My advice when it comes to dealing with this is to just never enter burned out districts. Like, seriously, if you can avoid it or maybe spend some fingernails, it's usually better to do it. At one time you'll be casually strolling around with absoultely not a living soul around you, and then you round a corner and five Ivans start surrounding your ass.

And it's not like you can run away if they get too close, they'll literally summon their stand「Dschinghis Khan」and spin you around instantly if they're in range.

I found not entering houses in burned districts is enough. As soon as they turn you around on the streets walk a step backwards and then turn around yourself, then run- always worked for me. Entering shops/npc houses will also make them lose interest.

He had the rug pulled out from under his life and you show up pretending to play detective about a dad that (in Rubin's mind) if you had actually cared about, you'd have come back home for years ago.

Going to talk to a particular character only to find she's already talked to them and made a deal/did something terrible/stupid would be kinda cool, especially if they made it so that it's possible to beat her to the punch if you get there early enough.

There's a lot of different options ingame, you can even lower rendering resolution to 25%. It might be painful to look at but consider it part of experience.
Here's the fix that sometimes helps with performance:

How does it work anyway? I know each player takes the role of the three protags and one the plague, with only one winner so you have to occasionally work together but also fuck each other over.

He was, they just changed him from a moneylender hunchback who starts the fags burning everything off to the guy you sell organs to.

I didn't even realise that was supposed to be him. He just has a normal character model.

I think it would be the best if Mandalore reminded him (but he's done way more than he was asked for, let him rest) or at least someone who has a decent amount of subscribers.
