>what if we made a CRPG and turn character creation in DPS race
>you literally cant lose a fight now
Divinity 2. It saddens me how this is so popular compared to Pathfinder
What if we made a CRPG and turn character creation in DPS race
>beat boss you're not meant to beat by abusing game mechanics with prior knowledge
>complain game is now too easy
you fuckin wot m8? don't beat it then, complex plan.
pathfinder isn't hard either. divinity 2 on tactician was harder in chapter 1 and early chapter 2 than most crpgs have ever been, granted it fell off like fuck after that though. pathfinder was never as hard as that at any point in the game what are you on about lad
>Chapter 1 was hard
Nigger what? There was nothing hard about it and chapter 2 was ezmodo with voidwoken, cemetary and dwarf necro
>beat boss you're not meant to beat by abusing game mechanics with prior knowledge
You know enviromental effects and high ground are a feature?
Larian studios said that if players fins ways to trick the game through the own game mechanics and not exploits/glitches it's their right to use that as they discovered it on their own.
Also you're running a lone wolf with summoning, the popularly known most broken build in the game.
Divinity os 2 is a damn good game.
it's 1000x more accessible than Pathfinder
This is why I generally don't powergame in RPG's anymore. It's generally more fun to build your character the way you like it and enjoy the struggle with your suboptimal garbage build. Every cRPG ever can be metagamed into being boringly easy, but that's a choice. It seems really dumb to me to try as hard as you can to find the most overpowered, game breaking shit you can and then complain that the game is too easy.
The only thing that annoys me is how fast loot becomes utterly worthless (even the epic-tier items) and how they gutted crafting.
At least you could always make some decent gear in the first game, here's it's completely RNG after each level up.
And you actually NEED that new gear because of how fast enemy shields/HP/damage sponges up.
>You know enviromental effects and high ground are a feature?
Oh yes, I'm sure everyone that plays the game literally in their third fight has all the correct tools to teleport to unreachable locations whilst the enemy slowly dies.
>Nigger what? There was nothing hard about it
I beg to differ. Maybe you didn't play on tactician, but chapter 1 consistently puts you in fights with enemies both vastly more powerful than you and in greater number, unless you cheese shit like you did here, chapter 1 is the hardest point in the game
Game can have a goofy fucking combat system but still be fun at the same time, OP. I know it's a fucking mind blowing concept to you but there's more than one way to enjoy video games. I imagine some people even like it solely because it looks pretty in the exact way their eyes happen to like it or because it offers 4 player co-op.
Man, what a world we live in.
>Oh yes, I'm sure everyone that plays the game literally in their third fight has all the correct tools to teleport to unreachable...
Did you try assaulting the fort at level 4 or violently free the elf? Theres your problem then, you dont even need teleporting in ch 1 if you dont try to pick impossible fights
Actually, I just have the default RPG group. Dood with a shield, rogue, wizard and a necromancer. Its not the best, its actually one of the worst due to split damage but shits still too easy. All I need to do is position before fights instead of clumbing into a ball like every retard out there for whom game is balanced for.
Im not minmaxing either, my builds fucking suck but they still stomp on tactician which is the default difficulty
Pathfinder was really good, better than all the other modern CRPGs I've played, but that kingdom management shit got old quick. I really hope Larian doesn't fuck up BG3 with their "humor".
Sure
Anyway, Divinity OS2 has never been said to be difficult. Positioning, target focusing and cahining CC will get your further than proper gear or stats.
It's not a game about finding the most optimized build like a more DnD based one, but a "make your own story" type of game.
It's definetly one of those games it's your jam or not, I wouldn't blame anyone for not liking how it does some things.
i beat Alexandar on tactician by stealthing in a high area and chain teleporting him far away from his goons then nuking him down before the worm showed up. then did the same for the rest of them one by one.
i like having options like that in a game like this instead of having every fight just be a standard thing
I'm just glad turn-based has taken over. Even Pathfinder is more fun with the TB mod.
I mean I rank marksman in Act 1 but still
that's the other infamously broken build. MArksman / summoning with lone wolf are the god, along necro/warfare.
But as I said give no fucks, have your fun and don't think too much about trivial things
yeah, 3/1 is just awful, makes you feel like you're just benching the one dude
2/2 worked swell
>image search it
>dude just draws maids on skateboards
>hundreds of maids on skateboards
>pathfinder
>spend 5 minutes applying every buff to existence to your fighters
>faceroll through entire dungeon
I mean, I like both games, but your point is retarded.
Gotta say I can see passion for both skateboarding and maids. And the art is all top tier. Kudos to the guy.
>this is so popular compared to Pathfinder
Wow its almost like real time with pause is a fucking garbage way to make a game.
>It's generally more fun to build your character the way you like it and enjoy the struggle with your suboptimal garbage build.
This is the only way for me to feel any kind of immersion in a crpg. As soon as I minmax I feel like neo looking through the matrix, it all becomes numbers.
This.
Real time with pause is fucking awful.
t. jrpg loving weebs
Morons. There are like 5 good RTWP crpgs for every turn based one.
user, I dont use anything OP
Good thing deadfire revived the genre, huh?
Pathfinder was fantastic after the kinks were ironed out. Haven't played deadfire yet.
I prefer it with the turn based mod desu, but it did more for the genre than pillars ever could. Didn't need daily countdown hype threads to get there either.
>how this is so popular compared to Pathfinder
>why is great game more popular than literal garbage
>Pathfinder
>Worse than Divinity
Might as well claim Dorf fortess is worse than prison architect
Nigger, there arent even 5 good RTWP CRPGs to begin with
only the most truly autistic virgins can actually believe that a game that requires you to spend 5-10 minutes buffing your party before every fight and managing the trainwreck of the mechanics of the kingdom system is any good. At least divinity was stable on release, I don't see how anyone can actually play crashfinder long enough to finish the game.
Pathfinder is a buggy ridden mess filled with balance issues and anyone familiar with the setting will spot the multiple problems in the game's design.
The only mongoloids who praise it are just the kind that bitterly defended PoE2 til the end.
Shit taste.
cope
I swear, I can smell you through your posts
it's probably the shit that comes with your taste
I just went all physical my first play through and found out apparently I was playing on easy mode. Knock down is just way too powerful.
>>what if we made a CRPG and turn character creation in DPS race
What in the actual literal fuck are you trying to say
Armor sucks.
