The only reason the mobile and switch versions tease a sequel is to give fans a reason to keep rebuying the same game. The new content in the Switch version reused loads of bosses and assets because SE know how much we want a sequel and did a desperate cashgrab and know they had to add at least something to the Switch version to make old fans buy it again. You can tell that they were pulling stuff out of their ass when they made the new content with the entire city being a noise

I just love the look of it, the game absolutely captures the feel of this tiny alley. It's hard to tell but Parco (Molco) towers over this entire space.

They really put a lot of effort into capturing the feel of each location. I think remember an interview where some of the devs would actually enter areas without permission to capture photos for specific angles in the game.

When will SE stop sequelbaiting? They've been doing this for 7 years now. What's the point?

They probably know that they’ll never surpass the original and are aware of how much the fanbase wants a sequel so they’re content with just baiting us over and over again for a few extra bucks.

That's what I was thinking. TWEWY is my favourite game and it's depressing seeing how it's been treated. Now we have a cliffhanger that will never be resolved.

I was hoping it would be left as a once off on the DS, it was a complete experience that told it's story and wrapped everything up.

I would’ve been perfectly fine with a spiritual successor or at the very least a sequel that didn’t use the original cast but that would require Square to actually do some effort so we’re shit out of luck on that front.
