It's a choice.
WoW is far too much time consuming. It ruined the life of a friend back in 2006 and i don't want to touch this shit ever again. I rather focus my efforts on putting my life together instead of playing a husk of a time sink that was relevant 14 years ago. I would feel honestly bad playing something i already played a decade ago.

Small addendum: Plus even if I got past the first hurdle I'd be overwhelmed in terms of learning the lore so I don't feel so much like an outsider looking in. I gave it a couple chances on different trial accounts. I mean it's not a bad game in it's own right, I guess I'm just a simple man that prefers cathartic games like viscera cleanup.

I almost did it. I got really excited when it was first announced, I even homeposted a few times. Then I realized I’m not a teenager with endless free time anymore, it’s not 2005 anymore, the feeling won’t truly be the same.
