, which felt really fresh compared to the generic cover shooters that came before it.

The game is extremely demanding, it runs at sub-20 FPS at times on the PS4 Pro at 1080p, and your GPU is only maybe 10-15% faster than a PS4 Pro GPU (RX 470).

runs fine if you turn down volumetric lighting, reflections and SSR since they seem to drain more power without any visual difference.
all the other settings barely affect the framerate so there's no reason to lower them

The premise is interesting, and so are the skills you have. However the story is incoherent and predictable. Also:

Like all nuRemedy games I think I once again got fooled by the pretty lights and TECHNOLOGY they throw around. Sure the writing is good but my fucking god after a few hours the combat just becomes mindnumbingly boring. The tie-ins to Alan Wake and Quantum Break are especially fun.

This is exacerbated by dogshit enemy variety especially in a setting like this, fuck all "gun variety" because they thought the gimmick of WOW ONE (1) MODDABLE GUN would be cool, and abilities that I'm 100% sure they designed with spectacle in mind first. It's all a fucking gimmick to show the tech they have. Like who fucking cares if you can pick up almost anything in the environment as a weapon? At the end of the day it's all the same shit of pick up generic object XYZ to do throw it at your opponent. Even if there weren't any objects she'll just make up a ball of rock from the ground which pretty much acts the same way highlighting just how little the gimmick actually matters.

The best thing about the game is the fridge boss just because of how utterly absurd it is and even then it's not THAT good. I find it immensely disappointing that despite touting itself as some sort of SCP-tier clusterfuck, none of those inherent absurdities in the setting ever manifest themselves in the gameplay at all except for maybe the set pieces which hearkens back to my previous point of how all of this exists to simply show off the physics and tech in the game.

For fuck's sake Remedy. At least have the decency to not break the pacing by having me read through loads of fluff in a paused menu just to experience your fun writing.

You literally run face first into the enemies throwing when u can mostly and shooting when u can't throw, until ur psychic powers bar recharges.
