It’s a good thing the pass character DLC’s been really great so far, so far they’re 3 for 3 on interesting characters, and I’d imagine the next two will be great too. Would love it if KOS-MOS got in, would help offset some of the lingering Rex salt, and I’d still get a cool Monolith Match with KOS-MOS v. Shulk.

Shadow because Sonic just isnt as popular as other franchises that have been brought up, and I think it would be hard to justify adding a second 3rd party character from the same franchise without making them an echo like Richter or Ken. And I feel Sakurai would probably make him a direct sonic clone anyways, rather than pulling his moveset from Battle, SA2, SHTH and 06.
Porky because Mother is a 30 year old franchise that ended 13 years ago with a small but dedicated fanbase, and is only relevant because of Smash. Smash 4 started around 2012 or 2011 i cant remember, And smash ultimate started as soon as the dlc for smash 4 ended (so right after bayo was announced) SO at first tons of charters seem plausible, but as time goes on some characters who were originally planned to get are cancelled last second or during development due to time or sakurai or even the Nintendo higher ups (Corrin)

Fawful is still possible in a weird way, since there's no cackletta spirit in the game. Some people have speculated it's because Fawful with cacklettas soul in his headgear is going to be the character, but I'm not hopeful.
