POORFAGS BTFO, OLED BEST PANEL ON THE MARKET

>MUH OLED PANEL BURN IN WAAH WAAH
For months you were told that only actual fucking retards who leave their panels on still images at max brightness (for eg. overwatch hero select) got burn-in, and that nobody who took care of their panels got did. Well now we have definitive proof.

OLED was already the best panel on the market, but now that naysayers have been eternally BTFO, it's official.

What's with the lame Dolby watermark?

OLED has an issue, if a certain color is on for too long on the same pixel, then that pixel will hardly change color.
This effect is known as burning

Sounds like a serious fire safety issue.

IPS 76hz 1080p >>>> TN 4k 120hz

I play console on a plasma tv. Burn in happens but has never been permanent. Goes away after watching tv or playing different game. Its still gay though

>movies
no shit sherlock, now have a game with a UI running for 6 months, I guarantee it will have burn in just like crt tvs did

>like crt tvs did

That's retention.

LG OLED panels are probably the best panels you can get in regards to burn-in, since they use white OLEDs with colour filters, so at least the colour accuracy won't degrade super quickly. You still get 'burn-in' in the sense that pixels that get more use will lose their brightness faster, degrading screen uniformity. By having a shitload of pixels and some other systems to mitigate this, it's not that bad on TVs and phones (people replace them quickly anyway). I don't think it'll bode well for desktop usage however.
