There's a bit of a learning curve at the begining because combat is so clunky, and it's harder early game because you have no good gear.
But once you get used to the combat and you get some good armor, the game becomes a nice little slice of medieval life. Despite being more realistic, it's actually less bleak than The Witcher.
If you're into history and RPGs, it's definitely worth a play.
