if you've never played it, have patience for old graphics and things that aren't fully voice acted, and like D&D-based RPGs, then yes absolutely. there's still a lot of surprisingly decent fan-made content hanging around.
the campaigns that come with the game are kind of mixed
>OC: 6/10
>SoU: 8/10
>HotU: 9/10
SoU and HotU are meant to be played by a single character, while the OC is supposed to be a different one. so if you're just sticking to the official content, the usual advice here is to start with the OC and fuck around until you're comfortable with the controls etc., then dump it (unless you're really enjoying it) and start over with a new character in SoU
but bear in mind that, no matter what kind of settings you use, the 3D stuff looks really fucking old now. it doesn't bug me because I played it when it was relatively new, but it won't be for everybody
Only if you like that type of game.
It was never worth playing
>b-but my gay furry erp server
Are they still hosting that non-EE master server? The one you have to use NWNCX to see?
Despite all the hate the original campaign gets, it's a classic story that's fairly well structured with memorable characters and scenarios.
If you can look past the graphics, the only real problem is the pacing - it's gratingly slow.
The expansion packs solved the latter and the official modules are much better as well (although also completely unrelated to the plot).
Overall, the soundtrack is good, story is standard fare, and the game plays like what you'd expect from a computerized adaptation of DnD 3e.
Don't play it if you're solely interested in dynamic action and cinematic set pieces. It's not a fast or pretty game.
Does anyone play EE online? Are there any good servers?
How is Bastard of Kosigan gay furry erp?
It's worse, it's french
>Lady Aribeth will never smite you
I heard Druid is the best class now? I thought Cleric was the best. Is shapeshifting into different monsters THAT OP?
kek
What are your favoutire porn mods Yea Forums?
Played a fuckload of crpgs but never finished the first nwn, thinking of getting EE since its on special
adwr
>buying a trannydog release
Don't emasculate yourself like that.
Okay dude, listen up
That game is either fucking Godsend or mediocre to you
It depends if it just clicks for you and you like olden fantasy stuff and had DnD interest.
Its fucking rad to play with a friend, I play it with my sis and she loves playing illusionist+necromancer gnome Wizard while I play Cleric.
Magic is rad honestly and leveling up actually feels important
It just depends if it clicks for you, playing with friend is fokken nice.
Remember to save often.
is Bard any fun in this?
Bard and rogue are nearly impossible without henchmen, and henchman AI is a bit wonky.
>tfw 70% of the enemy in NWN is immune to sneak attack and there's no way to bypass it
the worst kind of feel
Druids have always been stupid because they wild shape into dragons at higher levels. Cleric is good, but consists primarily of layering shit tons of buffs onto a melee character and having it trivializing a single encounter, after which all of your spells are now gone and you have to rest for more.
Not really worth it to go pure Bard in this game. Usually you just get one level to access RDD.
The expansions are okay.
There's quite a few good modules too.
We don't talk about the original campaign.
What are the best fan made modules?
>Druids have always been stupid because they wild shape into dragons at higher levels.
Neat but aren't constructs like iron golem a tad bit better both defense and damage wise?
Tales of Arterra
The Aielund Saga
Prophet
Bastard of Kosigan
A Dance with Rogues
I'm sure there's more but that's off the top of my head.
It's just a meme. They're all trash, practically all of the higher rated ones are just shitty eroge. Dances With Rogues, Gladiatrix, shit like that is what people will tell you to play, and then you play them, and realize the entirety of the content revolves around shitty text dumps of badly written sex scenes.
Maybe i should download it and actually finish a dance with rogues this time.
The problem is that i kinda disliked it for the excesive amount of porn and rape that shit has.
But most of the good ones aren't porn.
>I never played any of the fan modules or even the game itself
Don't forget the premium modules

Yes.

I only played this game to rp as azula
OK guys I'm I missing something? I've tried to play it off and on for awhile now and something instead clicking. I'm familiar with D&D 3.5 so it isn't the stats and terminology. Nor the lore. My issue I'm feeling is 2 fold. 1 I want to play it like a crpg but in reality its more like Diablo correct? MC and a single party member go dungeon diving for sick loots and pussy right? My second issue is mechanical. The game seems to rely heavily on keyboard shortcuts but it never explain them or some important mechanicstuff to you. Like I learned how to use stealth thanks to a smut mod I was fucking around with for science. Does anyhow have any tips for me? I really dig the graphics and atmosphere but I keep getting mad at it.
NWN is only good for its' modules and online play, assuming it's still alive.
NWN2 has an ok OC campaign and a godlike expansion pack campaign following it up.
Is SoZ worth playing?
It's pretty fun, but very different from the OC and MotB
It's a D&D game without a controllable party, in single player it will play like shit no matter what.
Is Westgate any good?
Absolutely loved this game when it first came out. I've tried replaying it a few times in the last few years but it just feels like such garbage by modern standards.
NWN2 still feels great though.
HOME-UNCLE-EYE!
How do I make a rouge that doesn't make me want to kill myself please. This will be for SoU
Get one level of shadowdancer as soon as it's available and then maybe switch to fighter.
No, it was never good
Your smell was never good
Any good porn modules? I played a dance with thieves, part 1 was good while part 2 was a lot more game and a lot less porn.
I recently installed Gladiatrix, but I wasn't impressed.
It was my first true RPG so i love it. Yes, even the OC campaign. As a matter of fact, the werewolf mistery quest is my favorite
Swordflight is probably the magnum opus of modules, very Baldur's gate inspired with a ton of interesting content. It's a wierd thing to latch onto but I love how wierd some of the henchmen are.
Sands of fate is also good if you like stupid powerlevel wankery, it's intended to be a module for your character after HotU.
Demonheart, Dance with spies.
Are there undead henchmen?
Any of them have any scenes with creatures from the dungeon master monster manual?
No.
That was disappointing. There are so many venues you can explore with so many different kinds of humanoids. Too bad they pussy out
You might as well just play Pathfinder: Kingmaker if you want a D&D RPG.
But pathfinder is not dnd, is it?
Pathfinder bought dnd version 3.5. All the mechanics and such, but not any lore, outside the generic stuff
I don't understand why people dislike the OC. It's good, better than SoU imo.
Of course, there is no beating HotU
>Thra'axfyl the Ambitious, surrender Toril to me
>Become evil overlord of all, with evil Aribeth AND Nathyrra as your lovers
>it's not just that you complete the romance quest for both, they actually acknowledge that it's a 3-way relationship and there's dialogue about it
Oh, anons.
How's Paladin in this game?
Just play a cleric
>have patience for old graphics and things that aren't fully voice acted
if people don't have patience for these things they are going to fucking hate books
Not great, not terrible.
