I know AMD bought ATi and now ATi is just known as AMD but the GPU and CPU manufacturing is done by two completely different entities.

You know most of those vulnerabilities apply to AMD too, right?

I don't think people realize how astronomically hard it would be to make a virus that intelligently uses Spectre/Zombieload/etc. You could have a salaried team of world-class software devs working on it 24/7 and they would probably fail
