lmao never mind we are just generic space alien doom killers
Lies
Kino scene. They fucked up by introducing a threat beyond human comprehension and then writing a plot that required an explanation for their actions tho.
Why couldn’t it be a false flag though?
Do you mean a red herring?
That’s the one
Just like they always were. Stay mad.
Will there is no real reason why it couldn't, that could even be interesting. But the writing fell apart toward the end and we got what we got.
Me3 with mods is still a bunch of fun gameplay wise, so oh well
CREAPER
>dude robots are dangerous better kill you to stop making them lmao
QUESTION DODGING IN LOUD BOOMING VOICE. MYSTERIOUS AND SCARY.
It's not fair bros... ME1 was hella fucking epic... it was KINO! They just couldn't follow it up well enough, it's not like it wasn't shitty lovecraftian cop-out writing to begin with!
>lovecraftian
Kino though
Bump
I actually kinda like this scene through the new lens of Sovereign being some ultra-edgy tryhard trying to sound more powerful and mysterious than he really was
They already fucked the story up beyond repair in 2, not in 3. 2 had some good side stories, but the main plot was garbage. Harbinger was not nearly as threatening and impressive as Sovereign.
Nothing in the entire ME series topped the Citadel twist. The first ME had so many great plot points and left so many interesting threads open for future installments to explore and they just fucking dropped the ball in the worst possible way. God fucking dammit.
They had no idea what to do from the start let’s not kid ourselves
The biggest atrocity was not being able to side with the reapers after they decided to take humanity into their ranks. Get fucked, xenos. We reapers now!
Indoctrinated present!
Shame the other games didnt get as much attention, modding wise
I never liked the series. It had a couple of cool moments and some neat ideas, but the game around which they were strung was ass.
What plot twist?
>nice villain you've got there, shame if something were to happen to it
plots from 1 and 2 should be switched
ME3 was fun and a handful of it's plotlines were fairly enjoyable.
it was just prematurely ruined by it's on-disc dlc and then the ruin was solidified by the ending. shame.
REAPERS
COSMIC THREAT BEYOND OUR POSSIBILITIES
and shepard fought one on-foot lmao
The Citadel and all the advanced tech was Reaper tech all along
WE ARE BEYOND YOUR COMPREHENSION MORTALS
>they never do anything incomprehensible, they just blow shit up for a completely retarded reason
>and shepard fought one on-foot lmao
Nevermind that a shot from a large ship's cannon is supposed to cause an explosion comparable to a nuclear bomb.
Then the entire fleet shoots at the Reaper while Shepard is standing 10 meters from it.
Why the fuck did they have to make Udina a Cerberus lackey?
i just find it comical as all hell that these planet-wiping machines can't hit one dude running around all cowadoody on them
it was so comical and disappointing, i will never forget it
Indoctrination, ain't gotta explain shit
I mean it’s a good cop out
This guy is EA
I'm no expert on lasers, especially space ones but shouldn't that do Shepard in by emissioned heat alone at that proximity?
I remember that scene.
In the same way that all modern fantasy/medieval films are just braveheart with a new coat of paint, all sci fi battles are just star wars with a new coat of paint. Everything is just pew pew little lasers.
>They fucked up by introducing a threat beyond human comprehension
>Ancient machine
How is that something "beyond human comprehension" ?
By all rights the geth should have killed him on first contact. We have drones now that can fire a handgun with sniper accuracy, but alien robots from the future have human-tier reaction times and use humanoid infantry.
Sauce for said drones?
To be fair that would've been pretty fucking unfair
Shields
Play Counter Strike
But thats what they were?
Isnt that pretty much what happened to Jenkins?
Will we ever see Bioware do something as fucking KINO as this scene Yea Forums?
Because they weren't machines. They were a combination of mechanical and organic parts and possessed a collective intelligence that was beyond those of organics and synthetics.
The Reapers played on cosmic horror but it was kind of watered down in ME2 (to an extent) before the entire thing was thrown out the window in ME3 in favour of 'oh they're machines obeying circular logic'. Wasted potential as they were this constant menace on the fringes of the Mass Effect narrative.
We didnt deserve Saren
What is your favorite gun in Mass effect? Mine is M-76 Revenant.
Graal
Why did they make Humans the focus of 2 and 3?
sounds just as good as english version
Different writer who is retarded and loves comicbooks
Cos humans rule
