No, mostly because there is very little devotion to some characters as they only last one episode. Like, Claire and Steven were the most human written characters i've seen in a while and just as you feel invested in them, they don't play part of the story anymore. There's no tension, you know whats gonna happen and it's all boring as fuck. Then after 2 hours of snoring you get to the end and can choose between DO NOTHING (bad stuff happens) LET DANIEL SLAUGHTER EVERYTHING (bad stuff still happens)

Eh i liked LiS1 approach of introducing characters as extremely black and white and then building them up into something, as the episodes go on you genuinely feel interested in what is going to happen.

Even though the first game is a joke with its awful writing, voice acting, and animation, I still found it very entertaining. As an episodic game, I was much more engaged than nearly every Telltale series. The time-rewind gimmick was cool and made it resemble a proper adventure game, since there were puzzles designed around it (admittedly easy for the most part, but in my opinion preferable to just walking and QTEs).
LiS2 is a disaster. Not only is it twice the price of the first game, for no reason other than the fact they can get away with it, episodes are taking longer to come out. The game itself is way more boring. You don't play a character with a supernatural ability, and there's not even any semi-interesting adventure gameplay designed around commanding the telekinetic little brother at least. It's all straight-forward and lazy. There are a few bite-sized instances of other gameplay gimmicks, but for 99% of it you're just walking and talking. As for the story, I think it's not as unintentionally funny as the first game. It's just bad. I laughed at a few moments in the latest episode, but the whole game isn't like that. I'm just bored.
They should've expanded on the original time-rewind gimmick and school setting. You can still try plenty of new things within that framework.
