He's just really silly. His down B pulls up a list of random commands and some of them are very powerful. It's possible to top deck and randomly win the game because you happened to pull the right spell. But overall he's not amazing, he's pretty much a mid tier.

Ganon is fine now though. Many of his moves are still somewhat based on caps, visually. But functionally they're all completely different. Plus his smash attacks are all original now.

Dark Pit could be removed in the sense that he could just be turned into a skin. Echo fighter as a distinction honestly makes no fucking sense when they range from characters like him (almost literally a recolour with its own place on the character select) to characters like Ken (enough differences from the fighter he's based on to be considered a semi-clone).

Ken only has the echo fighter brand because of the legacy of him being one of the first clone characters. There's literally less in common between him and Ryu than Isabelle and Villager.
