I used to be so scared of seeing game over screens. I blame the DKC games, Speedy Gonzales on SNES and Home Alone on SNES always freaked me out if I got a game over.

What are some spookiest game over screens?

To David Cage's credit, there isn't really a "game over" in Detroit. The story keeps going when characters die, and in the event of everyone's death there's a satisfactory-enough conclusion.
Not that that would work in most other games.

On pc games quicksave means press a button that automatically save.
On some older game, like final fantasy or castlevania quicksaving means create a special save file that is destroyed if you load it or load a different one.

I want to say the Arkham Series does a good job whenever you lose. Each villain gets their own set of lines if they took you down. Penguin wants your head for the trophy room, Joker mocks you, Croc eats you, your allies mourn you, and so on.
