As far as we know, it has less content than most other Pokemon games, despite costing 50% more than any other mainline game.
It will likely have even more unbearable unskippable dialogue like in Sun and Moon.

Nintendo's online is shit so if you're interested in playing Pokemon online you're better off playing on Showdown, which won't limit the Pokemon you can use to the regional dex, has different tiers, etc.
Game Freak is obviously lazy and putting in the bare minimum despite their immense success and if you have any self-respect at all you would at the very least buy it used so the money doesn't go to them.
Or, better yet, just play a fangame because they're actually made by people who care about the games and not soulless hacks like Masuda.
I honestly can't see any reason to pre-order the game, nothing they've shown has been even remotely interesting on even the most basic level.

That hastag wasn't the best pick because the problem isn't about the NatDex at all. Yes, gen7 didn't have a NatDex, but after you beat the game you could transfer any pokemon you wanted into the game and use it as you liked, with gen8 this is impossible, since the game outright will not have the game files of any pokemon not in the NatDex.
This change is 100% because they want you to use their new Home service, since once you transfer your pokemon into that app, only a select few will be able to be transferred into each new game, and if you stop paying, they'll just delete your shit. This is also why PokeBank failed, because you only needed to pay once to transfer all your pokemon from one game to another, it was not a profitable service.

You will be able to do a one-way transfer from PokeBank to PokeHome. Because it's a one-way transfer and you can't move all your pokemon into a single game anymore, you'll be forced to keep paying for the service, not pay and get your mons deleted or just split your live dex into several games forever.
Yeah, this isn't a big deal for most casual players that just beat the game and forget it, but there's plenty of autist that move their entire collections through each gen and this is going to fuck them over hard.

Could be added later in the generation, who knows. Never has there been a case where the first games have been better than the last.

Also Masters and PoGo will make up for the little they will lose on Home/Bank, Bank was an expanded PC, nothing more. If people want better mainline games, they should stop playing mobile garbage and that is the problem these idiots have, they are extremely hypocritical.

well, game freak never made dlc in the past, but the last few tentpole nintendo titles (including the second/third-party ones) all had some form of dlc/'season pass' thing, so it's not entirely a given that it wont happen. also, sure, i see why they're mad, but i still think it's a bit much. i think it's good to keep expectations low, since that usually ends up making any positives resonate more, but this whole thing of fandoms actively hating something because it doesn't live up to their specific expectations is just silly
