Looks great.

One thing I definitely liked about Witcher 3 - art/decorations.

I think it sucks, like everything else that wants to be Bladerunner but isn't. Still gonna play it though.

It's not bad . Kind of like the witcher 3 , semi realistic / cartoonish . Then again I've only seen Pacifica and the city center so I can't really say that the entire game will look ''good''

Its semi-future california, not Sci-fi fantasy Cyberpunk

Fuck CDPR for casualizing otherwise imaginative settings

It looks boring to me if i were to be honest

Pacifica and Watson
City center hasn't been shown yet. It's described as 'the heart of corporations, it is a cluster of neon and the quintessence of luxury' so it should be kino.

>dirtgirls
>drugs
>black market cybernetics
>sci-fi guns
>80's retro-future aesthetic cars
>leather jackets with the sleeves pushed up
>a dude getting his wetware fried by a malicious credit chip while you attempt to purchase a military-grade spiderbot from some transhumanist gang pad scumhole on behalf of a wealthy corporate interest
if you don't think that's the most cyberpunk shit ever then get the fuck out of my face for real

Ahh shit , I'm fucking stupid . Thank you for the correction .

Looks great

needs more random asian glyphs strewn about the place

Lopks great. Probably autist-kun just needs a few night-shots at the richest district to shut up.

This is Cyberpunk, not Blade Runner 2077. First movie aged like milk.

>First movie aged like milk
do you have ADHD as well?

too bright

An easy way to get board of an aesthetic is to have it overly consistent throughout the game. What do you want the homeless tents to have glowing neon lights on them?

Pretty cool. Why aren't you posting more screens?

I’m just getting a “this game is going to be a disappointment” vibe.

Like an April's Fools prank. That just kept going.

Attached: 1558041739469.gif (100x100, 719K)

don't forget the purple neon

I rate it a "couldn't make flashy night time setting work for 9th gen consoles" out of 10.

Attached: girl asks chihuahua to kill her.jpg (378x500, 43K)

I like it, deal with it.

Without being a contrarian hater, it's genuninely not fitting at all. It feels really out of place and rather something you would expect from a more comical/satirial and rather uplifting game. Also everything has this matt glaze look as if its entire world was made from the stuff they make Barbies and Kens with.
I'm usually a huge sucker for dystopian future games but this one leaves me completely unfazed. I sadly have to agree with all the memes about it looking like GTA V. It really looks like GTA or Saints Row to me.

Attached: 1309044001536.png (498x324, 18K)

children mad it isn't stereotypical/10

Think remember seeing some japanese glyphs and hearing japanese in the old e3 demo

But it -is- stereotypical and generic.

Looks amazing visually but I'm worried about how stilted the dialogue sounds. It's always hard to separate out shitty VA's performing good writing from good VA's performing shit writing, or even just shit VA's and writing, but the dialogue I've seen has made me pretty worried for everything extraneous to the visceral, mechanical components of the game.

I think it could really use one.

>its the future but everything looks 30 years older than current day

Cyperpunk is as cringe as steampunk

what a retarded thread
doesn't the 97363272 threads about how cyberpunk 2077 looks like GTA v, cod and dead rising answer you question?

>gee, I wonder why CDPR aren't blowing their marketing load 8 months from the release.

Yeah they already blew it all on Keanu Reeves.

woah....... cyberpunk....

kek

Nothing brings out the unrelenting autism of Yea Forums like this game does.

>wants to be bladerunner
they explicitly said the contrary

>I, too, also like CaliforniaPunk 2077™. How did you know?

Too lazy. I figure most people have already seen the latest screenshots.

Cyberpunk 2077™ truly says a lot about our society.

I think it's absolutely perfect for some Robocop conversion mods

Fucking sunlight! Why is it not like my Blade Runner?!

>rip liberty city from gta 4

>add neon signs everywhere

i amek cyberpubnk

Except for the dingy haze floating everywhere

has there any cop footage been shown yet?

Probably won't like this much, but I just hope it sells great so some Japanese Developers can start getting back on the cyberpunk train already. I need that Fantastical, retro-future Cyberpunk in my veins. Or just for someone to make Ghost In the Shell into an Open-World RPG

>rip los santos from GTA 5

They're synthetic palm trees.

unironically looking forward to streaming this in 4k

Attached: stadia_midnight_blue_and_ultra.jpg (1920x1080, 112K)

i fucking hate it, it looks like trash, even if they wanted a more sunny LA type of look they still did a shitty job, such a shame i was looking forward to the game but everytime they reveal or say something it gets worse, the game was at its best when all we had was a title

I liked the teaser by Platige Image too.

It's doing great

Attached: 15667511945100.png (1482x840, 2.89M)

lmao

Looks good and the environments are detailed. It does worry me though because this game sounds like it's going to absolutely rape CPUs and I don't want to upgrade yet but I want to play it on PC and not at shitty 720p or whatever it will be on my trashstation 4.

>this game sounds like it's going to absolutely rape CPUs
Why? It looks and plays like a previous gen game.

WE WANT THE POST AP ZOMBIE AUDIENCE

Attached: Deadpunk 5.jpg (1917x2154, 2.08M)

Post op tranny audience

Attached: 1566561856912.jpg (1024x669, 57K)

Looks like a downgraded version of GTA V.

Look at most other games which look like this and see how they perform e.g. assassins creed odyssey. All these added details like the ground clutter kill the CPU.

what's the difference

It literally looks on par with GTAV

Attached: ABB49D53-B5C5-43C4-9AFF-243D2871005D.jpg (922x1024, 145K)

The difference is GTA V has flying cars (unlike GTA 2077)

>I-IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE GTA V!!!! REEEEEEEEEEEEE CYBERPUNK IS SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE THAT!

Looks like shit. I will torrent it ;)

Attached: 1566588055549.jpg (500x500, 39K)

But that's outrun

What GTA mod is this

It's fine, they should show more nightime screenshots of the streets so the sunfags shut the fuck up but it's ok, ranges from cyberpunk to escape from LA from what I've seen

Those graphics look amazing.

>First movie aged like milk.
You must be fucking blind to think this. The first film is fucking stunning looking, even by todays standards

Was it so hard to add the fucking fog? Even fucking LA has smog in 2019 that literally makes the sunrise and set look like a nukes gone off. If they had some thick smog covering the whole city it'd look kino.

Why do devs do this? This is not what the sky looks like. Bloom, HDR, and god rays are some of the worst shit to ever happen to gaming.

Attached: 1549450219013.png (1536x720, 1.14M)

>2077

Look like 2027 to me

Note the difference in color pallate between the sunlight presented here and the sunny weather in GTA V

Read lore,by 2020 the smog decreased due to rampant tech improvement.
Hell around that year a nuke actually touched down at Night City and exploded all due to a corpo war and as of now we see no remains of the nuclear attack

Wait, what? Both games have buildings, tents and people in them! Rockstar should sue

Attached: mindblown.gif (500x375, 496K)

yeah, people hardly ever need respirators to go outdoors anymore too.

Posts like this make me increasingly suspicious some of the shitposting this game evokes here has to come from salty Rockstar employees, however odd it'd be they'd feel threatened by a completely different type of game with only superficial similarities.
If I want to play a crime-themed cinematic third-person open world action game with funny writing and exposition and world-building and minimal player agency outside of getting from A to B set in contemporary or era-themed settings I play GTA (and they're usually worth playing). Whereas 2077 is going to scratch literally a completely different itch, a cyberpunk FPS-RPG that plays more like classic DX (and incidentally what I've been wanting GTA to be more like since Vice City). This theory seems far-fetched even to me if it weren't for the fact Rockstar has probably thousands of employees some of which probably won't understand how the two games couldn't be more different.

Cars in 2077 drive on a type of bio-ethanol, so that only leaves dust storms due to droughts, forest fires, industrial farming and most of all the building industry (60% of global emissions) as causes of smog. But if you weren't expecting fog at all based on an alpha demo you simply jumped to conclusions too soon.

That's just mostly fog. Because it builds mood and sets tone primarily, and also because it can help to obscure distant LOD to help with detail-heavy scenes on consoles. You'll probably be able to disable most if not all of it on PC, still haven't seen a reason to turn off anything other than DOF and motion blur from any of the released trailers and screenshots though, and probably godrays since I prefer a few extra fps.

>i-i-it just a fog guys...

Lel

>This is not what the sky looks like
Looks like the sky in every 3rd world shithole I've been through. Overwhelming pollution and tropical weather are a real bitch when they combine.

>This is not what the sky looks like.
Maybe you should leave your house once in a while.

What do you mean cop footage?
You don't play as a cop dude, you are a solo.

no i mean cops in the game, not you playing as a cop

depending on where you go in night city you won't see cops, you will either see corpo cops (in the real nice corporate controlled areas) or none at all (in the psychopathic free fire zones.)

Imagine being this dense
Also

It's hard to tell from a video snapshot but yeah it's mostly fog/smog, can't tell if it's volumetric, then there's definitely some motion blur present, and HDR or bloom-emulated HDR is fairly standard. The compression is too bad to be able to see if there's CA but you can usually turn that off in almost every game that has it, on PC at least.

Feels the same as this.

>youtube.com/watch?v=MLBHr03Aj1s

I get that sunshine noir is a real thing, that California isn't Tokyo during a monsoon at night, but the problem is more this weird hyper-confident sonic the hedge hog vibe I am getting from the characters that feels out of place. In general characters in the cyberpunk genre are pretty worn down and miserable, not "A Big Dreamer". That sort of optimism seems far more out of place than anything in the art design.

I can appreciate the effort.

Attached: night city daylight.png (977x655, 100K)

>That sort of optimism seems far more out of place than anything in the art design.
Yeah, V is just too cheery all the time.

Attached: V_mirror.jpg (1200x800, 179K)

>we only fuck up the tone 90% of the time!

t.autismo magnifico

I hope they are paying you for your effort.

>Characters should be miserable all the time without any reason
I don't say this lightly but you just might have autism for real.

I hope that the social services place you in a mental care facility where you can get the help you need.

>Characters should not be tonally consistent with the genre that the game is named after

My issue isn't that there are moments of levity or brightness, but rather that they are handled like a sequel to Sunshine Overdrive.

Pathetic. What's your paypal? I will give you a dollar just for the effort.

Show me one scene from any trailer or demo where V acts like something out of sunshine overdrive.
And before you say "big dreamer," that's just him being sarcastic. If you thought for a second he was being even semi serious you really have an autism.

He wasn't being sarcastic, he was being ironic. Sarcasm would be if he meant the opposite of what he was saying, but he was deploying the term in a way it was not really intended to be used yet still congruent with terminology. Irony.

City of Dreams = Opportunity. Big Dreamer = He has big plans, is going to make his fortune.

Or he was dead serious but the city hasn't 'broken' him yet.

This. How are you just gonna go from this

Hey it's a modern "RP"G. You can still do anything. In fact you don't have to decide anything definitively. You can always respec your character to change its role instantly. And nothing you do prevents you from doing something else. Everyone can play every side mission and enjoy every build in one playthrough. If you want to be a cop, just create your character in a way that most resembles a cop build and then just don't do the side content that a cop character wouldn't do! See, role playing via self-imposed restriction. Who needs tons of specific content when you can just have generic content and then selectively choose to not engage with the portion that conflics with your character?

Too bad, they said way back in 2013 that the game won't be about being a cop or a psycho squad member

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Attached: 1539058035009.gif (600x400, 3.56M)

They said it was going to be a "personal story" so I assumed we'd have freedom to choose. I didn't expect the "personal story" to be "developers' own shitty forced personal story they want to tell for what is supposed to be -your- character".

Also back then we didn't know they removed all factions and classes from the tabletop version.

They are appealing to a more realistic Cyberpunk vibe, something that could happen in 50 years from now. Remember Looper? something like that.

youtube.com/watch?v=II8eKNV1RTE

Do you also believe in axe effect?

My expectations weren't even high.

I've heard that they're actually also going to be releasing a PnP RPG Cyberpunk game set in 2077. I wonder if that is also going to have rules against playing as the character you want? You know, a game that's like 2020, except with all the limitation of 2077 and no graphics?
>I roll athletics to escape through the window
>Sorry you can't do that. Our level designers didn't make that window interactable

Looks great.
fpbp

>Cops, medias, corps and rockers would all work completely different
>To have all classes in they would basically have to make content for 6 games
>hurrrrrrr my expectations weren't even high

I love it

I didn't expect medias or rockerboys but seeing the Psycho Squad and cops in the trailer I expected at least a joinable faction and side content, seeing how cop was a role in P&P too.

GOTTA HAVE THE SAME THREAD EVERYDAY

>wants to be Blade Runner
no

>I expected
>I assumed
I guess you're just retarded. Oh well.

No need to shill user. It's too late.

Originally, I was kind of frustrated with how sleek most of it looked, but with it being set in 2077, it's fine. I like thst it's a grittier version of Human Revolition.

Of course not. Video games are inherently limited by time, skill and money of the developers, PnP is limited by your imagination. Pull your head out of your ass.

>When I accidentally watched a trailer for a game called Ghost Runner and thought I was watching some ninja class gameplay for Cyberpunk 2077

>Ghost Runner
They couldn't have come up with a more generic name for their game even if they tried.

>Get told right at the beginning that the game wasn't going to be about being a cop or hunting psychos
>Keep expecting that it somehow is going to be just that because reasons.
>Devs tell you can't be cop in game
>Whine about it online
>Get told you're fucking retarded
>"STAPH SHILLING!!!"

Look

>barely can see the buildings behind because of heavy air pollution
How is this in any way similar to the Sunnypunk 2077?

ok you made me laugh, nice

Pretty cool.

Too bad, you’re an outlaw mercenary and you better fucking like it.
You want customization? Make your character a tranny.

Being told you're retarded is now shilling?
I guess that's the reason you see shills all around.

Something Cyberpunk related not being set at perpetual night with neon acting as the only source of light is like asking for a Noir movie to not be black and white with perpetual night and rain. It's half the visual appeal of the genre.

>he's still going
yikes

gta5 mod

>gta 5 but in a realistic depiction of los angeles

It looks good but based on how the witcher 3 was it's likely to look a lot better in action than as still frames or short video cuts. The detail in the witcher was in the animation of things like trees as well as the lighting and atmosphere. That's what made if feel more immersive visually.

Then again without so many trees around you won't get as much of that subtle effect as easily so we'll see if they can pull off something different in a strictly urban environment. The lighting is sure to be good though.

We are unfortunately actually in the real cyberpunk future so they and you are both right and also wrong.

good ass palm trees holy shit

I can't find a good cut of the original I like. The theatrical cut with the narration is garbage, the director's cut is weird and dumb, and none of the other cuts can agree on what font to use.

perfect

reminds me of the fifth element

Attached: lTTk2-GTGS9x.jpg (1240x620, 184K)

Too bad bootlicker. We'll be out there doing crimes and sticking it to the corporations while you'll sit inside seething.

You know, I'd say 5th element had the right aesthetic for proper cyberpunk with its portrayal of its world and technology and the people living in it. But thematically it's way too far off to work.

it works tho

crappy retrobait cyberpunk

Pretty much this. On top of what you mentioned, sound design can make or break game. Good sound design is an absolute necessity in building a believable atmosphere and can convey things to the player that might not even be visible. Unfortunately in Witcher 3 I felt like the sound design was a bit lacking specifically in Novigrad, it didn't sound busy enough so I'm hoping they'll nail it for this game. But things like the woods with the birds chirping, wind blowing, wolves howling in the distance and twigs snapping sounded great

>be a psycho squad member
You do know the members in that special task force are completely brainwashed and only follow commands?
It wouldn't work for an open world.
Best thing you can get is a DLC with a set of missions like SWAT series.

>the director's cut is weird and dumb
2deep4u. When that gymnast sex replicant started dancing I was like wow deep I really get the appeal.

it's not fog you fucking idiot it's overexposure

when was the last the time a hype train crashed so hard?

soulless

hopefully the game will still let us kill a bunch of degenerates including our own character

I was talking about the shit Riddley Scott added with the unicorn mostly, and his insistance on the "Deckard was a replicant!" headcanon when no one else from the writer of the original book to the writers for the movie to Harrison Ford playing the character, to literally anyone else agreed even made sense or worked for the story.

It crashed? To my understanding the lines to see the demo at Gamescom were staggeringly long.

not seeing so much in terms of art direction to be honest
it seems kinda bland overall

Attached: cat.jpg (728x971, 60K)

The music in witcher 3 was fantastic and made up for any flaws with the rest.

you have to understand, Yea Forums is out of touch with how people outside of this site think and still think this board is relevant to the industry and not just a tiny bubble easily ignored by devs and media as "stupid contrarian children that don't have money for games and pirate them anyway so they're not worth it".

I don't think you know what art direction means.

enlighten us

when are we gonna get a heavy metal cartoon type cyberpunk game?

Here’s your (You), mongoloid

As soon as you make it. Start coding faggot.

It's a broad description of all the design elements of a piece of media visual, audio, etc.

Meaning: You can't simply state "It doesn't have much of one" because that is as meaningless and vague as saying "There is weather outside".

I and others in this thread have posted details about specific aspects of the art direction, comparing it to other games by other people as well as other games by CDPR. I pointed out how there are elements that made W3's style more immersive through its animation of trees and foliage and how that would not translate easily to a strictly urban setting as easily, and another user commented that W3's sound design was not really the best and that may carry over here.

You said "It is bland."

QED, you don't know what art direction means.

good, deusex and gits set in california, I would love it to be set somewhere else though but california will do.

I’m playing the shit out of this game. Just like Witcher 3 is game of the decade.

Attached: 3F251DE2-6A66-4C34-B098-3C4285A0A62A.jpg (366x364, 30K)

ok its done in 4 days
it will be GOTY
it will be minimum 40 hours long if you rush the story with TASbot
it will be graphically competent but only enough to not bloat the game
it will be cheap and on all the platforms in can be on
YOU will personally be credited as the fucking big penis man of the internet
and you will get a free copy

did you CHIM it in from the future?

The whole trend of retro 80s futurism has infected a bunch of internet addicted kids in their early to mid 20s. They now want the game to look EXACTLY like that. the fact that it doesn't annoys them to no end.

Basically, vaporwave faggots are being faggots.

I had a bigger problem with how the movie doesn't follow from scene to scene. Like the director just adds shit for the fuck of it.
>guy that murders a cripple and gouges eyes out is meant to be very sympathetic in the next scene.

It's bland. The texture work doesn't stick out and could pass for any other open world game this generation. It's like each shot uses the impression of its scenes as set dressing but refuses to tell a tale deeper than "oh this is the shanty town" and "oh this is the busy cyber streets." It's going to be a game severely lacking in landmarks and after its release window passes I can see it going the way of RDR2, not a word to be heard on it.

I’m getting a severe sense that you are a nigger

If thats Cyberpunk then so is GTA, MAFIA, Saints Row

You can barely even see the fucking characters you mong. Is their car also heavily polluted, or is it just your brain?

needs more clutter/set dressing and textures/materials look way too clean for it to be dystopian or run-down

Correct. Roy is a murderer who is desperate for life and he is sympathetic.

>Why do devs do this?
Do what? Go outside?

Were tf is all the technology? Guess i have a wrong idea of cyberpunk

I'm sure that cripple was also desperate.

There are some movies that are saved from their directors by others working on it or by executive order forcing them to change or remove bad ideas. This was a movie that needed that, but where the executives ordered more bad ideas on top.

So now there's no real good cut of what could be a fairly good movie.

I think it looks good. They told in an interview that they have actual urban planners on the team designing the city so the city will probably feel authentic and believable if nothing else.

Probably in a car.

Pure classic Grand Theft Auto. You don't need any other words to describe this game.

What are the endings like.

Attached: 1461947229039.gif (360x270, 1.63M)

Kek, nice.

>Fuck CDPR for casualizing otherwise imaginative settings
WHY ISN'T THEIR SETTING EXACTLY THE SAME AS EVERY OTHER CYBERPUNK SETTING WAAAAAAAAAA HOW CAN THEY BE SO UNORIGINAL

So you thought they were unoriginal when they showed the first trailer? And now you think they're original when it looks like GTAV?

Attached: 1566651459283.jpg (1920x1080, 425K)

But user... 30 years in the future is 2049

>trailer
teaser.
There is a difference

Tards in this thread. Blade Runner was heavily influenced by the immigration of asians in that universe. This was motivated by a fear people had during 80s, where places like Japan and China would have a great influence economically and socially, especially on the West coast.

It's clear Cyberpunk 2077 is more influenced by a more contemporary perspective of future american. Which is influenced by Blacks and Mexicans. The result of which is everything from poverty to organised gangs that look like shit.

They called it a teaser trailer lol

Is the entire map supposed to look like that user?

woah so deep
good excuse to make a cyberpunk game look like gtav

>homeless subhumans camping on the road
So this means I can go on a homeless killing spree?

honestly I dont like it. I do think it looks like GTA. I am also a Deus ex faggot to the core and hate open world games.
Still ill check it out since its a single player sci fi game and those are few and far between. Also I might not like the "style" it seem quite well made.

Attached: lmao.png (442x493, 267K)

It's set in the same state you spaz.

Nah, even in Cyberpunk Japan is the country with the biggest influence.

>it's going to absolutely rape CPUs
>it will be on my trashstation 4
if it can run on any of the consoles then it cant be overly CPU heavy. That is one place that all consoles always have had gimped shitty specs.
Also running in lower resolution in a CPU bound heavy game would only put even more strain on the CPU. Increasing the resolution and forcing the GPU to work harder to lower the workload on the CPU would ironically improve the gaming experience if you have a bad CPU.

>that means it should look the same
realism above everything eh zoomer?

>assassins creed odyssey
shitty engine with shitty coding. Also really bad implantation of AI would forces the CPU to be under constant load.
>ground clutter kill the CPU
no. Geometry = GPU.

The state has a history of Mexican mutt bullshit, so of course a game set in a future dystopia game is going to capitalise on that. It makes no sense for contemporary audiences. Do you want it to be raining all the time in California? You do understand Blade Runner was set within one night, right?

Uninspired.

I wouldn't give a single fuck if it didn't resemble real life California in any way whatsoever, would you? Do you really think anyone would?
They just made it look like GTAV because GTAV became the best selling game of all time.

Attached: cyberpunk-2077-trailer.jpg (1920x1080, 313K)

As a spic 3rd worlder, my shithole looks more cyberpunk than that game and here people is not even trying

Holy fuck you are mad that they shown only Pacifica and Westbrook so far.
You want your neo-noir shit?
The City Center exists.

They should implement Vulkan for this game 2bh.

>Westbrook
Watson

>The City Center exists.
what's it look like?

Attached: CP2077.webm (1280x720, 2.96M)

That's still Watson

It doesn't look that futuristic, it looks more modern imo. Even the upcoming season of Westworld doesn't look like it will scratch that itch. But my real complaint is that it simply doesn't look that creative, interesting, or __fun__

they wont. As much as I loved the Witcher 1, 2 and 3 they were all really badly programmed and "clonk"ware. Technically cd projekt red is miles behind and even the Witcher 3 was build on old tried and tested tech and techniques. Not that it matters much to me as what they lack in skill they make up for in creating interesting worlds, great atmosphere and they use what tech they have very well.

>The City Center exists.
we haven't seen it yet have we? how do you know it's not more gtav shit?

DOOM fell for this meme and it did nothing

The cyberpunk aesthetic was made in the 80's and we're pretty much at the point where the aesthetic is actually possible and exists in many parts of the world. That's a flaw in cyberpunk that no one can make up for. It looks more modern but only like a decade or two, like there's different fashions and some current tech used in design and ads has aged a little.

I don't know what you expected.

>City Center: Night City's biggest pride, this is the heart of corporations, tallest skyscrapers. the cluster of neon, and the quintessence of luxury
Doesn't sound like GTAV to me.

>I have no imagination so other people must not either.

>that passing by car is actually the notVeyron from the neokitsch poster
>it doesn't look like veyron at all in the actual game
>it's some shitty futuristic neo classical car
I was greatly disappointed when I noticed.

>it did nothing
lmao what?

It's the most advanced district and the 2013 teaser is most likely from it.

Refer to above

Cyberpunk 2077 doesn't sound like Grand Theft Auto V either, but here we are

Attached: 1566693538140.jpg (3840x2160, 320K)

This game will be GOTY, no doubt. Hopefully it isn't too short.

Some of it looks cool, most of it looks uninspired but they hired some cheap concept artists

>that luxury glass house on the waterfalls
>we're stuck in one single shitty fucking apartment in shithole watson for the entirety of the game
t-thanks

hope we will be able to kill cyber cheetahs

There's a character editor, right? We dont have to play as either the mopey basedboy or meme hair chick?

I have plenty of IMAGURNATION, I just don't believe CDPR is going for cyberpunk aesthetics anymore

There is. It's barebones though.

>cyberpunk aesthetics
No such thing.
Cyberpunk is defined as "high tech, low life". Aesthetics is not part of that definition.

Attached: 1566741301445.jpg (750x1225, 486K)

1 year later people still think this is cyberpunk genre the game aka blade runner in Yea Forums mind.

Attached: 1542160605490.jpg (480x472, 28K)

Was the game even worked on by CDPR at this point?

whatever you say drone
aesthetics is not part of the definition of "shit" either but shit aesthetics is still a thing

I like it. the clothes look cool and it looks interactive as fuck.
Setting is what I would expect from the setting seeing as the original 2020 books says Night City is based in California.

Attached: a night with trauma team.png (901x1196, 293K)

They pulled it off in the rest of the city fine. I don't think you understand the themes of cyberpunk if you think the smooth and polished new tech of the corporate center of the city is the epitome of the genre and not something meant to contrast the more punk portions of the city.

Isnt this still literally from the noncanon, fuck the viewers the production studio wanted it, ending?

It's great. But unfortunatelly I can already tell from the screenshots that the game's gonna have terrible draw distance.

No, it was outsourced cgi trailer announcing that they got the IP rights and they are searching for people who want to work on it.

It's too stuck in the 80s.

They also said they were aiming for the game to look as close to that trailer as possible

Interactive how?

That's not a definition. That's a common description.

And because one cyberpunk author was inspired by Shibuya, that means all cyberpunk has to be like it? Just like all fantasy looks like Lord of the Rings, and all sci-fi like Star Trek?
Also, I take it it's never sunny there, right? It's always moody gloom.
Furthermore, what does Gibson have to do with the boardgame, or the video game based on it?
>no argument
away with you, you mongoloid crackbaby.

Attached: tokyo-japan-akihabara-street-view-on-a-sunny-springtime-day-nicolasmccomber.jpg (900x608, 252K)

Looks like you can do a lot in your room from the light settings to the interesting armory you have in that closet.
I also love how you go through every upgrade impressively. It's damn impressive how you literally watch as the Doc puts in your new eye.

>2077 won't be a game about police hunting cyber-psychos,
>There are lots of cyber games around, but there's not a lot of punk in those games," he said. We want to put more punk into ours. We do not want to make a dark and hopeless world. We are not doing Blade Runner. It will be full of rock and roll.
Sure they did user, both quotes are from 2013 btw

Fair point, find me a proper definition from an authoritative source that makes mention of specific aesthetics.

>Posts like this make me increasingly suspicious some of the shitposting this game evokes here has to come from salty Rockstar employees
Literal schizophrenia. Stopped reading right there

>It's damn impressive how you literally watch as the Doc puts in your new eye.
That's quest-mandatory though, isn't it? They might not do that for every upgrade. Would be cool if they did, though.

Still looks more than cyberpunk than 2077 aka modern LA, shit eating drone.

all cyberpunk should look like blade runner or ghost in the shell

Attached: 1529206266840.jpg (1080x844, 93K)

not the user but what's the point of this discussion if the game is adapting specific world from source material not some vague cyberpunk aesthetics understanding which today means memerunner.

Attached: 1548562109291.jpg (979x2284, 686K)

I prefer it to look like the first trailer instead of GTAV

Attached: 1566479450315.jpg (1936x1332, 606K)

No I meant the cheesy 1980s aesthetic

fucking laptops in this game look 20 years old

Well judging that 95% of 2077 threads are made by mainly one shizo shitposter my opinion doesn't matter.

What happened to the fag who kept posting his horsefaced altered carbon waifu?
He used to be in every cyberpunk thread.

>Cyberpunk 2077 trailer represents the level of in-game graphics we are aiming for
I remembered wrong, they meant technical graphics lol

they'll probably add a "Press x to skip cutscene" type of thing.

I don't know, I had a break for some time from cyberpunk threads, but it seems him, user spamming his cyberpunk game and 'they didn't show straight v' autist are gone.

I guess Judge Dredd isn't cyberpunk either now, you microcephalic ape?
Considering the source material isn't particularly visual, there's considerable amount of leeway when adapting it into a more visual format. Besides, the boardgame is set in 2020, isn't it? 57 years is a lot of time for things to change.
And then there's the fact that adaptation doesn't have to adhere to the source material in every single detail. Furthermore, the art for the board game and all related material wasn't done by a single artist, meaning there is no set style to begin with. I guess you could make an argument that there is one in Pondsmith's mind, but like I said before, it's 2077, not 2020, so some changes are a given, and besides, he doesn't seem to dislike what cdpr are doing.

Attached: mega city one.jpg (1856x795, 101K)

Cyberpunk ≠ 80s aesthetic. But Cyberpunk 2020/2077 does. If it were a new IP launched today and they still made it 80s retro-futuristic, that'd be cringe. Now, it's just a legacy.

Dredd at least has the cyberpunk atmosphere which can't be said about 2077

Attached: 1566520493856.jpg (2500x1071, 1.71M)

>it doesn't look futuristic enough!
Pic related is New York 57 years ago.

Absolute trash

Continue. Atmosphere expressed thrgough what, exactly? Because the city in the movie looks a lot closer to modern day cities than 2077, and also looks nothing like the source material.

Attached: mega-city-one.jpg (926x654, 85K)

I think the devs played way too much GTA5. It looks so much like modern day LA that it doesn't feel like a strange new world. Needs more mega skyscrapers and pollution so thick it blocks a lot of sunlight

>needs more pollution
Gotta rewrite the 2020 lore then.

Hello again, Ghostrunner dev. Advertising is against the rules.

Attached: wieczmin3.webm (960x540, 631K)

>Atmosphere expressed thrgough what, exactly?
Dreary weather + megastructures
Source material looks like shit

So it's not cyberpunk because it shows a world where, despite the abundance of futuristic technology, a lot of people still live at the bottom of society due to rampant crime, corruption, class divide and other factors, it's cyberpunk if it's gloomy and has tall buildings? You could've just said you were retarded in the beginning, instead of wasting time you know.

Attached: cyberpunk2077.jpg (1276x854, 183K)

I don't mind that it's sunny like a lot of people seem to, but what bothers me is how open and empty it is. It really wouldn't take a lot of extra work to extrude up the buildings and make them extremely tall. Or even have enormous ones in the background that you can never get to. I want to feel like a small ant in a valley of colossal structures, thats what cyberpunk means to me. The Fifth Element got it right

I only mentioned atmosphere, calm down drone.
2077 doesn't have cyberpunk atmosphere, it has GTAV atmosphere

Stay mad, retard

Windows 7?

Behold, retard, I've brought you cyberpunk.

Attached: Cyberpunk-not cyberpunk.jpg (1781x2258, 1.63M)

>what we wanted
>shitty
>what we got
>not shitty
? ? ? ?

It looks objectively like shit and only a CD Projekt drone would try to pretend otherwise.

Genuinely shit, the way it looks was the biggest thing that killed my hype.

>blue night is cyberpunk
wrong
>sunny modern california is GTA clone
correct

I'll tell you after I finish it. A single picture rarely encapsulates an entire game.

There's nothing cyberpunk about it, other than it being dystopic.

If you told me this was modded GTAV I wouldn't bat an eyelid. GTAV even has a similar looking car.

Fucking same user, exactly what I wanted from day 1.
Now it's nothing but an action adventure quipfest where you're forced to play a mercenary, literally all of my interest is gone.

It's shit

So far we have
>High tech low life
>Literally cybernetics sold on the black market everybody has them
>City looks like a hellhole to live in
>Cooperations control everything
>Atmospheric at day and night

BUT SUN

Just like when my father the Emir of the Seventh House of Jajaal lets me drive his testarossa through the streets of Dubai. It is so pleasant to spit on the laborers as I do, but it must be considered how long to leave my windows rolled down

The colors look really bland, its like its a frostbite game. Everything has this light brownish/blueish tint. If they get rid of that, it will be great.

I like how that's just a picture of what California looks like right now.

I'll see myself out.

>dirtgirls
Isn't that just slang for a girl who's never left Earth? It's pretty much calling her an Earth girl in a somewhat derogatory way. There doesn't seem to be any real meaning to labeling so many NPCs with that term.

Looks like GTA 6.

Looks like fun in the sun.

funny enough this is un-ironically what black desert online UI looks like

In mike pondsmiths universe a dirtgirl or dirtboy is a person without any cybernetic augmentations

Maybe pride, cheerfulness, and optimism goeth before the fall? V in the second trailer is outright traumatized and too emotionally distraught to socialize. Like is pointing out.

That sort of thing could help the main character to have an actual arc.

where's the fingerless gloves meter?

It just looks like real life california.

That poster is actually just concept art edited together. That same car picture can be seen as an in-game car advertisement in the 40 minute demo. Pic related.

Neomilitarism and Kitsch posters can be seen in-game as movie posters for Bushido 3 and Bushido 5.

Altered Cuckbon.

its shit

lol that retarded ch-47 flying car. why are artists so goddamn stupid all the fucking time

Where is the car in the right image?
Also they still have time to polish models and add variety to cars.

I just want CDPR to release a gameplay at night on the richier area of night city so Yea Forums can finally shut the fuck up because it's impossible to discuss this game here

Actually all the art they've shown was made before the first trailer(not the teaser) came out. How do i know this? Easy, you can see one of the images of that series as a movie poster in the trailer.

Attached: trailer.jpg (1708x1136, 514K)

Kitsch as Bushido 3

Replaced with the Yaiba Kusanagi bike for the poster.
But I'm not talking about that car anyway. I was talking about the notVeyron from here Also here's Kitsch poster with the 6 wheeled Cadillac.

Coping. Veyron is gone. Replaced by this abomination

>tonal change
Emotional tone is impacted by the dead bodies and a woman on her knees with a gun to her head.

But there are more artificial lights, literal darkness, and grimy retro futuristic buildings all around. So you want samey buildings all around at all times and you hate the Sun. Got it. Or would it still feel cyberpunk to you if you saw a city like that during the day?

nothing that can't be fixed by modding

Attached: _v_ mods Cyberpunk 2077.webm (480x360, 2.1M)

I've never seen bladerunner, what's the best cut to watch?

I like it a lot, it reminds me of Snowcrash and the Dredd reboot. Anyone else get those vibes.

The one where the main character turns out to be a tranny.

I bought it.
I'll play it.
I'll enjoy it.
And there's nothing you can do about it.

Attached: 1511210570959.jpg (232x293, 11K)

I see dancing here. Not sure if they're holograms tho.

The aesthetic reminds me a lot of lower budget trashy Cyberpunk action flicks you’d rent from the video store, like Hardware and Nemesis. CP has always kinda been caught between looking like a VHS rental sci-fi schlock flick and a Hajime Sorayama painting. I’d be more preferential to the grimy industrial end of things than the glossy chrome side.

Comrade Dyatlov, the plebsimoter is reading 3.6, but that’s as high as it goes

I think it's absolutely awesome so far and I'm laughing at plebs who formed their understanding of cyberpunk as a setting from whatever scraps modern popculture has fed them.

I think the city itself looks fine. But I'm sure the NPCs will be more like Witcher 3, rather than Elder Scrolls or Gothic. In those you can talk to basically anybody, but in Witcher 3 most NPCs are just decoration. I'm still left waiting for somebody to do a similar setting with a Gothic approach

Witcher 3 approach is more realistic. In real life you're not going to walk up to someone, telepathically know who they are, and strike up a conversation out of the blue.

Honestly why do RPGs need every NPC to have floating names anyway

2077 isnt really that far into the future, idk what people were expecting

The combat looked like fucking ass and the more I see of it the less interesting it gets. It also looks less gritty and lived in than I had hoped.

Are those skyscrapers floating

But you'll be able to shoot them at least, right?

It's actually 2077 in a universe where 2010 had sci-fi technology. Game looks fine though. One thing I don't understand is why they chose to set it fifty years after the P&P game. Looks more like Cyberpunk 2030 than Cyberpunk 2077. Not complaining, just makes me think that they only kept the date as a plot point due to the name being spread around so much prior to development.

I can walk up to someone and ask them for directions or something. In that sense I think Morrowind actually did it pretty well. It looked pretty encyclopedic, but you basically had a list of things to ask about, and then they'd tell you what they know. And occasionally there might be some NPC specific dialogue

Nemesis is an absolute gem of a movie.

I don't know why they're so unwilling to just show us some free roam gameplay at night. I'm guessing they're saving it for some crazy reveal? I just can't explain it.

I honestly believe the game looks good, and the little we've seen on the city looks serviceable in regards to the Cyberpunk setting, but they just haven't showed what the people clearly want. It's not the shitty slums, it's the cool rainy high-tech city with cool colors, as cheesy as it sounds.

It's supposed to go to 10:22 not 10:02

>So you want samey buildings all around at all times and you hate the Sun.
>Except I haven't said that at all and you're putting words in my mouth.
You want it to be dark at all times. You want all the buildings to have that dystopian cyberpunk aesthetic with neon lights and you want those buildings closed in around you at pretty much all times to make it feel claustrophobic and imposing.

It's everything you wanted, I just put it in slightly different words.

I like the same aesthetic you do. I just realize that in a city that is supposed to be somewhat realistic it's not all going to conform to that specific aesthetic. I want a good setting more than I want a constant emotional tone to the aesthetic.

>lack of blue filter = anemic
Yeah, nah. Watch the director's cut.

the director's cut removes too many scenes. ridley scott is a bad director and his only good movies were flukes

His Director's Cut of Alien is odd too. Added a gold tint to some scenes for whatever reason. The egg chamber scene was neat but I can see why they cut it, didn't really fit the pacing

You said that I said I wanted "samey buildings all around at all times" you stupid fucking retard. I don't. I want building variation and have said NOTHING about wanting the same buildings around me.
Also when I say dark, I do not necessarily mean literally dark you inbred fuck. I want the place to look dystopian dark. I don't mind if it lights up at times so long as it maintains the aesthetic. It doesn't. I'm rewatching the gameplay reveal and the city looks too clean and and not industrial enough. It doesn't give the feeling of sonder or feel as overbearing as it should.

Everybody's making fun of you incel.

Yea Forums doesn't think

those are grapes

find me a visual for gripes smartass

>this is what you post when you know you've been proven wrong

If you don't want the buildings to be "samey", then they're not all going to be aesthetically consistent, stupid. They're not all going to be industrial, they're not all going to have neon, they're not all going to be tall and close in together. They're not all going to be gritty and with garbage and graffiti by the ground level.

Even if I allow that you want some variation along a consistent theme this will lead to neighborhoods often being similar because they have a similar aesthetic design and tone regardless of location. This leads to them feeling samey regardless and for locations to blend in causing players to feel more lost and claustrophobic but also less inclined to explore or have anything stand out to them. Although I admit a game designer could get around that by being very clever and having a very stand out location surrounded by cyberpunk dystopian background.

You're seeing a work in progress that hasn't yet shown you every area in the city. The scavenger hideout and the Maelstrom gang area from the demo look lived in and trashy enough.

This leads to them feeling samey regardless and for locations to blend in causing players to feel more lost and claustrophobic but also less inclined to explore or have anything stand out to them. Although I admit a game designer could get around that by being very clever and having a very stand out location surrounded by cyberpunk dystopian background.
If you don't think you can have variation within an aesthetic then you are completely fucking retarded. But I don't think you actually believe taht, you're just saying this because I called you out about you being a retard and now you're just trying to save face. Which might actually be worse.

>You're seeing a work in progress that hasn't yet shown you every area in the city. The scavenger hideout and the Maelstrom gang area from the demo look lived in and trashy enough.
I literally just told you I was watching the demo. Those places don't look properly grimy at all fuckwit.

Attached: 1555193396991.gif (500x270, 1016K)

You already said that you fuckin' sneed.

Attached: image.jpg (975x600, 485K)

Except that's a different poster, dumbass.

Damn thanks, I wish I had a gog account.
I'm not excited for this game at all, judging by what a shitty glorified mmo-movie their last game has been. Setting just seems to be the least worrying thing by far. You can't see past all that sun, I get it, if the only thing you've seen so far are cars.

>>YES I want it claustrophobic, gritty and dark
>it doesn't have to be
>it doesn't have to be
>it doesn't have to be
>If you don't think you can have variation within an aesthetic then you are completely fucking retarded.
Then you should love a game that has variation and not every building has to enforce a constant dystopian cyberpunk theme in every single way. Your complaint is stupid. Confirmed.

>I literally just told you I was watching the demo. Those places don't look properly grimy at all fuckwit.
And I just told you that you were wrong, fuckwit. Anyone can look at it and see trash, dead bodies, blood stains, stains, cracks in the walls, damaged wallpaper, dirt, graffiti, and so forth. Well anyone except a deluded retard, I guess.

I almost thought you had a point. I was beginning to think you just had demanding taste and you wanted it to be more aesthetically in theme but you were saying it wrong and you wanted some outdoor areas to feel better detailed. But no, you're just an autistic brainlet.

whoa guys a game takes inspiration from the second in the country? Rockstar owns Los Angeles's sky they need to sue ASAP

>Then you should love a game that has variation and not every building has to enforce a constant dystopian cyberpunk theme in every single way. Your complaint is stupid. Confirmed.
I want artistic variation but I want a level of consistency, retard.

>And I just told you that you were wrong, fuckwit. Anyone can look at it and see trash, dead bodies, blood stains, stains, cracks in the walls, damaged wallpaper, dirt, graffiti, and so forth. Well anyone except a deluded retard, I guess.
There's some but not enough you dumb cunt. The floors are too clean, nothing looks worn and it looks too in order. It doesn't look like a run down gang hideout that they've entered, it looks like a very generic environment. You've never been anywhere properly run down, have you?

>I almost thought you had a point. I was beginning to think you just had demanding taste and you wanted it to be more aesthetically in theme but you were saying it wrong and you wanted some outdoor areas to feel better detailed. But no, you're just an autistic brainlet.
When did I not want outdoor areas to feel better detailed, retard? I literally said I want variation you cocksucking faggot. You speak like a nigger and you have to resort to points that I did not make to get anywhere.

Pol devs are based and support piracy. They will just be happy if you play their game. In Poland gaming was built on piracy.

That's not the same car

Yes it is. Screencap my post.

>he doesn't know that the city is vertical
>he doesn't know that the place shown in the 2013 teaser is deep into the city

Attached: ovc3m6u0xo311.jpg (4862x1952, 740K)

The driving in the demo looks very boaty and unappealing.

>I want artistic variation but I want a level of consistency, retard.
There is a level of aesthetic theme that is consistent despite a variety of buildings, retard. That's why your complaint is retarded, you retard. See, if you weren't a retard you would have written something like 'I like some variety but I want the aesthetic to hammer home the theme more often with more grime and more closed in areas to evoke an imposing sense of claustrophobia'.

>There's some [grime] but not enough you dumb cunt.
And like a dumb cunt you didn't say that, you wrote, "Those places don't look properly grimy at all". AT ALL, retard. Simply say you want more grime then, fuckwit, rather than be wrong as fuck and cranky when you get proven wrong.

>When did I not want outdoor areas to feel better detailed, retard?
You misunderstand, retard. I said I thought maybe you were going to make a reasonable point like that. It's entirely possible to argue for what you want in a way that's consistent and reasonable. However I realized you're an unreasonable retard and you fail at doing that. So fuck off.

>actually believing this bullshit image
what a retard lol

>There is a level of aesthetic theme that is consistent despite a variety of buildings, retard. That's why your complaint is retarded, you retard. See, if you weren't a retard you would have written something like 'I like some variety but I want the aesthetic to hammer home the theme more often with more grime and more closed in areas to evoke an imposing sense of claustrophobia'.
I said there can be consistency among variation, asshat. You were the one that said
>If you don't want the buildings to be "samey", then they're not all going to be aesthetically consistent, stupid.

>And like a dumb cunt you didn't say that, you wrote, "Those places don't look properly grimy at all". AT ALL, retard. Simply say you want more grime then, fuckwit, rather than be wrong as fuck and cranky when you get proven wrong.
Holy FUCK it is a HYPERBOLE YOU STUPID FUCKING AUTIST. Go back to English class you shitsucking cuck. And you haven't proven jack shit wrong, you dumb piece of shit.

>You misunderstand, retard. I said I thought maybe you were going to make a reasonable point like that. It's entirely possible to argue for what you want in a way that's consistent and reasonable. However I realized you're an unreasonable retard and you fail at doing that. So fuck off.
I literally said I want variation you cumguzzling cockcleaner.

It's ironic that you'd talk about variation at all when almost every insult you've hurled here at me is "retard."

Hmmm I think I can see some sort of a "dam"/wall in this webm at 00:04

That would be really cool

Attached: 1564090293452.webm (1280x720, 2.95M)

If you didn't tell me what game it is I'd never guess it's cyberpunk.

If I wanted to see this "artstyle" I'd take a trip to LA

>says something wrong as fuck
>Holy FUCK it is a HYPERBOLE YOU STUPID FUCKING AUTIST.
You're not ever wrong, you're just OBVIOUSLY exaggerating for effect, riiiiiiight. Sure sure, retard. You're always just pretending to be retarded.

>It's ironic that you'd talk about variation at all when almost every insult you've hurled here at me is "retard."
I'm not a video game for you to play, retard. LMAO

>I literally said I want variation you cumguzzling cockcleaner.
Yes, eventually. You literally said:
>claustrophobic, gritty and dark city which fits the tone of a dystopian cyberpunk setting
vs
>generic looking street
and:
>>YES I want it claustrophobic, gritty and dark
>Yeah, I want a dystopian cyberpunk theme like the one that was advertised. There's nothing wrong with that. Kys CDPR shill.
I said: "I like the same aesthetic you do. I just realize that in a city that is supposed to be somewhat realistic it's not all going to conform to that specific aesthetic. I want a good setting more than I want a constant emotional tone to the aesthetic".
And you responded by being an angry little retard and you got upset that I insulted you back, you poor angry little retard. I pointed out that you could have cleared up our disagreement easily and politely, it's not my fault you wanted to be an angry little retard.

Now stop being such a retard, follow this simple instruction and fuck off.

How is that cyberpunk?

It's literally just modern LA.

Attached: 190606095540-06-la-homelessness-exlarge-169.jpg (780x438, 67K)

>tfw real life is more cyberpunk than CP2077
This is something Mike said too. Back when he was writing CP2013/2020 some of the tech we have today is even more intrusive and impressive than some of the things he imagined back in the 80s.
China especially is a full on dystopian shithole oppressed through technological means.

Attached: 1563174487664.webm (720x720, 2.99M)

But I thought cyberpunk was mainly about the aesthetic(ie Bladerunner)?

>wahhh my trashy cyberpunk is not like adult animes for adults such as myself what am i going to do
>wahhh it's not going to be all moody, silent and monochrome like lain or texnolyze
>also mixes up zoomerex into it for some reason
Damn.

How can people stand living in this 3rd world shitole?

This game is gonna be really good after about 5 years of people working on mods for it.

2077 is based on Pondsmith CP2020.

It's not all about aesthetic. If it was, Blade Runner would be cyberpunk, which it isn't.

How many of the IPs in this thread actually believe this vs how many are just shitposting this logic? Bladerunner isn't cyberpunk

Here's the map from the Pen n Paper RPG.

Attached: nightcitymap.jpg (2698x1614, 730K)

Blade Runner is cyberpunk you dumb trannies.

>literally a trannie movie
???

>Blade Runner would be cyberpunk, which it isn't.

Attached: 1560651243746.jpg (216x198, 17K)

It's not.

>guys, blade runner is cyberpunk because it's neon and darkness in the future!

Dilate.

Sew your dick back on.

This.

Yes the aesthetic is an integral part of cyberpunk, without it there is no explicit difference between cyberpunk and just a dystopic sci-fi. It's what makes cyberpunk recognizable.

I know reading books is for gaylords but please try.

Cyberpunk IS dystopic sci fi. The difference being that cyberpunk is set within a near future.

>The difference being that cyberpunk is set within a near future.
This has absolutely nothing to do with cyberpunk as a genre, you are fixated on some particular piece of media and acting like it's all that matters.

>on some particular piece of media
Bladerunner isn't cyberpunk.

Didn't ask, kike boy. Fuck you.

Attached: image.jpg (720x719, 164K)

>You're not ever wrong, you're just OBVIOUSLY exaggerating for effect, riiiiiiight. Sure sure, retard. You're always just pretending to be retarded.
Holy shit this is fucking elementary school levels of English knowledge. I'm very sorry that it wasn't perfectly fucking crystal clear to your autistic ass that you couldn't pick up on sarcasm. Make you feel any better? Want me to sing you a fucking nursery rhyme and make the boo-boos go away?

>I'm not a video game for you to play, retard. LMAO

>get called out on shit bantz
>lmao im not a video game silly goose

>I said: "I like the same aesthetic you do. I just realize that in a city that is supposed to be somewhat realistic it's not all going to conform to that specific aesthetic. I want a good setting more than I want a constant emotional tone to the aesthetic".
>And you responded by being an angry little retard and you got upset that I insulted you back, you poor angry little retard. I pointed out that you could have cleared up our disagreement easily and politely, it's not my fault you wanted to be an angry little retard.

I have no problem with some changes/occasional breaks in the aesthetic, but what I've seen tells me it's going to be nothing like originally advertised.
>trying to act like you were nice and fair when you were purposely putting words into my mouth to make me look worse
That's why I started insulting you, dumbass. Don't act like I didn't tell you to go fuck yourself for a reason.

>I pointed out that you could have cleared up our disagreement easily and politely
This is Yea Forums
If you don't want shit, don't start shit.

Attached: weegi - disdain.jpg (640x720, 200K)

Nice comeback. Took you all of two hours to come up with it.
Doesn't change the fact that your said
>You already said that you fuckin' sneed.
When it wasn't them that had said that previously

Bitch shut the fuck up faggot, you're fuckin' done. Get off my site.

Attached: image.jpg (1115x625, 148K)

Couldn't be further from the truth.

>fire isn't hot
You can stop posting, bud.

Attached: 1559301757464.png (485x537, 281K)

Water isn't wet, it makes other things wet.

>fire isn't hot, it makes other things hot.

You did not provide any argument. Bladerunner isn't cyberpunk and water isn't wet. It's water.

>previous advertisements
This?

Scroll down you fucking retard.

>you didn't provide any argument
Why the fuck would i? You are crying insanities and expecting people to argue with you? You're fucking retarded, Blade Runner is THE quintessential depiction of cyberpunk. You want to try and claim that the defining piece of media isn't cyberpunk go ahead and try to, but don't just expect anyone to take what you say as granted without you giving any rhyme or reason why it isn't. Moron.

Attached: Blade_Runner1.jpg (1900x1044, 2.24M)

listen you goddamned stupid fucks
this is what poverty looks like
shitty street hovels and shacks
cyberpunk is about showcasing extreme inequality
dont fucking whine when the poverty it shows you isn't what you want because MUH AESTHETIC
fuck you
fuck all of you

Now look at the image above your post.

>THE quintessential depiction of cyberpunk
It's not cyberpunk. There's nothing punk in there. There's no rebelling society, there's no class warfare. There's no focus on high tech low life. Blade Runner is a noir movie about a guy in the future hunting androids that look like humans, and he's not sure if he's an android or not.

What about this cyberpunk?

The difference is that cyberpunk deals with the societal troubles of said dystopian future or a transaction to one, such as ai, cybernization, job market crisis, new lows for degeneracy, etc. Dystopian scifi doesn't have to. Alien is set in a very dystopian and very scifi universe. It only says a few words about it. The movie itself could as well be happening in some amazon jungles or sewers.
That's what you guys don't get. It's not the colors, clothes or even architecture that matters, it's more about the people and what they are going through in regards to technology.

It looks great

Looks like a generic screenshot from Star Wars
>That's what you guys don't get. It's not the colors, clothes, or even architecture that matters
I didn't once mention neon, clothes, or architecture in my post.

t. seething poor neet

Looks blurry

heres the same map from the upcoming video game

Attached: 1566867131226.jpg (2698x1614, 2.23M)

You clearly haven't even watched either of them.

I have read the book, and I have watched both movies, I even recently watched 2049 it was pretty boring shit, he spent next to no time doing his job, and it would have been a bit more interesting to see more of the wasteland where he crash landed

Well this is bullshit because CPU requirements have gone up for PC ports of games since the start of the gen. In 2014 all you needed was a decent quad core to play everything and there were a lot of console killer videos like the potato masher or digital foundry where digital foundry even used a dual core Pentium and completely BTFO the consoles in performance. Fast forward to now and you need at least 6 cores with hyper threading/SMT. Quad cores, dual cores, even hexacores with no hyper threading struggle in modern games.

You mentioned a near future. It could be as far as you want. Or it could be today, if you set it within modern china, or rather what western media portraits of it. Maybe even todays america but that will be a bit forced and will have to revolve around gay shit like social networks, and will only be partially valid.
Time constraints don't really matter as long as its in information age or later. Cyberpunk can be summed up as men making themselves obsolete and contemplating on it. Pretty much the same thing as what started with the advance of computers.

Cyberpunk is punk attitude, ethos and aesthetics in the grim future. It's not a complex genre, which makes Yea Forums's mindbogglingly mistaken interpretation of it even more worrying. It's the things punks were shouting about in the 70s pushed to the nth.

>It could be as far as you want or it could be today
It can't, because Cyberpunk is about high tech, low life. it has to be in an explicit time period where technology is sufficiently advanced enough but not so advanced that it resolves societal issues. Today's America is not cybeprunk, fuck off.

I don't think they were being serious, user. I think it's just a joke about the soulless vs soul meme. Those soulful pics were pretty lifeless and not even really cyberpunk looking. The soulless pics were all colorful and half of them aren't even from the damn game.

Our real world is pretty amazing sometimes. I wonder what real world changes are going to change how 2077's setting has developed. Have you heard about Japan's crappy robot fight convention, hebocon? Yeah these beginners make purposefully crappy but sometimes ingeniously simple robots to fight each other.

Attached: 4443506+_57383fc543c5d7963a216ea06cefa1f4.gif (300x163, 166K)

Last time I checked today's tech was advanced enough and didn't resolve any basic issues within society. What is even "enough"? Give some exact constraints when you are talking about terminology or else it defeats the purpose of having one.

>last time I checked today's tech was advanced enough
A primary theme of cyberpunk series is humanity, whether or not replacing your body with robotic components removes your humanity, elevates you. How many fully functioning prosthetics do we have right now? Go on, tell me.
