what gave the DS such insane good games? it was a shit system compared to the PSP, and I remember as a kid feeling like it had no support. when I decided to go back and replay layton/AA though, I realized how many great games there were.

I had the luck of buying a DS lite off a kid at school with an R4 already in it. I got to play shit like time hollow and OSU 1/2 and discover the ace attorney series and shit I never would have found without piracy. The DS and 3DS has god tier shit on them just hidden away or jap only

either clockwise or counterclockwise should work, I din't think there's a difference

It was one of the most successful consoles ever, far more so than the PSP.

I'm asexual.

Wrong. Their number isn't their age retard

Not him but that doesn't matter. Brother 1 is 1 because he's the first oldest, brother 2 is 2 because he's the second oldest. The fact remains that one who's number is directly below/above can't be next to each other along with the 3 and 5 exception

Whoops, I'll post anyways.
Order or actual age, doesn't matter retard.

this one is pretty hard to look at

never heard of time hollow, thanks

always surprised by these threads and the gems I'm still finding for this weird system. too bad my lite's bottom screen is dead, R4's are so fucking cheap

Dual screen and touch screen forced devs to think a little differently, and most of them liked that challenge.
Alsothe huge casual market that ate it up got publishers thinking "we can't make traditional games" for the DS

this is correct

5?

yep

Did you read my post you colossal faggot?
>Not him but it doesn't matter

With PSP and Vita, Sony made the mistake of thinking that people want to play similar games on handhelds as they play on big screens.
Handheld audience doesn't completely overlap with home console audience.

Fuck me, I meant to reply to

There were exceptions. I remember a couple weird but charming Harvest Moon games on the PSP, for instance, while the DS had complete shit in that regard. The devs clearly wanted to translate the console HM titles, and moving to 3D only looked good on the PSP. Since these kinds of games are actually better suited to handheld, this worked great. The titles for the DS, on the other hand, were complete dogshit since they tried to make them gimmicky.

>Layton
>Great
Go play real puzzle games user, the DS has plenty of them

it's just a cute game dude don't get so butthurt
