They aren't too hard but most of the zero and ZX games don't like giving you checkpoints

They're score based games. Just getting through them without any regards to your rank is pretty easy. S Ranking the entire game without ever using any of the power ups (which is required to unlock everything), much, much more difficult. But also super fun.

I saw that anniversary collection, X collection etc. existed on PS2.
Saw that the DMC HD collection bundled 3 PS2 games the generation after.

In my youthful naivety I thought we'd get something like a Megaman Super Collection by this gen. That included the Classic, X, Zero and ZX games in one bundle.

Its neat we've now gotten most of the classic timeline (barring spin offs) in the legacy collections though.
I hope we'll one day get all the spin offs included too.

More like a combination of the disposition Light wanted, having true free will, and the circumstances he lived through. X doubts himself constantly in his games and makes for a poor judge of character often, and even after the rewrite he was still a big part of Neo Arcadia's current state. The idea that he would be misled and blind to the faults of a system he sees as the solution to his problems is perfectly reasonable, and Zero and X have had no problem fighting over ideology before.

pondering about whether all of this would fit onto one cart this time around, I looked at my Zero Collection and ZX / ZXA rom sizes as a whole and it's like 191MB. Mega Man X6 by itself is 576MB and it's the smallest size of the three PS1 games. Jesus Christ, I get that they're handheld titles, but this is accounting for uniform DS cart sizes being "filled" even if they're empty, so they could be smaller.

And that's if the collection's using the Zero Collection versions. Zero 4 is like 19-20MB on its original GBA version, and the other three games clock in at under 10MB each.

Fun fact: most of Z4 plot is literally filler. They originally planned for you to go too Ragnarok in Z3 after Omega to fight Wiel but decided to get another game out of it. Also why the finale is the best part of Z4.

If Capcom is planning to release collections for each series, this new collection for Zero and ZX leaves only Legends left for the robot timeline. They might want to stick to the Robot action/platformer timeline and finish it completely before moving onto the Internet RPG/Strategy gameplay timeline of BN and SF to keep the continuity lined up with releases. Either way, I’m really glad the ZX games get some new spotlight since they were the shortest series so far, and really hope this gives Capcom incentive to make another or just finish the ZX series with a new game (though X would probably get one first, no complaints here).

The world 'ends', humanity gradually dies out in utopia until nothing remains, and the machines left to overwatch the world are abandoned as artificial humans repopulate what's left. Presumably Master Thomas succeeded in resetting the world, or something happened after his efforts. But this is all considering if Legends ultimately is still in the timeline or not.

the save assist already solves the difficulty problem. besides the low drop rates of regen items the distance between save room are huge and it will lead to BS.
if anything changing the map layout would the best choice to do the collection. the paths make no fucking sense.
