Jeremiah Parker
I'll play those multiplats on my PC. The only reason to own a console is exclusives
Julian Gonzalez
My switch bro friend goes nuts for pc ports and multiplats on switch despite having a top of the line pc. Is it mental illness?
Jose Sullivan
Maybe he really likes playing on a handheld
Carson Morris
Why? Every good game is available on the PS4. It is the single best money-to-quality ratio device.
Zachary Thomas
I may think the Switch is a faggotslab but if you consider yourself a game hobbyist and solely own a PS4 then you're a fucking idiot.
Chase Foster
Switch has been great this year, shame pride won’t allow some people to enjoy these new games
Elijah Adams
>No Mario Kart 9
Pure shit, I wanted new tracks entirely, not MK8's gravity gimmick again.
Chase Sullivan
Nah, we pirates wait for pc emulation and all Switch firmwares to be cracked open like the 3DS. Just wait 3 years for the /hbg/ to figure it out. I did the same to the Wii U.
>we pirates funnily enough I recently hacked my switch so I can play games as they release or in some cases sooner
Daniel Bennett
That's great. It's worth it considering the new features it can do when hacked and building a real virtual console. I'm still waiting on a "new" Switch or "XL" before I take the bait.
Jonathan Gutierrez
Serious question - are fighting games on level where you can play them on par with PC and PS4 players?
Cameron Bell
>FFXIV I like to play MMO’s on PC >Prey Sure, but in general I play shooters / shock series stuff on PC The switch is really really good, but it’s not a general entertainment box for all the multiplats and triple A’s imo. It’s got a great selection of games and ports, but pairing it with either a PC or PS4 gives you coverage on all the games you want to play with desired fidelity. That is to say, most people I know who love their switch do PC + switch
Christian Kelly
They already did, except unlike Sony and Microsoft, they capped the max clock speed of the improved processor so that the only gain is in battery life. The switch mini already kind of makes the original and revised switch an “XL” model.
Nathan Richardson
Smash Ultimate is an exclusive

>ninetenyearolds feel proud for the chance to pay full price for ports
>every good game A lot of really fun indies aren’t. Also, consider that the greatest cost of gaming comes down to software (5-7 full price titles is all it takes to overtake the price to a PS4), and given the prevalence of sales, discounts, and giveaways for keys, PC is the platform where it’s easiest to get the most games for the same dollar. Not to mention, lots of connection options means you can play lots of games with peers feasibly on PC than on PS4. Finally, upkeeping a PC is what makes it worth it in the end, as you have a machine that can faithfully produce lots of frames at high fidelity for longer than a single gaming generation, which also extends to emulating somewhat more recent consoles like the PS3 - dolphin is always a good time
Adrian Allen
How is RDR 2 coming?

Nobody “feels proud” to make a purchase I’m fine with ports on PC and on switch. I chose to get the FFXII port on switch because I’ve been flying a lot for work and wanted to get in time on an RPG I liked when I was a teenager. Meanwhile I got okami HD on PC because that’s the sort of action game my girlfriend and I would be into playing next to each other
Dominic Moore
Why are Switchfags so insecure? Is the Wii U era embarrassment still fresh in their heads?
Not him, but I think what they’re trying to say is that if you’re trying to dunk on a newer console by extolling the virtues of a console that 1) was in its initial years largely a portstation that struggled to hold consistent frame rates until a hardware revision $100 more expensive than the base model. Hell, neither souls nor sekiro even run at consistent 30 on PS4 Pro, much less reach 60 2) had a much smaller volume of new games come out in those initial years than the switch 3) already bad at running triple A games despite being $100 more expensive and being marketed as a machine to play triple A’s I like my PS4 a lot since I ended up getting a good amount of titles cheap, and it worked out, but let’s really not pretend like the PS4 had smoother sailing or that it’s entirely worth it over PC + switch.
No lol Snoybois keep making these threads for some reason and then shout louder when everyone tells them nobody likes their console. Like a PC is the system of choice for high fidelity, high framerates in resource heavy games. The PS4 makes concessions they work against that experience and doesn’t have the resources to even run games at reasonably high fidelity and frame rate, so it feels like when you play games on there, you’re playing *in spite* of the PS4, not because of it. The switch’s semi portable gimmick and good selection of titles I’d actually play in bed, with friends, or as exclusive by myself is what makes the hardware work for me, so emulation won’t really capture that. So honestly, the difference is that PC’s and switch’s have well defined, well performed use cases, while the PS4 and xbone are sort of failures this generation for failing to deliver an experience comparable to the PS2 or even PS3 library

It's a standalone game for the best jrpg of this gen
Carter Phillips
I haven't turned on my switch since donkey kong tropical freeze, but I'm glad you like it.
>Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Mega39’s Isn't that the game that has less than half the content of future tone? Why would you even put that on the list?
Andrew Hernandez
>Like a PC is the system of choice for high fidelity, high framerates in resource heavy games. then why do nintendo fans seethe so hard when people play the definitive versions of their games on pc?
