the game was such an ambitious project that there is no way that the DLC won't have, dare i say it, A LOT more content than what you'd usually expect from capcom

Itsuno already mentioned he'd rather do a dmc 6 than remakes. We got the anime in the future and the manga currently.

DMCV is done. Itsuno wants to make Dragons Dogma 2, and I honestly can't wait. The first game was flawed to shit, but the concepts underneath were amazing.

Yeah it's obvious he wants to work on a new DD. I think V's gameplay is kind of a proof of that.

Can I ask two questions? First; am I the only one a little on the fence about Adi Shankar making a DMC cartoon (sorry plebbit, I mean "western anime")? I mean I enjoyed the anime but it wasn't great, and half of its appeal was getting based Reuben back in the dub. We don't know anything about it yet. Will it be canon? Will it be true to the series i.e not a shitshow like DmC? Castlevania is good, I'll admit but wasn't very true to the series either, so I suppose it's not necessarily a bad thing, just wanted your opinions on it. And, finally, second; does Yea Forums hate Devil May Cry now? Everyone was hyped as fuck for it, everyone loved it for about a month and now... people seemed to have either moved on or actively hate the series. What happened?

I'm 80% sure we gonna have DMC5SE in a couple of years, depends on when new gen will be released
I'm also optimistic about 6th game, but would not expect in the next 4-5 years.

I'd love to see DMC4 with the last third of it's dev time, and what they wanted to do with new Dante bosses and alternate weapons for Vergil.
It would also be cool to see a decent version of DMC2, because the aesthetic and music were there, even if the gameplay didn't show up.

It's called burnout, people overhyped themselves as they always do, then months pass and the game does't bring the same amount of joy it brought right after release.

If a Vergil DLC comes out, you'd want it to take a long time so that it gives him an actual campaign for once. But knowing Capcom they'd save those resources for DMC6

I was honestly pretty disappointed with DMC5.
If the series continues I hope we get a new director or at least a DMC1 remake by Kamiya.

If they do make a DMC5SE it will be for next gen consoles, outside of that i don't think it will get anything else

Adi is a big fan of the franchise so maybe he'll make it decent enough. He's a big Dantefag so maybe he'll get the spotlight. Wonder if they'll start from 5's story or they'll start from 3, I guess that depends on how many seasons they plan on doing.

New people doing the games. Itsuno wanted to finish off the series for himself with this game and let others take over so they are bringing in new blood. That means that whatever comes next will probably not be like 5. That's my hope at least.

Matt is just the hype man, Itsuno probably has someone who worked on all the dmc games lined up as a director.

Directing in games is not all there is to development. A producer can do the job of the director or even have more influence than the director.
I don't know if Matt will any better but I do know that both Itsuno and Maboroshi don't know how to do Dante. It's why they focus so much on Nero.

Where's LDK mode, but instead of just being LDK, it's also co-op with 3 players in every mission.

Yeah, that's kind of what I mean. They took him to un established time when they could do whatever they wanted with him. After that Trish and Dante became so... depersonalized. They have no personality beyond the traits of Dante's cool and Trish is, I don't know, blond. Even Lady, who they made, is just a person who is there. She's not the strong, driven woman she was in 3, she's not passionate or even that present.

You know, back when DMC4 was a few old I complained that it had 3 melee and 3 projectile weapons for Dante. People got on my case for complaining and that it was to have all weapons available on the fly. My suggestion was to have more weapons you could switch on the pause menu. That did not go over well.

Everything you just said I've said, even said a few before the game came out and I've never been told to go die in so many rage filled ways.

My point is even if we complain you are just going to get shit for not falling in line and pretending it's all perfect. Being part of this fandom sucks sometimes.
