You can see who is at the top of the list/has the most support points by going to a unit's Notes page - there's a section in the bottom right called "Closest Allies" or something. Whoever is the first on that list is the person they have the most support points with, and if their support is A or higher, that's who they're going to be paired with.

If there's one thing I really didnt like about feth, it was the recruitment mechanic, both in game and in story.

Mechanic wise, it's a hassle to get some random stat you wont use for the sake of a single character, and once you recruit them tough luck, because the unit slots are very tight and limited.

Story wise, you pretty much got people opposing their country in a war just because they liked their school teacher.

It's like if you could recruit ryoma in conquest and have him fight his siblings and him saying "nothing personal, corrin is just too awesome"

Most Students shouldve been exclusive to their houses while still having the classic method of recruitment(like talking to guest during battle), pretty much the only thing fates did right.

Over the course of the support with her she slowly opens up to you but when you approach the subject of her prayers she keeps running away until the time skip where she is able to overcome her depression and actually starts acting differently. You also finally get the mission to help her confront the source of her depression and then her S rank is like the perfect end to that arc.

Even if you don't like her as a character, I would say stick with her to the end because the whole arc is what's good about her.

Mortal Savant has black tomefaire, combined with his personal skill and blistering speed Felix will be dealing 20 base damage which will add up against low Res targets even with his piddly Mag.
Thoron also makes for an excellent ranged option to keep him from being sniped without using up Levin Swords.
Savant isn't really a power option, Felix kills as much as a Swordmaster, it's a budget option for when you don't want to burn through your swords.

10 uses of blizzard isn't much on a low magic unit. You probably won't have sword avoid and alert stance+ which leaves her evasion pretty low.

Claude's Fodlan is basically a Poland-Lithuanian Commonwealth and will become a massive shithole in ~100 years solely because of how its system works though

Soulblade can do decent damage but it basically just a 1 range magic attack that you have to spend durability. If she's a dark/white knight she's better of just using a normal magic attack.

And if you didnt grind her to be tanky/fast enough than shell be getting doubled and killed by every counter attack.

She's potentially good at offense but requires too much investment when others can do way more for less

Ingrid is RNG the character desu, and I meant Savant being a budget option specifically for Felix. He achieves maximum kill with his natural talents as a Swordmaster (Astra is overkill), so moving him to Mortal Savant afterwards is worth it to have a secondary option for him to use since otherwise he eats through all your Armorslayers/Levins.

Because Claude doesnt have a huge investment in running Fodlan, which is why he leaves it to you while he works with making relations with Almyra.

What about the Church?

Paladin is canon for him if that matters to you, when he is made a paladin he'll stay in his default armor. It's also pretty good in general.

Why wouldn't you? All she needs is sword, reason, and sword crit. The other two can be defensive, like alert+, sword avoid if you chose dancer, or defiant avoid. My Ingrid had sword prowess, sword crit, swordfaire, reason, and alert+. Though granted, this was only on a ng+ where I could buy her ranks of flyer.
