I'll tell you why its the best game ever made: because everyone wants to play with people that they like.

We all know what we want to do here, but we can't just ask someone else to make it for us. I will spend a few pages on what we did. But most of the time, people don't know what they want, so they start searching, and they find a team or couple of people that they like. Then in the next few years they will have a game they think they want to play. But it doesn't mean you don't do your first play tests on them, do more play tests on them.

We had two ways to do this:

1. In the beginning, a community of people (in this case, players), that would spend money to support the game and give you feedback, as well as show what they think, we would work on different things, and they would spend money to put in this feedback. After a while, we would see a trend, it would become a big part of the game. It was only when it started showing

It's the only post-N64 Zelda that felt like a REAL Zelda game. The original games were open world and that's what the series should always be.

Shrines were unnecessary and dungeons were just crap. No doubt about those things though.

I just dont understand why and how?? How could it be the best? I can give you around 20 games out of my head that are far better.

BotW is just better designed than most games.

You need to be educated to understand the craft.

I'd be down for a mod that, instead of breaking the weapon, it starts doing 0 damage, it takes like three times as long to break, and you can repair them using rupees and/or resources you can find out in the wild.

Yes the design is great, but not enough to make it the best game ever made.
