I'm nearing the end of the game, I just killed the two twins and I think there's not much else to do.
My initial impression was super positive but after 13 hours of gameplay (I'm playing on the hardest difficulty and exploring each map) and the less inspired levels of the ending part, the game's flaws started to become too clear to ignore.
I have never been a fan of Build Engine and the fact that it is so janky. Duke Nukem 3D already have too many problems with it and many of these problems are present in Ion Fury (player dies for level geometry, terrible collision detection, too stupid enemies even by 1996 standards, inability to throw objects like grenades with any precision, frequent bugs on weapons like bow or SMG, etc.)
Build Engine definitely can't stand up to modern standards, and even the charm and autistic attention to detail in Ion Fury can't cover up these flaws.
In my opinion the beginning of the game is 9/10 but after playing 13 hours I would say it is a 7.5/10 game at best.

The only fake part of the retro is the incorrect pixel scaling in the UI.
