My dad is only 50
But all he plays is call of duty
I recently got him a ps4 and a headset and all he does all day is curse out zoomers while barely breaking even in his games.
Last time I checked, his k/d was like 0.94
My dad is dead, he didn't play games.
My dad played age of empires and recently asked me how to play them again. He's on mac now though so unfortunately it seemed like a lot of work.
Trash units ruined aoe2, they should have kept OP knights.
World of Warships with his boomer friends
My parents just play Facebook games. Dad plays WW2 strategy games and mom plays farming type games.
Feels good to be part of a normal non-degenerate nuclear family as God intended.
My dad is 63 and doesn't play video games. When I was a kid though he was a master at Duck Hunt. I watched him get to level 99 when I was 3.
Yee-claw!
Everyone without shit taste would play cossacks regardless of age.
my mum used to play a lot of shooters, but these days she's retired and just plays those 'hidden item' type casual games
My dad taught me how to play Close Combat: A Bridge Too Far. I play a lot of RTS now. He only plays online poker though.
this except Tetris not Duck Hunt.
also operation wolf in arcade
My dad plays fortnight at 73. He’s not very good but he enjoys it
Yee-claw

He is like 55. He used to play HoMM3 on regular basis but few years ago he moved to some stupid Facebook games. We still occasionally play hotseat, but it's like few hours per year.
I also remember him playing HoMM2, HoMM5 and King's Bounty a lot. Plus Dune 2000 and Dino Crisis during PS1 days. Battle City was his favorite NES game.
He shamed me for cheating on vice city and didn't liked resident evil 4 much because how stupid it got. He loves the god of war saga tho
rise of nations
>Shamed for cheating in a single player game
>Also it was GTA which is known for it's fun cheats
Your dad sounds like a fag.
My dad (54) plays Heroes III and AoE II. He used to play alot of PS1 games when I was a kid, he was pretty good at Crash Team Racing and Medal of Honor. He used to play Call of Duty and Conflict: Desert Storm alot as well. Thanks to him I got into city builders, I was looking for something in his vidya and found SimCity 3000.
wasn't interested on learning the codes to make the cars fly, i just typed aspirine as soon as i was about to die
pretty sure my dad would like to play some racing or formula 1 game but I will never ask him until I have a good racing wheel and pedals/clutch setup
besides watching racing and betting on sports he likes to fish, wash his car and vacuum
hes 65
My dad is 54 and doesn't play any games. He played a lot in the Arcade in the eighties, Galaga is his favorite. For context Arcades here in germany are 18+. He got an Atari 2600 which I have now, and a Sega Master system and Wonder Boy on it. He sold the system before I could ever play it.
mine has played almost everything, he's even played and finished several Final Fantasies, Zeldas and Metal Gears even though he calls them "weird and too japanesey". He hated ff8 though and returned it when he bought it after it released, his reason was because the story was "for poofters".
my pop, who's 60, has put hundreds of hours into several total wars. his favourite is Empire and he only plays the British.
I'm a boomer and old enough to be Yea Forums's dad, and I'm a huge DOSbox shooter fan, metroidvanias and Super Metroid/Symphony, Resident Evil 1-3, CRPGs like Planescape and Fallout 1-2.
>Tfw my son doesn't play vidya
>when dad starts calling mom a faggot for a giggle
Having a Yea Forumstard for a dad had its moments
Knights shred trash in low numbers, it's really only a problem in post-imp when you can max out your population with halbs. The real threat is monks.
But with current meta it's all about the inca forward blacksmith.
Meh it seems I'm 26yr old boomer. I still play RTS, total wars, homm, platformers, crpgs. Any FPS make me bored in max 1h (only Bioshock can keep me interested for longer). My son is to young to use/v/ though.
>But with current meta it's all about the inca forward blacksmith.
I have yet to get INCA'd, but god I don't really know how people win against noboru, maybe all-in tower defense?

I remember him liking RTS games like Age of Empires and Starcraft, and he really loved MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries.
He used to play a lot of tabletop games, so he hates RPG vidya because he thinks it's dumbed down, but he did play Dungeons & Dragons Online for a few years.
He also hates most console games but absolutely adores Katamari.
He doesn't play vidya anymore. It seems like every second he isn't working or spending time with us he's watching crappy political youtube videos.
Play this with a friend quite often.
>tfw always trying to one up each other in how many units we produced over the course of a game
Timeless gem
Why are you aroused by your son not playing vidya?
my mother used to play flight simulators as a stress relief but now it seems like she's into medieval fantasy stuff like dragon's dogma as well as skyrim and oblivion
I don't know what my father likes since we haven't seen each other in 11 years
He doesn't really care about k/d.
He just likes to curse at young'uns.
Towers alone won't cut it because he can just rush them down. Or pull back, play normal, and let you waste all that stone and villager time.
I think you'd need to go incas, do the same thing he does, and just hope you're better at it than him. I really do fear he's opened up a can of worms here, and the meta is going to be nothing but inca towers until the civ gets heavily nerfed.
Half Life 1
Max Payne
Duke Nukem 3D as well a that one 2.5D spinoff
Shitty flash games on Pogo.com
>Towers alone won't cut it because he can just rush them down.
depends, if you go super fast and forgo economy to put a good amount of walled-in towers in the base entrances, it should hold. specially if you are koreans or teutons
>Or pull back, play normal, and let you waste all that stone and villager time.
problem is, the build order for doing the vill thing already puts a strain in his eco with the early blacksmith and the idle time he puts into stone and forward vills. he has at times like, 5 vills working on food+wood, it's insane. as long as you can make him pull back, you have the advantage eco wise
>I think you'd need to go incas, do the same thing he does, and just hope you're better at it than him.
yeah I heard that works, specially because if you fight at home you will have the numbers. I'm just thinking on non-mirror solutions
> I really do fear he's opened up a can of worms here, and the meta is going to be nothing but inca towers until the civ gets heavily nerfed.
dunno, it's a strat you need practice on for it to be this effective. I do think it has the potential to redefine how people see their options when they get incas on random 1v1s, but it's nowhere as cheesy as current koreans
besides, the DE leaks tell me that there's going to be other civs to worry about in the near future, if DE is actually good that is
Flatout 2
My dad loved Zelda, RDR, and Skyrim... until he passed away.
