Liquor and laissez faire

How about HPM?

Same thing but state capitalism

laissez faire is trash, state capitalism is the best

What's a fun country to dismantle other nations with?

usa just like IRL

is there any way to prevent Britain from constantly ruining my empire building dreams?

if small nation: prestige until great power, get colonies and make an army
if large nation: industry until great power, get colonies and make an army
LF is trash but conservatives are faggots
push for reforms and population increase
secret mode: play china and westernize before 1870 to become numbah wan

I tried to play it but fuck even for Paradox the UI is impenetrable.

Way too dated.

Krakow

You vs League of the Three Emperors

How do I even begin as Kraków?

reminder to not use nu-HPM
play with this mega.nz/#!ig5niYrZ!IEB9CuFEV2UAaSy8fAmk45ZPEn8nIphOvYH3WN2fKzQ

just play, fail and learn

>prestige until great power
get a load of this cheating faggot
being a secondary power is comfy af

improve relations with russia and use them to beat up austria
then use preuBen to beat up russia
expect to fail a lot if you don't cheat

>cheating
as if you can build a sizable army as krakow, belgium or greece

Which focuses should I choose for the regions?

>reminder to not use nu-HPM
Why?

well by cheating as krakow i mostly meant debug yesmen or outright changeowner
and both belgium and greece can field proper armies, they're not gonna beat germany, but they certainly can beat their main enemies (holland and turkey respectively). the problem with greece is the low literacy that prevents you from quickly researching artillery and tactics tech and effortlessly dabbing on the turks

only ever use 5 focii: bureaucrats, clergy (intellectuals), soldiers, craftsmen and clerks
bureaucrats in the early game in regions that are majority your accepted culture to speed up all pop promotions
clergy right after that to 2% to maximalize research mana gain; if you're below 60% get them to 4% to maximalize literacy gain. sometimes you might want to start with clergy instead of bureaucrats if you're playing a minority rule country
soldiers are obviously only needed if you expect to go to war. just keep in mind the maximum percentage of soldiers you can have in your country is proportional to your military spending (at the bottom of the finance screen, not the stockpile at the top), 50% spending will be max 2,5% soldiers, 100% will be 5%, etc.
after you've reached more than 20% literacy you can start encouraging craftsmen for score and industrial self-reliance
once you have 50% literacy encourage clerks to gain more research mana and improve the efficiency of your factories

A lot of weird, unexplained (some might say spiteful) changes for the worse while barely adding anything new.

Do nothing for 60 years.

t. usa pro

t. uncivilized pro

Stop bullying me, Kraut homolords.

blobbing as uncivs is fun though

fuck niggers and fuck grandi

How to avoid breaking economy?

play a good mod

Laissez faire is only good once your nation has already industrialized. If you don't have a solid economic base, your pops won't have the capital to build factories on their own and you'll enter the 20th century as a feudal society.

Other tips I would give are to start off the game by conquering one state uncivs like Tunis, Brunei or Johore. Grab concessions from China. Only going for one or two states at a time and you'll have a short war. China's regiments are garbage compared to Western armies and you can easily get enough score from battles. If you get greedy and try to take too much, you'll get bogged down in an endless war. Those Chinese states will provide tons of manpower and resources since they have massive populations. Don't neglect your naval bases, since that will determine your ability to colonize.

.bmp

You don't really get good, just try to have fun with it. But basically what said. Also play with HPM if you've already had a few runs in vanilla. HPM is basically like an entire expansion.

do something about china
do something about goods consumption and production
add money to the economy somehow

>DoD will never be updated

Germany is literally made to dismantle every European empire. just like IRL

what am I looking at?

It's kind of hard to ruin Christianity whenever Latins did it several hundred years prior. Lol.

one of many retarded province border changes that prevent you from achieving historical borders

its amazing that even in video games ancap retardation doesnt work

Modify the game to give bonuses to your political opinions, and then extend the timeline indefinitely.

>cheating

You're telling me people that make mods don't have biases?

they all do
hell, even paradox is biased (see overwhelming german majority in western poland)
that's why playing your own mod is cheating, but playing other people's mods is not

No capitalists, focus capitalists.
Low administration in accepted population states, focus on bureaucrats.
4% clergymen no matter what, no negatives to this.
5% soldiers after.
Never influence clerks or craftsmen, they come naturally.
10-20% spending on administration so the bureaucrats don't become inflated, but only after 100% in reasonable states.

After all this, electoral votes are very important in democratic nations. Otherwise, resort to refining your population amounts and influencing clerks. Craftsmen will always come no matter what.

My only modification is synthetic RGO factories that activate after 1930, halved factory construction, and extending the parties and end date to 9999. It's pretty fun, based on NNM

Attached: V2_MAP_BYZ_1938.1.26_1.jpg (5616x2160, 996K)

Do I focus on capitalists from the start?

You should only need to focus on them enough to get factory construction investment started. I resort to 0.10% per state in the long term.

>extend the timeline indefinitely
Doesn't the economy crash after a while and how well does the game run with billions of pops?

you don't its a shit game

ok porky, capitalists are only useful to automate railroad production
your industry should always be a well oiled military-industrial complex designed from the start to support 2 lvl 20 airplane and tank factories
the negative to getting more than 2% clergy is that they don't do shit, literally just siphon your income while being freeloaders

if you want to get baited, yes

oh you're that asteroid mining faggatron?

Anyone have the link to many houses divided?

Attached: 1565962363958.jpg (600x785, 159K)

see
I synthesize RGOs to support populations, the total population overflows at about 4 Billion total population. So you have to invert the national focuses manually, because it resorts to only giving you 1. And yet the game will continue to run. I even played up to 2256 until I got bored.

>My only modification is synthetic RGO factories that activate after 1930
How do those work?

rate my germany

Attached: 20180412001610_1.jpg (1680x1050, 459K)

ugly borders/10

I simply make factories that produce the original RGOs. Some however are "cloners" that will take in 1 sheep to make 4 sheep. This creates a feedback loop, but it's the only way to stop a malthusian disaster.

Attached: 9406676565[1].jpg (1920x1080, 703K)

Gross.

left or right?

Attached: gervsfra.png (900x600, 38K)

So they're basically just factories that don't require any inputs to produce new goods? Does it take a lot of work to tweak the output and make that reasonably balanced? Mind uploading your personal mod somewhere so I can take a look at the files?

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO FRANCE AAAAAAAAAAA

Attached: eEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.jpg (1280x720, 33K)

Not Vicky2 but I always restore the "Frisian borders" or whatever in CK2 even if I'm not playing as them. It just feels right. Fuck France.

>grootnederland
YES
YEEEES

I still haven't found a "balance" I like, in fact I notice people are still running out of money for the goods. Even when they're bottom dollar and being overproduced for shit.
Victoria 2's economy is just fucked.

This however is an example of a synthetic factory
sulphur_asteroid_factory = {
template = factory_template
input_goods = {
electric_gear = 1
explosives = 1
machine_parts = 1
}
output_goods = sulphur
value = 40
bonus = {
trigger = { has_building = synthetic_oil_factory }
value = 0.15
}
bonus = {
trigger = { has_building = explosives_factory }
value = 0.1
}
bonus = {
trigger = { has_building = machine_parts_factory }
value = 0.1
}
}

ALL OF IT

I'll check it out, thanks. The lack of money problem might be a bug in V2, I don't know if it's true for sure but I'm pretty sure I've read some posts about how some money just disappears so eventually you end up with a finite amount of money to go around for an increasing amount of goods, you might need to write a few cash injection events.

why won't you go search the /vg/ archive, faggot?

Do you want me to kill myself?

vicky 2 is so fucking easy, its hoi4 i cant get my head around.

what do you think?

You're the reason every fucking strategy game focuses on warfare now.

hey guys I'm about to do my first german game, what do you think?
