i work at a cinema and there we have a listing of movies that will come out... strangely enough the sonic movie's release date was put in february... when the trailer came out i was a bit confuse because usually we get an update when they change it...
then the backlash and the memes happened and they "push" the movie release for febuary because they needed to redesign it...

how strange

So you're saying that the outrage was planned and this was all a big publicity stunt to make the movie look better because they listened to fans? I can honestly believe that.

I'd say it's more likely after seeing Detective Pikachu's trailer and the positive outreach they decided to change the design and then said "We'll release the ugly design first, and when fans demand we change it we say we're going to in order to look like we genuinely give a shit and explain the delay"

Hmmm, I think they made a more accurate version but without the monoeye and with, HOPEFULLY, the SA2 shoes or at least the classic shoes. God I fucking hate those shoes in the og trailer.
I think next trailer is dropping after Halloween probably.
