Cyberpunk character creation ‘massively expanded’ following E3 feedback

>“I can probably compare it more with last year’s E3 [2018], after which we massively expanded the character creation options and added a lot more stuff, which was a response to that,” she said.

>“We just listened to what people wanted, how they thought we could improve… we really expanded that, which I think is really exciting. You can actually make your own character now; you can change your body type, you can pick a voice you like, you can make all kinds of combinations.”

>"We really appreciate the feedback that we get from these demos and we are constantly looking to see what we can improve. "

>"CD Projekt is a company that’s full of gamers: we’re making games but also playing them. So to that effect we’re listening to everything and if you have comments about the game’s audio, we will pass it on, and if you have comments about lighting, we’ll send them to lighting. We just want to make a top notch product. Very few people at CDPR are settling for ‘OK’ – we’re trying to do something exceptional here. In terms of feedback, we’ll listen to whatever you have – good or bad!”

We're going home bros... Friday can't come soon enough.

Ragebaiting? I was being genuine. I don't see how expanded character creator is anything but a plus.

>pick body type
>not gender

I hope this means we can equip our upgraded cybercocks

Ah, right. Yeah, it's a shame that Yea Forums is retarded so it's impossible to discuss anything here.

>we haven't gotten a fully fledged game from CDPR in 5 years when Cyberpunk comes out
>we haven't gotten a decent AAA game that doesn't try to milk every single dollar out of you in forever
Like I said, we're going home.

what happens on friday

>He likes Robo-pussy
>Seduce him and ask for back-alley sex

It's just shills reusing phrases they've caught up on here to "fit in"

How is that a bad thing? The Witcher games sucked, all of them.

gameplay

why does it need 3rd person

Where is your Shazam avatar?

Being contrarian doesn't make you an interesting person.

I'm a gamer that needs to see my character's ass.

When is the demo dropping so I can move past this shit?

August 30th, 8PM CEST (11AM PT)

I miss the times when character creation meant thoughtfully allocating points to stats and skills that actually mattered during gameplay. Reading your thread's title, I immediately thought they were talking about cosmetic customization, and what a surprise. Each day the definition of an RPG gets muddier for the sake of marketing, and when they finally milk it dry by making the word entirely meaningless, they'll throw it away and forget about it, not even noticing the entire genre dying along with the word, a death through casualization and appeal to wider audience. Not that being able to customize what your character looks like is not important - in fact that's where the newer, better technology can shine, but surely we can have both customizable appearance for your character and a complex and engaging RPG system, especially considering that you can build one on top of the well-established other, which you could lift wholesale off ye games of olde.

A small solace is that they don't even call it an RPG anymore, or so I hear.

>No Shazam
Gay

>I miss the times when character creation meant thoughtfully allocating points to stats and skills that actually mattered during gameplay.
I don't. It's a painfully outdated mechanic and I'm glad it's fading away. I say that because allocating points to stats and skills at the very start of the game in the character creator is based on guesswork. You have to guess which skills and stats could be useful and which are not, which is why there's a big risk that you're putting points into things that are useless (ie dump stats). What they're doing with Cyberpunk's skills/stats/perks is much more organic.

It's not a matter of usefulness, but rather what sort of character you set out to play. And besides, what's wrong with learning how the system works and make an informed decision? Games used to come with a manual precisely to that end.
