It was ultimately fixed, but because EA decided to just cut their losses with the game the animation fixes and whatnot are frontloaded even in the final patch version.
So it's kinda even more awkward now because you have a couple of hours of underwhelming but ultimately acceptable for a Bioware game animations and then it's back to the auto-generated uncanny shit that was the entire vanilla game.
The rest of the game they just scrubbed for the really broken shit like that drinking animation and that's it. No facial touchups or anything past the game's tutorial, basically.

If by "fixed" you mean it remained largely busted, all the bad animations are still there, but they modified the ones that made it into the compilations to not being complete memes and made Jaal bi, then yes.

I was talking specifically about the drink in ear thing. Yes, the game is still largely broken, and it's pretty funny that they took the time to make one character into a potential faggot but not to fix the facial expressions in story missions past the first.
Gotta know your priorities, right?
