Tried playing Jade Cocoon after playing the second one, the start is very slow but it's doable. Is there a monster wheel system like in JC2 or can you only summon one monster? Also can you skip the capturing animation? It's slow as fuck

You're thinking of the saturn. Even FFVII cut massive sections of gameplay and story in order to shove more FMVs into the disk, to the point where they had enough cut content to spawn half a dozen spin-offs.

You are misunderstanding what I'm talking about. If you want to get into unused assets, then even the very first FF was guilty of this. This is a normal part of game design, not something new to FFVII and certainly not something new to the PS era. I'm talking about reducing the amount of content in relation to previous titles. All PS era FF's have a massive amount of content. It wasn't until FFX that content started taking a hit.
