Is there a ps1 emulator for android? I just want to replay legend of dragoon.

ePSXe

That emulator is a curse. We should just delete it from existence so someone would start from scratch.

Are there any alternatives? I emulate because I don't want to pay $60 for a game the devs won't even get the money from

FE Path of Radiance

Drakengard but it's super blurry. PCSX2 isn't as good as RPCS3 and Dolphin in the upscaling
What's a good AMD CPU for emulation? Building a new rig soon and /g/ is no help

No, not that I know of. You are unironically better off playing some PS2 games' remakes on the PS3 emulator than this pile of shit.

If the PS3 can emulate PS2 then that'll seal my getting one. I've been tossing it up for a while

BOTW

>AMD CPU for emulation
It's called Intel + nVidia, not even kidding.

>Waaaaaah I can't emulate Incredibly Niche JRPG #347 without minor graphical glitches! This emulator is WORTHLESS!

Who said that? What are you talking about?

The older models have some built-in hardware emulator or ASIC or something, and they can play PS2 games, but you need to do research because there must be a lot of fuckery to the story.

Anons, help me out.
Have a wierd issue with PCSX2. In most games, whenever I look at the sky or a long a long distance of nothing, i get heavy fps drops.
Been playing FF7 Dirge of Cerberus and it runs mostly fine, no matter how much shit is happening, but once I look up the fps goes down to 40, even though there isn't anything. Is there a way to fix this shit?

Litterally everything i ever liked.
>4tb games SSD
>Launchbox has 1547 titles

ni no kuni 1, my old cpu can't handle towns
feelsbadman
demon souls worked mostly fine and I finished it

Does it still do it in software mode?
It could also be a problem with the actual game

nice waste of SSD storage

Currently playing Tales of Xillia 2 on RPCS3.

Any ryzen starting from the 1600 and up.

Unless you get a backwards compatible fat then PCSX2 is the better option. I have a cfw slim and it worked fine for a bunch of games but most of them played with lower framerate than an actual PS2. PCSX2 isn't as bad as people make it to be.

Not touching Intelaviv yearly socket change bullshit

This guy

When did he mention JRPGs?

Isn't it being remasterd for pc? Just wait a bit.

Have they finally fixed their lazy eyes?

noice, missed the news

Can Fatal Frame run perfect on PCSX2 yet?

That's not the point

PCSX2 is dogshit. That's why I got a real PS2 with component cables.

>Currently playing Tales of Xillia 2 on RPCS3.
How does it run? I never finished it and my PS3 likes to turn into a jet engine a few minutes into any game.

You claim he was making a petty complaint about a niche JRPG, yet he didn't mention JRPGs at all in the posts you yourself quoted

I just wanted to play Ratcher and Clank. I spent hours tweaking the settings like a fucking snake charmer, but it didn't work properly. The game dropped some frames every 5-10 seconds, and there was a fuckton of input lag due to muh windowed windows bullshit.

PCSX2 is probably the best emu out there

Just a reminder to STOP using the 2016 build and upgrade to the dev build.
buildbot.orphis.net/pcsx2/

It even runs DOA 2 with sound effects.

Do all the tracks run well for you? My Dolphin stumbles at the 3rd track of the first cup.

Pretty fun but I've been working on figuring how to put in custom songs

First time playing Mana Khemia. Next is either Mana Khemia 2, twilight princess, or Ar nosurge

I guarantee you think there's a Cuphead controversy given the way you disregard proof

All tracks in the first three cups run well for me, haven't unlocked the forth yet

yes

Attached: gsdx_20190827031644.jpg (3840x2160, 739K)

It's running fine. I get some massive frame drops in that alley in Duval but other than that the game plays at a locked 30fps(you have to limit it or the game crashes) the entire time. I did the wrong thing of updating to the latest build and it started crashing so I reverted back to the 8576 build.

The game might not be fully playable though, according to the rpcs3 forum the game crashes on chapter 14 or something but at tht point if the game crashes for me I'll just play through that chapter on the PS3 and try to go back to PC after that. Though I also read on the forum someone managed to finish it so I'm not sure.

What's that Tenchu game? Looks cool

I don't even know wtf you're talking about
It's just the way people argue here, you take someone's point of view and make assumptions and exaggerate for the sake of making inflammatory replies
Get uses to it or leave

Ratchet and Clank is one of the most difficult games to emulate properly from PS2

it works completely fine now

nice

Dream C Club GoGo. It's surprisingly fun.

It sure as hell doesn't for me with all the slowdowns

Just tested.
In software mode I can't even reach 60 fps no matter what, but looking to the sky doesn't seem to affect performance.
It's not only this game, it happened with others to (but I can't remember which ones).
My guess is either depth calculation on PCSX2 is fucked or it has something with alpha-trasparencies being to heavy.

How is yuzu these days?

Yakuza and God Hand, though I can't get the hang of GH and it doesn't feel fun to me, I'm not sure why I love beat em ups

That's not an emulator issue, it's a hardware issue

your cpu is probably 5+ years old and not up to scratch, or you may be one of those tards who uses the dated "stable" build instead of the far far superior dev builds.

either your pc is shit or you're dumb because i can play it without an issue.

First time I'm using Pcsx2 in earnest, decided to play the first Raidou Kuzunoha game. I still feel like I might be missing a game or two that might be worth getting despite having around 250 PS2 games alone on Launchbox.

actually checking this out now that PS3 emulation is a thing.

Is it fully playable? Is there a compatibility wiki somewhere?

Love seeing these comments all over the internet, werks on my machine eh :^)

But seriously, if my CPU isn't enough for this piece of shit to run properly, then I don't know why anybody would bother, really.

Is there a point where it struggles the keep up? For instance psp emulation?

yes

That's not Steambot Chronicles or Dark Cloud 2

I've only just started testing it, only with Super Turbo right now.

based
It's not en emulator technically, it's argument fodder for neckbeards.

Nothing will beat the cell 3.0 FOR years.

any issues emulating dmc1 and 3?

Yes, they're awful games

hahahaha

The next time those nerdy faggots make another Linux thread on my watch, I'll just redirect them here so that they could talk about their emulated windows games where they belong.

Yeah I just noticed. Persona 4's spin-offs are listed in the wiki, but not P5.

But is it playable? Will I get a better experience than finishing it on console?

sham megumine tentsgay, dokidoki saga
I'm a fan of persona and smt is basically like darksouls persona so I figured I'd play it.

Can you ironic zoomer faggots fuck off?

No please don't

Stop being poor while stealing haha

I'll be doing my annual SMT marathons, so will be replaying Nocturne/DDS1&2 soon.
Aside from that
- Fatal Frame 2
- THPS3
- Xmen Next Dimensions
- Dragon's Quest VIII
- Onimusha 2&3
- Shadow of Rome

PCSX2 1.5 is awesome btw, was surprised they finally fixed all the major SH2/3 glitches.

>Fatal Frame 2
So these games work on the latest PCSX2?

>he needs to waste money to feel good
God bless

Is there a reason you're emulating Tony Hawk instead of playing the PC version?

I didn't think this would have as much 3d as it does. Pretty surprised how well my phone is handling it. Finished chapter 1 and it's pretty good so far.

Attached: Screenshot_20190824-202223.png (1280x720, 288K)

valkyria chronicles 2 and since it was so tedious I had to start with shin megami tensei IV

i love these jojo ripoff characters too

Grandia Xtreme
Jade Cocoon 2

Pure cuckoldry at its best.

then you're too dumb to use the software because that is comfortably enough to run shit. get fucked.

No it's the way idiot gamergaters "argue" because they hate having to actually think

VC2 love that game but fuck the post game, 180 hours in and still grinding for all the weapons probably gonna finish at 200+

I finished Demon's Souls with the 60 FPS patch last night. Was a neat experience even though for some reason the fallen heart in Latria and the dead Storm Beasts in the second level of the Shrine of Storms don't render. Don't know what causes it, but it made that small area of Latria a fucking whole lot scarier.

New to FF and I picked up the PS4 version of this game, is there a difference between it and the PS2?

Is there a list for the best emulator for each console? Looking at the thread, things aren't as easy as getting the latest stable build anymore.

Mostly interested in PS2, PS3 and N64.

EDIT: found it myself: emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/Main_Page

You found it. Good list.

Your version looks worse and is easier because of dual jobs.

PS4 lets you change jobs if you don't like it IIRC which is godsend plust your party members can have secondary jobs, probably makes it easier than it already is but whatever, now you can play with your favorite characters while one act as healer.
My only gripe with this port is the requirements, holy shit that's what I call awful job at porting a game which is why I can't play it and have to rely on IZJS.

Attached: 1426444635846.gif (326x244, 1.92M)

Was planning on emulating Suikoden V
Is it any good or a waste of time?

Literally pcsx2 is your only option
Project 64 1.6 for 90% of the library, mugen64 for the small handful of games that don't work on p64
I don't know about ps3

I'm emulating Drakengard as well.

>it's super blurry
Just turn up the internal resolution. Looks fine to me.

>All these Drakenchads

Attached: Too_Late_Nintendo_2.webm (960x540, 2.59M)

But Drakengard came out on PC WTF

Games that were 480i will always be slightly blurry. The best you can do is bump up the internal resolution and deal with it.

?

It's baffling that xillia/xillia 2 is still in in game list for compatibility. It easily run with no glitch and crash after setting up up the custom config. Meanwhile graces f had tons of graphics glitches and fps fluctuating randomly, but listed as playable.

I found nearest neighbor + wave filter to look pretty good for sprites.

what's the name of this? shit looks dope

does this shit still require per game setups with various hacks, or are they integrated into the emulator and it knows what to do now?

Did I miss anything of note?

>emulating GTA;SA
lmao

Attached: surrounded by junk.jpg (785x590, 176K)

My bad. Mistook it for Drakan.

You can climb to the secret garden and get up here. The trick is to diagonally jump up the foliage because it has the least amount of stamina cost.
It's on the northeast side of the big castle ritual thing.

What secret garden? I played this game like 3 times and have no idea about a garden

if you can buy it legally you still should. Right owners already paid the devs and they deserve some success for their good investment. It also shows interest in the series to them, unlike pirating.

Anyone else tried emulating Zeonic Front? For some reason the Zaku models are invisible but everything else is fine. Any settings might help or is it just a bad rip?

right now? Shante on gbc
got a 8bitdo sn30pro+ and decided to power though the shante games, granted im takeing my time with it.

god, old games without a wide field of view feel like crap to play
really not looking forward to some of the games I plan to play due to this.

what's the best sound plugin for pcsx?

kirby's adventure
maybe also yakuza 1

What do the batch files do?

GODHAND
and okami

Launch Mednafen probably.

Out of the PSX library kek? Tons and tons of games.

Theres a secret garden at the top of the castle ritual thing with fruit that lowers your health, its used to make the game harder.
I got up there at the 15th colossus. all the red arrows are climbing. Where you'll need to use the diagonal jumping and falling to conserve stamina.

SNES, Chrono Trigger. NDS emulation on PC fucking sucks which is the only reason why I haven't played Strange Journey yet.

i actually don t know if my next emulation game will be xeno chronicles or star ocean till the end of time.

opinions Yea Forums?

>always wanted to play Okami
>didn't own a PS2
>gets re released
>never for PC so I forget about it
>it's 2017 and I finally decide to emulate it
>have a blast
>gets released for PC finally
Fuck it, at least I saw the original credits
Yesterday I booted it on Dolphin, looks so fucking sweet and the motion controls are great

Godhand, it's a hell of a time, challenging yet fun and it doesnt get frustrating and I probably should've looked up the controls before playing because I keep on finding out about new moves like being able to do a low tripping kick by doing dodge+triangle or forward+triangle at downed enemies for charged kicks etc

Attached: MASHTOSPANK.png (1920x999, 1.85M)

Wow that game looks awesome

How big of an HDD would I need to download all of the PCSX2 library and maybe the RPCS3 library?

give up

Yeah I like it, found out about it because of the soundtrack.
Runs like crap on my laptop so I have to play it in 640x480.

USA PS2 is ~2.6TB I believe. PS3? Don't even ask.

>when it took me hours to beat that fight

Post plugins and version I still can't get this shit to work

Attached: 1566852438419.jpg (372x334, 72K)

what program is this? Looks really good

get the latest version, I only enabled MTVU.

I'm going through Fire Emblem: The Blazing Sword again. Made me appreciatr Hector for being willing to just kill all the black fang chumps without much fuss.

The keyword was "niche", adding a genre after that was to add to the hyperbole.

>waaahh I can't play this specific game without minor graphical glitches, this emulator is worthless
He's quoting how he assumes the posters reacted before closing the application and then shitting on it every opportunity they get.

But in the quoted posts the guy never mentioned JRPGs or minor issues or anything niche

But they are shitting on the application, he's just posting how they reacted before those posts.

Yep, its fucking great, at the start of the game I was a coward and by the end of the game you develop a hyperactive fighting style so slick it'll make you drool

i started out safe using fast jabs. now im all about the stylish flurry of kicks.

Colosseum. It's still pretty great and much better than the mainline shit.

BTW on the roulette table the number the ball drops into is chosen right after the ball starts.

I had a combo of two quick multipunches, then quick kicks, repeat.
I still get my ass handed to me in hard mode

Is there a way to do this for pcsx2?

that's not bionicle

>that fucking difficulty curve
Shit was fucking crazy, went from dominating to getting dominated.
Also there was a glitch on gamecube where if you held your gamecube analog stick down, then unplugged the controller, and replugged it in. You could get shadow pokemon to become normal. On the far left ledge of that forest village. I remember leaving my cube on for hours just to do that. Then send them to ruby. Comfy.

Dragon Quest, I say IX but that leads into a whole debate.

Why couldn't they just make an open world mega man correctly?

>Alternating between shit and piss to wash the taste of garbage out of your mouth
I guess that's something?

Despised the upside down castle, it felt really tedious going all over the castle looking for where to head next. I didn't mind travelling when I got the different animal forms though and the music was awesome, but overall I was more annoyed by Symphony

emulate

Just started this yesterday, and I've been really enjoying it, but I'm also kinda sad that literally no one talks about this game because 3/4/5 totally overshadowed the first two games.
Also I feel bad for any poor bastards who played this legitimately on their PSP, because I probably wouldn't be able to take it seriously at all if that music mod didn't exist to replace the PSP ost with the PS1 ost. This game is practically a horror game in terms of its setting, since its essentially the zombie apocalypse, but with all manners of demons instead of only zombies, and the PS1 ost really fits that, I love how creepy and unsettling some tracks can be, but the PSP ost absolutely ruins it by turning everything into J-pop music, its absolutely disgusting to think about.

yeah you go into the purify town
go to a specific corner and hold up
then unplug the controller,

i'm playing fear effect 2 on my phone game is great and would be impossible these days

Got demon Souls on the PS3 emulator. Kinda works fine, but also a bit jagged.

Thing is, I have it on the PS3 too and am not sure if I should even be arsed. Can someone confirm that the PS3 emu version can be finished without major issues?

Anyone else do this shit?

This game is awesome.

youtube.com/watch?v=co5FPWe3soE&t

The only issue is that you need a very good rig to play the game with an acceptable framerate. If you can get past that, it's perfectly fine

It's pretty much impossible to not end up overleveled in the PS2 version unless you run away from every fight.

The opposite
>Get stuck on tough boss in some game
>Guide recommends my level to be about 15 levels higher than what it usually is

>He doesn't like grandia 3
Understandable
>He doesn't like Grandia Xtreme
Ah, Blinded by faggotry it seems.

Okay good i thought i was just over grinding
That was smt nocturne at the start for me.

Why doea this game look like such a ripoff of FFXII

>Core i7 9700k
>GTX1080ti

>Gamecube/Wii freezes every time something new occurs (special moves or general attacks in Smash or Tatsunoko)

Can hit the 30 fps no prob and I don't really want to use the 60 patch as I am afraid it might cause issues.

I have this whole Shader indexing or whatever it's called, but only beat the starter boss so far.

it doesn't need to be a very good rig, just fairly good. very good rigs can run it at 60fps 90% of the time

I keep hearing about this game, what makes it good?
>Doesn't work
Retard

Soul Reaver

I've emulated PS2, PS3 and Wii on toasters man, no excuse.

Trying to get Ratchet: Deadlocked to run but the CPU requirements Hertz too much

Playable only means you can play it from start to finish. Maybe Xillia 2 crashes at a certain point and you can't complete the game. I'm not that far yet but time will tell. It's probably playable.

Attached: screenshot-2019_08_27_10_24_36.jpg (3840x2160, 1.09M)

How did fuck did you come up to try that out?

I finished with the Ps2 years ago last I played on an emulator was Bayonetta 2 but can't find anything else on the wiiu that's my stile

Why is the "playable" thing so retarded?
Playable should mean playable from start to end with no issues

Now there must be something wrong with your setup, perhaps you have some software shitting up your system.
>PS2 emulation doesn't work
It doesn't work _properly_ on anything, not a hardware problem

Have fun editing videos with your AMD setup when they release the New Nintendo Switch 2D Plus XLi Lite 1-Chip Plus (New Edition) emulator that actually works but only on one of the 2 CPU and one of the GPU brands. I'll let you guess which one that'll be.

>The common denominator

nonlinear, open-ended everything, be it story, skills, characters and so on. every character has a main mission but you're free to tackle it however you want. the writing is great and so is the art and music, it can also be hard as balls. being a SaGa game it's honestly unlike any other JRPG

pretty good game

Attached: persona 4.jpg (900x1272, 491K)

>Playable should mean playable from start to end with no issues
Then no game will ever be considered playable under emulation.

Attached: 42 (1).jpg (3013x4193, 2.44M)

You know what I mean.

Hello persona 1 bro. youtu.be/7hbCKn2_6HY

Nothing, I can't find a ROM of Ocarina of time because I'm a retard

I fully accept blame, but if all dolphin games freeze every 5 seconds, I'm kinda confused as to why. Maybe I didn't overclock hard enough? Or an outdated version of dolphin?
It doesn't.
>Jade Cocoon 2 at 1fps
>Skygunner at 5
>Beatmania at 10
R-Type Final is the only game thus far that actually fucking does what it's supposed to and I'm happy for that.

then games on actual hardware wouldn't be playable either

Any chance for emulating The Golden?

the first Persona is also my favorite in the series but I feel you, the only reason the retarded fucks on this shithole bring this game up is to shit on it

Oh, good, you understand quoting
Did you want to try saying something of substance next?

You can't be serious user
Are you using an i2 with a GTX 001?

This. But with my hand and penis and pics random chicks I went to HS with twelve years ago...I should just neck myself.

>>Skygunner at 5
Even the game in 480i mode didn't run that poorly on PS2. It's a 60fps game in alternate processing mode. Emulation will always be inferior.

Actually I dont. The question is, where do you draw the line on "no issues". Like says, even on actual hardware games still have issues.

Attached: 20.jpg (5120x2880, 3.14M)

Still havent found a comfy button layout, but the note10 is nice.

Attached: SmartSelect_20190826-201046_DraStic.jpg (1072x2051, 1.1M)

So it's pointless to emulate that game in particular? Noted..

Playable should mean you can get from the start of the game to the end credits with only controller inputs

wowroms.com/en/roms/nintendo-64/the-legend-of-zelda-ocarina-of-time-usa/24623.html

You'll find most PS2 games outside of meme games (persona 3, ace combat (software only lol), ratchet (software only lol)), and some really low end early titles like dark cloud work at all. The emulator is awful, dolphin is a little better but only because there's more meme games on gamecube, play anything remotely obscure? Even first party? LOL

I want to emulate and play PS3 games but I'm too lazy to go through the installations and configurations hell.

Is
>I-Ninja
A meme game?

It's playable. The whole reason it got removed is that they were advertising it was playable and ATLUS got butt hurt about it. The funny thing is ATLUS has no legal standing whatsoever but it's still easier to just avoid court costs all together.

Just type the game name and RPCS3 into youtube and sort by date to find a video of someone playing it to get you an idea of how it works today.

depends how demanding it is on the hardware, it's argonaut so it might be.

nah, the weeb machine doesn't have a decent enough emulator, it's a shame

Here's all the n64 zeldas. You might want to use a different emulator, as I had to dive into "the archive". I've got a full rom-set somewhere as well, but it's got 40 different versions of each rom.
ufile.io/jq6n9tcc

VC2 is garbage. So is 3 but the story is more interesting. I can't play on those tiny ass maps.

Initial D psp. Trying to get near map records.

>I'm a zoomer: The Post

Nothing because my controller is broken.

emulation is the zoomer solution. Real hardware is the only real way to play games.

Emulation is for low class people who don't like videogames.

>Hey man lets play PS2.
>Where are we going.
>To my computer, of course.

>Bro just pay hundreds of dollars because otherwise you'll be called a zoomer online

>Breath of Fire IV but not III

I'm not even going to take the time to go through your list for you.

>a ps2
>hundreds of dollars
this is how I know you're underage. Probably don't even know what OPL is.

I heard that was pretty dull

When did I say a PS2 was hundreds of dollars? You're projecting extremely hard

you're fucking retarded m8

>emulation is the zoomer solution
I remember playing NES through Nesticle on DOS.

It really only sucks because it uses only a single core and is highly unoptimized. I was fucking chugging on the world map for any DQ game until I turned down the upscale to only 2x on a 4.5 ghz i7 6600k.

I've literally played Dokapon Kingsom on PCSX2, I'll never understand how people can fuck up so badly that they have trouble emulating even niche PS2 games
Only game I've ever had any trouble emulating is Steambot Chronicles and even that is playable with workarounds, and has great framerate.

I remember when I bought a freemcboot disk for my PS2 when I was 13-14 and it didn't work. I was devastated.

>Bro just pay hundreds of dollars because otherwise you'll be called a zoomer online
>hundreds of dollars
>a ps2
lol

Same, I remember realizing how awful it was and saw no future in it. I was right.

I'm not the one that thinks a $30 console is $300.

Have you got Last Raven working without issues?

Yeah, hundreds of dollars, that sounds right. $50 for the console, $50 for the hard drive. $20 for the SATA adapter. There might be an added cost in there somewhere like an upscaler (the Retrotink works great for $100 and is what I use).

So we'll say for $220 you have access to the entirety of the PS2 library without any emulation errors. If you really like PS2 that much is that not worth it? The cost of 4 modern games?

Attached: Retrotink 2x.jpg (700x490, 93K)

Because a lot of retards want to be spoonfed. They haven't experienced the time when PS1 emu was so shit that literally need a specific workaroundsfor your specific PC just to get them to work.

But again, when did I say a PS2 is hundreds of dollars? If physical games are so cheap surely you wouldn't mind buying me Saidaioujou

You must really like that game. It was good but by the end, I was dying for it to be finished. I couldn't even begin to think about post game.

On the other hand, DQIX is pissing me off with its garbage quests. It gives you shit you can't complete way before you'll be able to complete it and then limits how many you can take on at once.

Fucking bullshit.

Ridge Racer 4

>It works
Thanks bro, I appreciate the help

>>Bro just pay hundreds of dollars because otherwise you'll be called a zoomer online
imagine thinking you're spending hundreds of dollars on a ps2, I think even NIB ones are cheaper than that.

Not in particular, but I have had good experience with other From games

Again, when did I ever say hundreds on a PS2?

Right now I’m emulating persona 4. Sucks that the vita scene emulation is nonexistent, would’ve liked to play 4G

Yeah, the cutscenes has frequent slowdowns. The gameplay runs exactly like on PS2 tho.

>I remember realizing how awful it was and saw no future in it
Lol, what a faggot. I played games with my friends, and we had a blast.
Guess it's easy to see no future, when you have no friends.

Bro nobody buys physical games lmao they all load isos on their actual PS2 from their hard drive or network. I have 200 on my my console.

Have you checked /pcbg/ on /g/? It's got all the advice you need. The r5 3600 would probably be your best bet, it's the best all-around CPU and isn't retardedly expensive. Get an nvidia card if you want to use windows though, a lot of emulators use OpenGL and amd's OpenGL drivers are notoriously terrible.

>Goalpost moving
There it is

Looks way too dark, hope that's your preference and not the emulator's fault. And when you wrote 30fps, does it include battles? Because those were 60.

>>Bro just pay hundreds of dollars because otherwise you'll be called a zoomer online
lol hundreds of dollars

At the time we were busy playing tekken 3 and virtua cop 2, NES was something that sat around in a box in the closet. On the PC? So poorly? Nah, not even worth acknowledging. Imagine crowding around a keyboard on a tiny 17 inch crt at a desk.

>Saidaioujou doesn't cost hundreds
Oh I must've missed the printing run they did

What goalpost? Emulation is trash, games run best on original hardware. Thats it.

Its true. I don't give a shit how you get the games (ESR patcher, OPL, real copies). I just want you personally to experience the games the best they can be.

>Reddit spacing
>Goalpost moving
Go shitpost somewhere else

I'd say dolphin or ppsspp. Both are very polished and everything mostly works without any extensive configuration.

Dragon Quest 1 and 2 on the SNES with translation patch.
Thank fucking christ for fast forward

Explain how I moved the goalpost.

>Saidaioujou doesn't cost hundreds
OPL is free

the section of text quoted should have been enough for your tiny brain to realize your error

been playing Metroid Prime for the first time.

The fact you think Saidaioujou is a PS2 game proves you have no idea what you're talking about
Here's the last (You)

cope

>games run best on original hardware
Original hardware doesn't allow me to upscale the resolution, add anti-aliasing, or adjust shaders

For Dolphin
>get developer build
>make sure it is in a good location and not loose in C:\ drive
Graphics:
>direct3d12
>your nvidia gpu
>force 16:9 if want
>v sync
>uber shaders synchronus
Do not try to push it past 4k, no matter how well the machine the games don't like it. Other than that look up Bbsod for more configurations to emulators if need. But this should work, if it doesn't then you are doing something very wrong with computers.

Great opinion

Xenosaga with an undub patch. Kind of a bitch to find, but I was able to get it working after an hour of googling.

Clearly it wasn't so why don't you spell it out for me, if you're so correct, Mr. Galaxy Brain?

Of course the first question I ask if a friend says we're playing PS2 is "where" and not "what", definitely

>discussion of ps2 games
>talking about 360 ones
point still stands, back up loading is free.

inferior

It's useless to argue with autists. Even if someone were to perfecty emulate the hardware itself in the fucking Matrix a hundred years from now, this nigger would find some excuse to be a hipster faggot.

And why would you do that? I thought you wanted to play PS2?

He wants to play it with hideous 2D elements, inferior performance and emulation bugs.

This is the best game ever made.

Attached: the dog.jpg (354x500, 35K)

How is Dolphin so good and constantly improving while PCSX2 is stagnant and takes years for tiny incremental improvements?
Yes, at least ten, probably closer to twenty.

No game is perfect, and all games are limited by their hardware. It's still a PS2 game even if I use more modern hardware to get a crisper image.

>Looks way too dark, hope that's your preference and not the emulator's fault.
Well I didn't mess with brightness settings or anything and that's supposed to be a dark forest.
>And when you wrote 30fps, does it include battles? Because those were 60.
The game runs at twice the speed at 60fps so you have to lock to 30fps even in battles.

>The game runs at twice the speed at 60fps so you have to lock to 30fps even in battles.
Then its gonna be a hard nope for me mate. Glad you're enjoying it but I'd never be able to, especially after seeing how battles actually look on the OG hardware.

The games were designed to be played on a Playstation 2 and they run best there. Emulation of PS2 always has bugs, however minor. Usually sounds and shadows. I see the same fucking bugs everytime some tryhard decides to emulate Silent Hill 2 instead of using the actual fixed PC version for some reason.

I'll stick with my PS2.

Such is your prerogative. I'll be having way more fun, though.

His next line will be:Artificial fun!

Attached: your_next_line.jpg (676x491, 101K)

how about you stay an angry baby?
just think logically about what you said

This. Never settle for inferior emulation.

Attached: better than original hardware.jpg (1043x1043, 436K)

Just finished Xenogears and gonna emulate Silent Hill 1 since it's the only Team Silent one I haven't completed yet, except for 4 but fuck that game.
Hopefully I'll start it tonight

So you realized you had no point? I accept your admission of fault

>Muh real hardware
>Muh OPL
>OPL hasn't got %100 compatibility
>Freemcboot is prone to specific console autism
>Doesn't work on every model

anytime

>Yotsuba poster shared the solution to get custom Vib Ribbon songs
Can a man be any more based

If this happened to you I am sorry. I have had nothing but 100 perfect compatibility with OPL. The memory card works on my US fat and slim models and my Japanese fat (i imported before all this cool tech). When you create the FMCB card you can choose your region settings.

Can you list some games not compatible with OPL so I know what to watch out for?

But nothing I've ran on PCSX2 is 100% accurate. Some can get pretty close but its not the same as a real console.

I played Xillia 1 on the PS3 and I can hardly tell the difference when it comes to framerate other than that on rpcs3 I don't get frame drops. Also the games have terrible jaggies and is really blurried at 720p, playing at 4k makes a huge difference for me.

for reference here's the game at 720p.

Attached: screenshot-2019_08_27_13_37_06.png (1280x720, 1.37M)

Been wanting to play this as well. Any setup tips?

and here's 4k

Attached: screenshot-2019_08_27_13_34_53.jpg (3840x2160, 1.92M)

>i can tell if there's framedrops
>but i cant tell the difference between 30 and 60fps
i dont understand user, how do you function?

Very based. Both mk games are really good, some of the best campy jrpgs imo

Has PCSX2 gotten as easy as Dolphin to work? I remember having to fiddle with so many different plugins and configs to get various PS2 games working whereas with Dolphin it JUST WORKS.

That being said, I'm emulating some GC Animal Crossing. Shit is comfy.

What do you not understand? It's very easy to tell when a 30fps game drops frames, it's hard to tell the difference between constant 30fps and 60fps when there's hardly anything going on the screen other than flashing lights.

Except for a few niche autism games all you need is to just load the iso in PCSX2

Oh sweet! I haven't tried PS2 emulation in a few years, so that's awesome!

Just remember to get the dev builds and not the stable one

Alright, thanks. I assume the stable one is just out-of-date?

Unfortunately if you only want to play really obvious games you won't get some of the best games working on the emulator. Hey at least you can play games you've already played dozens of times before though. Just nothing new.

Out of date by years

This blurriness with upscaled ps2 is so annoying, especially since there's no one fits all fix.

The second run through every level of the game really wore me out and I think I left it at a boss fight. Cool game but really tedious

Yikes. I guess development has slowed.

That's fine, I don't mind eventually buying the really weird game. I'd love to play some Gregory Horror Show or Rule of Rose at some point.

And the games I have nostalgia for, that I would normally just boot up on a legit copy, I'll just stream and share with others.

>it's hard to tell the difference between constant 30fps and 60fps when there's hardly anything going on the screen other than flashing lights.
No its not. Its a very distinct difference. Entire pages of youtube videos with a simple search exist to show you this difference.

Again, how the hell do you function. How do you seriously not see a difference between 30 and 60fps.

>Buy Rule of Rose
Based moneybags

Stay salty, autist

Attached: PCSX2 Compatibility.jpg (227x414, 22K)

It's all about prioritizing what you want. Anyone can be a moneyfag if they just save up.

>emulate Silent Hill 2
You have to be a pretty big retard to do this in the first place when there's a PC version available

Midnight Club 3. Still the most fun arcade racer with the best maps. I hope LA will be playable soon on RPCS3.

Stay cucked while playing your western games.

I dropped it. I couldn't believe how shitty it was after all the praise. Music was good though.

Playable means gets to the first section where input is accepted. The compatibility lists are grossly overrated. Especially because it considers Skygunner playable - is the benchmark for playable 5FPS?

Are we talking about the same game? You know, tales of Xillia 1 and 2 where battles last for 5 seconds on average?
>Entire pages of youtube videos with a simple search exist to show you this differece.
Yeah, you have to look up a video comparing the two to see the difference.

Unlock more moves and play around with the combo system and you'll eventually find something that sticks for you.

That reminds me, it's about time for me to do my yearly playthrough of GH.

YuGiOh Duelists of the Roses

Press F9.

The PenisAss2 group is very liberal with their definition of playable.

Curious as to what that 0.46% is that's perfect, because I've never had a game run perfect.

>i-its fine because 5sec battles!
Really now user? That's your argument for not being able to tell the difference?
>you have to look up a video comparing the two to see the difference
I meant for reference but from the previous sentence, you really can't tell afterall. What a blissfully ignorant life you must live. More power to you I guess.

It's a new favorite

Imagine having such a hateboner for a program that lets more people play the games you already love

>Expecting mature reasonable discussion from someone who uses the phrase "PenisAss2"

Works for me. Perhaps you're just bad at computers?

Has anyone been able to successfully emulate pic related?

I've been trying to no avail.
Also please tell me plugins/any other settings to tweak as I'm a bit of a retard

Attached: Driver_-_Parallel_Lines_Coverart.jpg (256x314, 26K)

This was my experience emulating DQVIII. I might revisit it one day if I'm really really bored but I'm not interested in DQ if this is supposed to be one of the better entries.

I love the Playstaton 2 games as they are on Playstation 2. Not so much with fart sounds and fucked up skyboxes.

Is there a good archiving service for manuals and old strategy guides? Just bought the Timesplitters 1 manual and prima guides for the trilogy. There's a distinct lack of pdfs and maps of those online.

DQ is a meme series only liked by people with 0 taste

Typically takes a second playthrough of stamina, unless you're good at climbing.

Which version? Been wanting to play that again, but Xbox emulation isn't quite there yet.

>i-its fine because 5sec battles!
No user, that's a strawman. Let me correct that for you. I didn't say it's fine, I said I can't tell the difference between a 5 seconds video running at 30 or 60fps nor do I care. You seem very pedantic about this in particular, you said
>a hard nope for me mate
>especially after seeing how battles actually look on the OG hardware
the battles hardly last for more than 5 seconds on average, bosses can last up to 20 or 30 seconds max, it's hardly noticeable, not to mention it's 60fps at 720p so everything is blurried.

I'm enjoying the game on RPCS3 very well, I actually downloaded it to play on the PS3 because I didn't expect it to run so well on the emulator seeing it's listed as ingame only but after I tried it I can't really bring myself to play this on a PS3 anymore, unless I get hard locked in a chapter or something then I'll just transfer my save and play on the PS3 but so far the game looks beautiful and plays very smoothly on the emulator.

You should definitely look up the controls in-game, you can set all of your combos and individual moves and really you'd be missing out on a LOT of the game if you're just sticking to the basic attacks.

Yeah, what kind of consolefag cuck nigger uses phrases like "penisass2." Why do you have to be so immature to not use the correct name for it? Go back to your snoy garbage and defend censorshit some more. Immature brats.

>consoletards are still too dumb while in their 30s to pirate or be able to use an emulator to play games at 4k with enhanced texture filtering or anti aliasing
>they can't even set it up!!
>sad!!

Attached: 123.jpg (480x300, 33K)

no that's what ingame means
Playable means the game can be completed
pretty much all modern day emulators use these classifications for compatibility
Also Skygunner can run at full speed you're just using a toaster

Skygunner runs at 5fps

But I have hundreds of roms and isos running on original hardware. It doesn't make PS2 emulation any less shit.

It's your toaster

b-but it's not in 4k! N-no anti-aliasing that you don't even need on a CRT!

I mean you can just go find videos of it running at full speed with no issues

I've been fine with PCSX2. Only real bother were small freezes every now and then. Tried fixing it with no success but in the end they just stopped on their own after a while.

You are running on a potato and or you have fucked your settings to have le epic x32 rendering 4K

go play it

I don't use emulators, I just use the original hardware.

Okay the rom has 6 minutes left, what's the easiest way to stream a game, or otherwise record a video? I'll BTFO this user right here and now.

>OPL doesn't even load Monster Hunter
Nice """"""""original hardware"""""""

yes BTFO me by getting some taste, a first for an emulater

I had the same idea but my net is so slow. Easiest way is OBS and twitch

Were you the one complaining you can't run the game at full 60 fps?

Of course, were you the one who is finally gonna play a good game or no?

Games can't even get consistency right.

>Can't play all NES, SNES, N64, GC, Wii and WiiU games on Switch
>Can't play all PS1, PS2, PS3 games on a PS4
>Can't play all DOS - Windows / Xbox OG & 360 games on Windows 10 / XBOX One
Why even play games? This shit is FUCKED

It must be romhustler because OBS downloaded the same amount of MB in a fraction of the time

Why do you even care about how your games run if you're playing on a console? Take what you can get because it's all you're getting.

Welll, I dont like the game, but I could run it with no problems months ago. Just for a note that some retards might miss it and that's not directly to you lads. To play games at full speed you need at least a CPU with an STR of 2000 minimum. You can find those STR scores on cpubenchmark.net/cpu_list.php

>i'm willfully ignorant to the functionality of game emulation and how it is not even the 1:1 emulation of a console but instead the faceted parts by which it worked

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I'm an idiot and quoted the wrong user. Was meant for obviously.

DQ is the unchanging standard of JRPG. The only thing that makes them interesting is the stories which is about the only thing they take "risks" on. But gameplay wise, it rarely changes shit and is the basis of all JRPGs today so it gets boring very quickly but so do all JRPG fights.

Even the music gets fucked these days because the composer is the ultimate jew so you get midi tracks more than actual music most of the time.

>they got normal eyes now

Thats an obvious one, I was missing the basic attacks that require a certain combination of buttons that cant be changed

>Passmark

actually AMD CPUs are better than Intel now unless you're buying a housefire i9 9900k thats been overclocked to 5ghz and running on liquid cooling.

but you should stick with Nvidia if your emulator uses OpenGL

If I put it in Turbo mode I can almost reach 10 FPS!

That guy was clearly shitposting or dumb. But thanks for proving him wrong. I played the game months ago as well and had no problems overall. Cheers.

Wtf he was right all along?? That's clearly 5 fps

Am I the only one which didn't had any problems with ps2 emulator? I just used hardware render and set resolution to 1080p and I haven't seen any problems. Same goes gor Citra. I only having problems with ps3 emulator because it's new.

Attached: you're a real cool guy.png (675x908, 80K)

>Citra
I'm find with PS2 emulation being total shit because there aren't many PS2 games I'd like to play. Now Citra is almost as shit as PCSX2, except it has games I'd like to play.

Thinking I might start Pokemon x on citra, havent played one in a while, not sure on the performance though and I'm ocd about frame drops.

>perfect
What, did the PS2 have a Pong port I didn't know about?

The PCSX2 compatibility list is actually really hard to navigate but the first one I found is Call of Duty - Finest Hour

nice filters emucuck

nice argument luddite

don't bother getting all the eggs, DONT.

Anyone got to try the Ace Attorney games on the 3DS emulator? Is it playable?

>Call of Duty - Finest Hour
>Energy Airforce - Aim Strike
>FIFA Street 2
>Finding Nemo
>Freedom Fighters
>Guitar Hero II
>Half-Life
>Midway Arcade Treasures
>Rig Racer 2
>Silent Scope
>Soul Nomad

Aren't they on steam?

Shit I miscounted. The last one is WWE All-Stars.

>Ace Attorney games on the 3DS emulator
If this is your attempt at playing them with the OG sprites then you're doing it wrong. 3DS trilogy still has the new sprites.

People on YouTube did, and it's playable

/pcbg/ keeps shitting on my mobo choice. I don't want to deal with intel's yearly socket change bs. Will only build this at the end of the year, beginning of next

So what's the problem with these emulators

Was talking about Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice, which I think is only available on the 3DS.
Alright cool. I might check it out.

>only available on the 3DS
Mate.
Android.
Bluestacks.
Not even those 2. The Great Ace Attorney with the translation patch even works now on android.

DKC trilogy. Looks pretty good with these settings, probably better than they would on the Switch emulation they aren't getting.

My bad, I thought those two were 3DS exclusive games. Is it better to just play those on Android then?

>Is it better to just play those on Android then?
Infinitely. Even playing them on an adroid phone is way better than 3DS
>no fps drops, SoJ has a lot of them on 3DS
>crisp look due to higher than 320p res
>no control loss from the games being on 1 screen instead of 2, all of them play exactly the same

And with bluestacks on PC you can do fullscreen, the game will upscale to your resolution. This means you'll play them all in 1080p or higher.

I find playing them in phone way comfier but both options are there and bluestacks is bug free from what I'm told.
go to andropalace to find em

Thank you so much for the info. I'll be playing them on Android then.

have fun user

Going to try this tonight, thanks broham

Armored Core 1, 3, and Nexus

Absolutely based. I think I got LR working on PCSX2, but I'm not sure if it's bug free

Just finished Wind Waker on Dolphin upscaled with HD textures. Looked about a million times better than the Wii U version since I didn't have bloom burning out my eyes. Too bad it was so graphics intensive it hitched sometimes.

What's the best way to emulate Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo?
Ps1 or DOS or other?

>shit filters
>wrong aspect ratio

Monster Hunter double cross, does anyone know how to get 60 fps instead of 30? the western release of xx has 60 with unlocked frame-rate but the nip is 30 locked

Fightcade or MAME. Why on earth would you play anything other than the arcade version

What should I be using, then?

Why would you even play Capcum shit in the first place

What ratio were the games played at during development?

I wasn't on the development team, I wouldn't know.

They are shit. Citra is dropping frames all the time, slowing down/speeding up (which fucks up sound really bad), it has terrible screen tearing with no working vsync option other than playing in in windowed mode, just try.

Need a spoon feed for this please, I will suck however many dicks it takes.

Those filters look better than the ones /vr/ told me to use.

It's been a while since I last emulated anything, has there been a decent emuparadise alternative?

I played this two months ago, and I didn't have any problem at all.

It was literally just one retard that is either using a toaster or can't run PCSX2 properly

i want to emulate radiant historia, but i don't know if i should play the 3ds version or the original

original so you can avoid the retarded "add an obnoxious waifu to all remakes" atlus policy

Thank you user, didn't know that

Megaman X4, X5 and Legends.
Final Fantasy Tacticts
Tekken 3
Chrono Cross

Castlevania Symphony of the Night

i got a ryzen 5 2600x and persona 5 runs almost always at 30fps

you will be fine with i7

God I hate you normalfags

Only the finest Ar tonelico 1 & 2 of course.
I just wish Steambot Chronicles ran better.

i doubt it
the vita doest have any emulation scene

maybe in a few years from now

But why? You can easily run the PC version

Is a 3700x good for emulating?

should be fine

Working atm with friend to make HD texture pack for Monster Hunter XX on 3DS (you need citra canary 1451+ to use custom textures)

Status:
- UI mostly done in 95%
- All villages have better textures
- friend finished armors and is working on textures but he is yet to upload it due to his shitty net (should be in few days)
- i work atm on environments and i am halfway done.
- currently there is no work on monsters, lack of manpower so if anyone is interested in helping you are free to joing project. #tools have all tools you need for AI upscaling

Hint: it's the only one that everyone had in their homes

Yes, i use it for Dolphin and RPCS3. No issues at present.

neat

Yeah, it's called Emuparadise

y-you can edit posts?

no you can't

I mean, the only other option on the emulator for aspect ratio is 4:3, so that'd be it.

Yea Forums has been spoiling fun out of vidya for such a long time.

the first Castlevania I finished was Castlevania: aria of Sorrow, emulated, now playing Symphony of the nights, not having the speedup/quicksave/load drives me insane at times.
