Didn't sale :(

I will always hate Nintendo for neglecting this franchise

Too fucking easy. On normal, the game throws healing items at you like they're going out of style. I hope the game is actually challenging on higher difficulties.

Also, the Director's Cut was never re-released on any other platform.

bump

>HUEGBOX

As some user already said, too easy and too unbalanced. Theres a reason why they scrapped range-dependant damage output for later games (including remake), but I still think this combat system had potential on its own. Tecmo's designers just not as smart as Capcom' ones unfortunately.

4th game, despite being underdeveloped shite, sold better than anything and fifth sold okay. Nintendo literally saved it from complete obscurity, and btw you've got nobody to blame but fans, yourself and Tecmo for that. Fifth game also finally refreshed the formula with clunky, but ultimately interesting gyro controls.

it was the best version

Maiden of Black Water was bad...

>t. poor sonykek who couldn't afford WiiU

I used to have a Wii U, The only game i kept is W101

First person mode was based

It's too easy which took away from the horror a lot. 1 was brutally hard so it's understandable why this one ended up as easy as it did, but 3 is a better middle ground.
It's great otherwise though. Also the remake is shit.

>any of these games
>hard

what the actual fuck am i reading

t. didn't play 1
It didn't have the infinite use low damage film and had limit healing item drops so you could end up totally running out of resources and getting stuck if you spent too much time wandering around. Plus 2 made the combat faster and easier in general.

t. didn't play 1
I have played both the xbox heug version and ps2 version. You get low rank film every time you touch the lantern to save. You can run from every single random spawn easily and there's assloads of hidden healing items. The entire game is beatable with the lowest rank film without getting hit. 2 was easier, but 1 wasn't even remotely hard.

Do these games emulate without issue on PCSX2?

Only in software mode. 2/3 play fine in hardware for the most part but 1 is unplayable.

fatal frame collection for the switch when?

More like Switch it off because ghosts are scary

that was so fucking stupid user but i actually laughed

It's not as good as the first one. Charge-based combat >>> range-based combat

But you still charge your attacks in 2.

Please help me. Just started playing it last night. Got out the old CRT and PS2, this game is scary as fuck. I stopped when I got stuck in the first house, not sure what to do. I missed my chance to photograph the dude in the back who says "stay away from me," he vanished too quickly, then I spent 30 minutes checking everything in the house and must have missed something because I'm still trapped inside.

the chapter where you run back and forth between the Kiryu and Tachibana houses or whatever is longer than every other chapter combined
