I love that you anons went straight for the waifu/Husband question and nothing else, but honestly I like Forte alot and I hear she gets alot of cute moments,
but what about weapon and tool combos? or how to optimize crop stuff, I really want to get full autism mode with this game and get the most bang for my bucks
Samuel Gonzalez
For weapons, it depends on what suits your playstyle. Personally for me, I always craft daggers and gloves, and then, work on leveling up those weapon skill lvls. Also, aim for farming giant crops.
Release date will probably be announced during the next direct. It's supposed to come out sometime in 2019.
Landon Scott
I dont have a switch so, I am aiming to get one in the future but money is tight. Im abit of a dual blades guy but hell lets try the other weapons
I heard you can make an excalibur sword
Logan Butler
I'm stuck on the Thunderhorse.
Justin Mitchell
I don't know about crafting excalibur, but the strongest short sword I've made thus far was Soul Eater.
Charles Young
Id like to build the best weapon In the first arc that will pretty much carry me for most of the game if possible
Easton Williams
TBQH I don't remember which was the best weapon to used in the first arc, but I do remember using Iron Edge alot.
Caleb Wood
get buffamoo's early, if you interact with them enough daily they increase their milk output from small to medium to large same with woolies so get some of those, also distinguish between working animals and producing animals as you don't want a producing animal to be labouring on your farm, I find that the faries named after the coulours are pretty good for this, also crafting is really powerful and unlock the shop upgrade early also don't forget to buy a fodder bin and grow fodder for increased produce and animal labour also forte is best waifu.
Lincoln Powell
train up monsters, group heals are ridiculously overpowered if you get a tanky monster. Or you could get someone from town but they usually aren't that good.
Hunter Bell
The waifus and husbandos are pretty much the only thing to talk about until the newfags get their hands on the Switch version. Also, Dolly is the best wife and I won't hear another word about it.
Ah Okay so get two of each animal and make sure one is for interaction and one is just for farming, Okay
Ian Bell
Oh my fuck I want to hug her
Noah Price
Yes, she does have that effect on people. Completely understandable. Anyhow, this thread probably won't make it. I'd wait until the Switch version releases if you wanna get into some real in-depth discussion. Otherwise, just enjoy the ride, Don't overthink things. Playing this game blind was one of my favorite gaming experiences, period. Have fun, user.
>all the best girls are married/not marriageable perfect game other than these parts, hope the next game was as good as RF4
Brody Lewis
Honestly, all the weapons are good, it depends entirely on your playstyle. If you want to go full autism with crafting, staff and shield is great. Sword and shield is nice and safe, greatsword if you like hitting hard, dual sword if you like moving fast. Fists are stupidly powerful if you want really good DPS and mobility at the same time, but fists use a lot of RP so you early game they are hard to use.
Jaxson Cooper
>have to choose between Forte and Dolce all over again for my "main save file" AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Carter Martinez
Fuck now that you mention it, you can do a magic build aswell as a straight up attack build
Which should I try? Mage build or straight up attacker with dual swords or sword and shield? Greatswords I have not liked much at all honestly
Magic is really powerful but requires some research into what are the best upgrades for your staff, you can do a ton of shit with it, I think I specced my staff into poison due to how powerful poison is.
Brandon Wright
Fuck this is so overwhelming right off the bat
Im just going to play and see what happens and what I do
Wyatt Bailey
RF5 gameplay when?
Also, has the RF4 port even gotten a release date? It was announced half a year ago, surely porting a 3ds game with touched up visuals and a few new events shouldn't take that long, right?
William Hall
Yeah, staff is fun as fuck but requires a touch of preparation first. I'd recommend fiddling around with sword and shield as a "main" and fiddling around with the various staff attacks to see which ones you like. It's good to have a staff anyway because holding one boosts your magic stat for casting spells.
Dominic Myers
Do any of you mind helping me make some stupid weapon combos? Like give me some recipes I can go with?
Exactly what I was thinking of doing
Luis Perez
Just play around with the weapons and accessories, if you want to go full autismo you can, but you'll have to check some GameFAQ threads to figure out the full crafting possibilities. And let me tell you, the crafting is really fucking complex once you get really into it. Just to give you an example, I crafted an entire armor set for my Clorica that absorbs all damage, status effects and even increases her damage output, plus forged her an umbrella with him the stats of the best shield and made an invisible sword so she looks like she's attacking with the umbrella and looks classy as fuck.
Joseph Williams
Thats so fucking cool, any links you can send me? if it isnt a bother
Thomas Green
You can only make the super OP stuff endgame, you won't have the materials or stats to do that stuff early game. If you want something fun for early game, get poison powder from green mushrooms and use them as upgrades for a staff, you get an AoE poison attack when charging.
Ethan Campbell
Oh fuck okay going to go for that then, thanks!
Nicholas Harris
Status effects are a lot of fun. For example, you can buy cooking oil from the shop, and throw it at a boss, which gives the boss the "oil" status effect and makes them weak to fire damage.
Kayden Anderson
I cannot bring myself to marry any girl in this game because I love my wife Collette and I can't cheat on her, even as a different character.
Oh my god thats hilariously amazing, I never knew that
Asher Smith
>give ice cream to boss >fucking burn him alive afterwards And that's how I kill stuff in hard mode, by giving them ice cream, a wholesome way to die.
Parker Foster
if the thread dies, I would like to say thank you all for the advice, OH one more thing, what monsters (For when I want to have one of them follow me and be an attacker and stuff) Should I grab? Like the monsters that hit hard as fuck?
Landon Martin
Don't try to do this stuff at the start, as user mentioned, a lot of these mats are mid-late game, but if you get lucky and find them early you'll break the game. Just keep this on hand for when you decide to delve on it. gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/635388-rune-factory-4/68229810 There's more on making accessories too, like fusing the rings that increase exp, drops and lower rp consumption into one.
Jack Roberts
Oh Man I would love the Rings that boost those stats
Jaxon Butler
>has a swimsuit and pajama model/portrait >gets bashful is you give her cookies on white day >gets flustered if you say you like her when she eavesdrops during a sleepover Its not fair
Matthew Nguyen
I like Palm cats >can mount (fucking ridiculous but ok) >is fast as fuck >will knock down enemies for extended combos >hits pretty fucking hard >cute >easy to recruit The elemental fairies are fucking OP tho, so get one if you can.
Sebastian Wright
I actually like her a ton, what really sucks is that ventuswill isnt marriagable, but it makes sense Since her human form is literally a child form and it would be weird, but fuck it breaks my heart knowing that I will never be able to marry her
Joseph Sanchez
Holy shit, I will go for them what is the best item to give them?
Parker Jackson
played this when it originally came out and it blew me away. i out in hundreds upon hundreds of hours into the late game, one of my favorite video game moments. i really wish i could find a sound bite of Clorica saying "good mooorning" in her cute voice. not sure why i cant find it anywhere but i wish i could hear it again
Palm cats are easy just give them what they drop, the same applies to most monsters, they like what they drop, that or cocked food.
Elemental fairies a tricky little bitches that won't fucking join you and only spawn in very specific places, so give them your best food, is your best bet I believe, I think the green one joins you during story tho.
Jace White
I will do my best, I might not go full 100% But im just unsure really
Brandon Perez
Im going to go to bed anons
Thanks for all the help and suggestions!
Im going to start playing tomorrow and I might aim for Dolce but its hard when it comes to Forte. IF there are any other gamefaq links that might be what Im looking for would you mind posting them? Thank you again and good night/ Good morning, I hope you all have a wonderful day or night
