Nintendo Direct on September 11th will be themed as a "Classics Reborn" direct.
It reveals 14 new games for Switch, all of which are remakes or ports. There's also a couple other games mentioned that aren't revealed specifically at this direct like FF8 and Spyro.
Here is a list of everything being announced. Believe me or don't, IDGAF.
Super Mario Sunshine HD Super Mario 3D World Deluxe The Legend of Zelda HD Collection (WW/TP) Metroid Prime Trilogy HD Kid Icarus Uprising HD Ever Oasis HD Code Name S.T.E.A.M. HD Banjo-Kazooie Banjo-Tooie Tales of Xillia Collection (1 & 2) Xenoblade Chronicles Remastered Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE (No remastered/HD title oddly enough) Sonic Adventure Collection (1 & 2) We Love Katamari REROLL
Also the Nintendo Switch Online - SNES Games app will be revealed. 8 games to start with, with 2 being released every month. Here's the launch games.
Super Mario World Super Mario Kart Donkey Kong Country The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Super Metroid Kirby's Dream Land 3 F-Zero Pilotwings
*ahem* ladies and gentlemen, your attention please. My sources at blockbuster have just told me that something amazing is coming. I can't say too much but: >Nintendo Switch Online: Virtual Boy Pass >Virtual Boy Mini announcement >Virtual Boy Collection HD >Virtual Boy themed switch announcement >Virtual Boy 2 scheduled for 2020 Our dreams are finally being realized.
I only want this to be true because of Kid Icarus and Banjo. The rest is just gravy.
Tyler Adams
>direct on 9/11 Nintendo wouldn’t ostracize their American audience like that
Cameron Phillips
KOWASHITAI
Nathaniel Peterson
I dont believe for a second that they'd actually port Code Name STEAM or Ever Oasis but the rest I can totally see being real
Brayden Sanders
they literally released Mario Maker 1 on Sept 11
Camden Howard
Wasn't Ever Oasis actually good and just ignored?
Jeremiah Wilson
>Nintendo Online SNES I hope we get some shmups.
Robert Nelson
>code name, ever oasis, xillia, xenoblade, persona discount >classics
Lucas Campbell
Imagine still being this assblasted about something that happened almost 20 years ago, yet you Americans still won't admit that Bush and the Jews did it.
Luis Wright
I dunno. I didnt really like it but maybe?
Joshua Cooper
It was mainly ignored because it came out so late in the system's lifespan. Heck, Switch was already out by then. The game is amazing.
Adrian Howard
Jesus christ it's been nearly 20 years.
Michael Parker
>The Legend of Zelda HD Collection (WW/TP) Nope, confirmed fake. Nintendo would never do this when they could sell both games seperately for $60 each. Also, Sakurai said Uprising is literally impossible to port.
Evan Cox
>no Brigandine Fake
Oliver Lewis
>All of that kino Too good to be true, which of course means it's fake.
Cooper Sanchez
this is entirely too good to be true and therefore not gonna fucking happen
Companies don't announce shit on the 11th because of sensitive Americans.
Cameron Ward
Too good to be true, not believing it.
Liam Wright
>Xillia Collection thank god I don't have to buy a PS3 now
Jaxon Watson
>Nintendo: let's release our direct on the anniversary of the terrorist attack that changed the way the west viewed terrorism >also Nintendo: SOMEONE IN KYOTO SPILT THEIR COFFEE, DELAY THE DIRECT BY A MONTH
Christian Wright
I get it, 9/11 sucked, but it was almost 20 years ago. And even with the tragedy, September 11th is nothing more than a date. Time is an illusion where not specific amount has any significance, no matter what people say.
Tyler Miller
>Sonic Adventure Collection >We Love Katamari Don't fuck with me like this user...
Parker Jones
And yet... To be fair, this was likely because it was the Friday before SMB1's anniversary, but you get my point.
>assblasted Are you new? Americans are morally required to feel sympathy for it. You think I give a fuck about MLK, the Holocaust, or 9/11? I just want to have fun and die, I don't have time to feel bad about shit that happened in a different part of the world decades ago. As you're reading this, you might think I sound like an asshole. And that's why we do this pointless memorial, so we Don't seem like assholes. "Boo hoo, people died horribly generations ago..." Human fetus is a delicacy in China, and we're trying to suck their dick. Fuck fake morals.
Luke Moore
>another Xeno1 port >another WW/TP PORT >Takes of Xillia >Sonic the Hedgehog: Adventure >Codename fucking STEAM >Xenoblade X, one of the largest Wii U games ignored Where are my X boys?
That’s stupid, they don’t theme directs unless it’s for a specific game
Adrian Howard
Codename Steam was great, I pre-ordered it.
Easton Russell
>We Love Katamari REROLL Nahhh bullshit. Why would they have done the original if they were going to do WLK?
Nathan Miller
Days before the release of DQ 11-S
Elijah Bennett
People learn to speak French in France as a way of life. 9/11 is completely forced fear tactic, and not even a good one at that. It needs to be purged.
Parker Green
STEAM is fun once you get over the dreadful presentation (well, at least once they updated to game to make enemy turns faster).
Jaxson Jones
this list is so disappointing i believe it unless sunshine, 3D world, and Kid icarus get extra content, metroid and banjo are the only good things here
Jaxson Moore
I know OP is full of shit But just this once can it be true? Please?
I'm referring to how hard it is for an entire nation to break a tradition.
Carter Myers
Ever Oasis was great you fuck.
Jeremiah Roberts
Also, Nintendo probably have all those ports in store, but no way they're going to release that many on a single Direct. Specially big hitters like Mario Sunshine and 3D World.
Charles Stewart
>Tales of Xillia Collection (1 & 2) Alright, lucky Switch owners. You get the best lisp.
Is Pyra's game worth playing? I put a few hours into it near launch but it seemed kinda shitty. How long do I have to play until the combat gets more engaging?
Samuel Hill
Combat generally gets more interesting as you go along. Once you hit Uraya, its really picks up and you get more freedom to choose how you wanna kill things.
Tyler Hill
> I put a few hours into it near launch but it seemed kinda shitty
Launch version was pretty shitty because it was rushed. Most of the bullshit got fixed later.
> How long do I have to play until the combat gets more engaging?
Chapter 4, so probably 30+ hours, depending on how much you explore.
I put about 330 hours into the game total, so it's only a minor part of your game time.
But I do agree that the design decisions to lock everything up that much is retarded. The combat only gets really good once you have access to three Blades per character to combo properly + ability recharge food to not be reliant for auto attack to recharge your shit.
John Lopez
I remember when everyone told me FF13 got good 40 hours in. I played through the whole game. It never gets good.
Liam Kelly
>No F-Zero GX remake in HD So glad this is fake because nobody would be retarded enough to remake a 3DS game that bombed in HD
Daniel Allen
Why the fuck would they /have/ to emulate the 360 games? Did they burn the source code to these games?
Wyatt Anderson
>The Legend of Zelda HD Collection (WW/TP) >Metroid Prime Trilogy HD >Kid Icarus Uprising HD That alone would please me.
Lincoln Gutierrez
There is so much wrong with this statement that I will not even validate it with a proper response.
>Metroid Prime Trilogy HD >Kid Icarus Uprising HD >Ever Oasis HD >Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Uprising would suck without stylus controls but whatever, it's fake anyway.
This game was a massive fucking failure though. Why do you do this for free?
Ian Lopez
>a Nintendo Direct all about calling back to the GOOD OL' DAYS is scheduled on 9/11
Leo Foster
They released Mario Maker 1 on 9/11. I don't think anybody cares too much.
Christian Barnes
>Remake XC1 >when it's already been redone once before >when Monolith soft said no remakes/ports and only working on new things
Yeah, come on man. You got to try harder then this.
Kayden Clark
Right on my birthday, thanks Nintendo
Sebastian Murphy
There are people now that have no memories of 9/11 even happening so never forget doesn't really work on them
Jacob Richardson
fake but fuck me Kid Icarus Uprising HD would make me nut
Eli Sanders
Uprising was damn near unplayable BECAUSE it required stylus controls. Motion controls on Switch would be objectively superior and make the game actually worth playing.
Brayden Murphy
Never played Ever, but I heard great things about it.
As for STEAM, it has good ideas, but some baffling ones, like how in a 3d strategy game you can't see your enemies half of the time?, or how in a literature crossover your villians are generic lovecraft monsters and not Dracula, Ford or The Monster of Frankenstein?
Daniel James
>Super Mario 3D World Deluxe It truly amazes me how retarded Nintendo is, that they still haven't made this game come to Switch yet.
