>Nier Automatas credits is a rousing blend of the theme in all language options while you play a increasingly difficult schmup where other players show up and together you defy the will of the developers, publishers and the ceo to change the ending and save your characters by struggling and powering through together.

Its on the nose but it was sweet.

minecraft unironically

>building a comfy log house
>c418 sweden kicks in
such a kino fucking soundtrack

Thank god this thread is here
I just had a dream with Mantid where he tasked me to find a meme picture that I saw on Yea Forums about "that girl you like meme" with The Void characters
Needless to say I really liked this game

I HOPE I MADE IT IN TIME
Here you go, I hope Mantid didn't make you his bitch yet.

I felt good every time it got cleansed

Huh

what am i supposed to do in pathologic when stuck in an endless death cycle?

i've barely even got enough health to run out of my lair and the only option is to search for people to trade with while my health drains. at this point i'm going to just get 200 deaths on my name just trying to eventually run into someone with bandages. even then, its a very temporary solution. i don't get it.

Games with characters that made you feel something.

hahahahahaha nigers

Pathologic

Probably the only game I ever played where I was emotionally attached to the characters. Fuck... I think ill play it again, but this time im gonna get all the shmowders I can and save the children

What day are you on?
>search for people to trade with while my health drains
Why is it draining, are you starving as well? Or, god forbid, are you infected?
>trying to eventually run into someone with bandages
Go to a store, it's generally more expensive than barter, but your situation is pretty desperate.

If it's THAT bad, the only thing you can do is load an earlier save, even if that means losing 1-2 days of progress. But really, you should never have let it get so bad in the first place.
Did you neglect your own health because you're trying to take care of everyone else, or was it just bad planning?

>"Okay."
Fucking fite me.

I'm still surprised by this.
I mean, a Japanese game with a good dub and an emotional scene that isn't manipulated with music and entirely reliant on the established characters and dialogue?
What even?

What kind of game is this

Attached: SelfHarm2017.jpg (300x293, 8K)

Oh God I can hear it

Down the road, not across the street.
2/10, attention whore.

uh oh, don't talk about that game, Yea Forums's hivemind will kick in and wont accept its good

I don't know what game that is but the voices in my head are telling me it's shit.

I mean I wouldn't say it's a great game. It did some things good, a lot of things bad.
It's more a shame than anything, because it seems like a lot of manhours went into it and all of its multimedia jargon, and then the end product amalgam is overall middling.
I mean really, having any hopes for this even as far back as Versus XIII is pretty ridiculous. SE, if not Square, had already proven their incompetence and lack of integrity at that point, and 100% of the marketing were CGI mini-movies and fake "gameplay sequences".
The fact that Noctis is an actual character and develops somewhat naturally throughout the plot is a fluke in my book, but you gotta give credit where it's due.

Those aren't suicide attempts retard

It still hurts bros

That's not a game, that's a movie

The Void.
Russian shit, it's great if you have some imagination.

i managed to scrape by lel.
i got infected because i saved murky. i was exhausted because i had to finish that quest. even going to sleep, i just died in bed.

now its a new day and i'm sprinting to the fund hoping stuff in there can save me, wish me fucking luck.

This

The Void, the game from creators of Pathologic.
It's hard to describe what kind of game this is, I'd say "economic dating sim".

I like to feel things.

>i got infected because i saved murky
Good man. But I hope you have some shmowders or panacea, because you're not going to last long if you run around infected.

>economic dating sim
Not how I would have described it, but now I want a Spice and Wolf merchant sim

you have to go back

Cringe attention whore.

Yeah, that's the problem.

Ngl I cried during this. I was struggling big time with depression and defeatism and those credits called me out on it and gave me a push I needed to do better for myself. Call me a faggot but it helped me out of a really dark place and for that I'll always be thankful.

I refused help because I'm not a pussy for like 30 minutes. Didn't know about the mechanic so when I finally gave up and said yes to the prompt it hit me pretty hard.

It was joke you faggots. I only cut myself on my shoulder where nobody can see

Like fucking clockwork.

>a game has crafting, sneaking, full combat in melee and long-range, different enemy types with sub-types, actual sound, actual music, actual plot though linear
>"moviegame!"
>game has 6 screens, you """""play""""" it with maybe 2 buttons, there are 3 sounds
>"so classic, so soul"
>"haha, the characters say like 4 different things if you repeat clicking", "such a random thing to happen", "no, the story isn't a complete straight line because you backtrack like 60 times, so more gameplay and no cutscenes h-haha", "dragon lair is not movie game because it's a classic", "lucas arts is charming"
You're parents must have fucking hated you to force you to drink this much söy.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here, but I've always assumed the "moviegame" tag came from productions that obviously put more time/effort/money into the film aspects of the game than the actual gameplay itself.
I.E. Final Fantasy IV-Present, or The Witcher 3.
TLOU is, unfortunately, by no means the worst offender, mainly because of the inclusion of the multiplayer, but holy shit pretending that the crafting and stealth and even the shooting are worth a damn in the campaign is a practice in layering yourself in delusion.
Even Uncharted was terrible in this regard, but it had the benefit of having some OK shootout sections and some witty dialogue. TLOU is just watered down Metro with a manipulative storyline that is actively going fucking nowhere as of the soon-to-be-released sequel.

Everybody talks about how Missile is the bestest boy.
But we can all agree that Sissel is a really good friend too, right?
Man, animals being the ones who saved the day was a cool twist.

I'll admit a videogame poked through my sardonic indifference this once, but never again.
In Dark Souls 3, when starting the questline to end the age of fire, the Firekeepers' goodbye line changes.
>farewell Ashen One, mayst thou thy peace discov'r
Because Miyazaki knows all that jazz about muh natural end to let a new world grow is just a convenient cover, and what I'm actually looking for is my own peace. Cunning bastard.

Well? Did you find peace?

I certainly won't find it in a dream about the world's end.
