I hate all sides of this controversy . I bought the game , played it , and had fun. I just hope this doesn't impact 3drealms in their future releases because wrath look cool.

This stupid fucking nontroversy will be largely forgotten about by the time Wrath comes out. There will be a few SJW trannies that go "ugh, this is from the same publisher as Ion Fury, don't supportt those bigots" and that's it.

Ion Fury is a good game, but some of the latest maps are bad. I used to think they were uninspired when compared to early maps, but now I'm convinced that they are just plain bad.
The big difference between the two halves of the game, in my opinion, is that the early maps are better suited to the fact that Build Engine is a piece of shit and they're polished to work well on it.
In the second part this does not seem to happen, many maps are boring, with enemies unable to even walk without getting stuck in the level geometry. You have to deal with engine jankyness more and more to do simple things and the whole experience starts to get annoying.

I find Quake's gameplay excellent and apparently Wrath will inherit it. But from the videos I've seen it doesn't seem like such an interesting game. I may be wrong, but it seems that the producers are not focusing on the shooting, as was the case with Quake 1, but on a bit more "complex" gameplay like Hexen 2 or something.
