Interview describing how employees operate in monolith

Lewd image so you fags bump the thread
Fuck, I hope that means their next games were more ambitious then originally planned and they need more for all of them. I hear it's up to 3 now. Helping out for BotW2, like last time. Some new IP and another Xenoblade, either X2 or 3. I'd be shocked to get either by 2021 at this rate.
There were people here saying that the game would bomb, what now?
Hmmmmm
youtu.be
>BotW 2
>that new IP they teased a few years ago
>probably a new Xenoblade
Take note GF.
They just say that 1.7 is underperforming compared to other games, even though it's sales prompted them to expand in the first place. Hopefully it's all up from here. Lots of stuff got cut from 2, so I hope more people means less cut.
Fuck man, there was just so much. I really wanted to have Jin for longer and for him to be a DLC party member, there was even six slots in the party member just for him. He's got lines for all of the standard party interaction too, except for after battle dialog.
GF will never change. Even their original stuff is half assed. They would die in only a couple years if Creatures and Nintendo partnered up to wrest control of their share away from them. 100 employees to do nothing. Monolith has similar numbers and the majority of them were on BotW, while only a skeleton crew were making XC2 and it still did as well as it did. I actually fear the full might of Monolith working on a singular game.
What if that new IP they teased was just a Xenoblade MMO?
X tried online multiplayer and communication features (BLADE reports) with significant success. Though Nintendo trying to make a live service is hard to believe.
Monolith is cursed with the fact that they one of the only competent Nintendo studios like retro studios, so they would probably never reach their full potential
This is what gamefreak should be doing. Those lazy fucks.
While general combat of the series lends itself well to an MMO, I just can't imagine Monolith soft dedicating a portion of their resources to something like that. It's something that needs constant care, a stable environment and the right world building to really take off. Also MMO kind of stay static and part of Xenoblades charm is the fact that quests actually change things. An Affinity system will just never really work well in an MMO, because everyone's choices will be different, so you can't have something be 'canon'
>What if that new IP they teased was just a Xenoblade MMO?
they specifically said it was different from monolith's usual brand image and that they were looking for people familiar with classic fantasy tropes and popular overseas trends so it's not xenoblade
>burning thought this many employees
They are fucked they're expanding to much and are going to kill themselves.
Not necessarily
Remember, Monolith Soft helps a ton with other Nintendo games, so chances are they're hiring more people to help them help Nintendo since their core team (the ones who worked on BOTW and XBX and XB2) are likely the same size as ever
Im guessing this is because BOTW2 development is ramping up or something
baten kaitos hd collection for switch please
Why do they need an effect autist
Talk to Namco for that, they own the license. Though last I heard, they weren't opposed to doing another game in that universe. God, that would certainly be something though, imagine a fight against Alvis as a super boss, hinting that the world of Baten Kaitos is just another world that the Zohar made contact with and that's what hyper evolved beings came from.
They had massive layoffs after how poor XB2 did.
The switch isnt doing to hot as you can see it had caused Nintendo to dip 40% in profits.
This will be a small cash grab before Nintendo dumps the switch like they did the wiiu
why do they need so many employees to pump out low effort weebshit?
xenoblade team isn't involved with the new IP

Jesus, I've never seen anyone be more wrong
>XB2 does twice as well as the previous Xenoblade titles
>Switch beat Wii U LTS in its first year
>after how poor XB2 did
It's literally the best selling Xeno game, what are you on?
>naked Nia is one of the images chosen for the ad
I like this bold new direction Monolith is headed in
>new direction
If anything it's a return to form. Momo panties in Xenosaga? I wouldn't be shocked if swim wear was back to being standard in the next game and everyone gets multiple armors again.

How many fucking people do they have at this point?
> I also play the finished ROM, since otherwise I wouldn’t be able see what bits were not fun for me, and therefore not fun for players.
Shit like this is great. I wish more people did this, because otherwise it's just plain guessing. Takahashi really does see the same product that we do and while not everyone is going to be bored by the same things, there are certainly points that stand out for everyone as at least being a little tedious. I guess we won't see things like Usula's shit in the next game.
Last heard, they had 209, so who knows how many they will have after this hiring phase, but I hope it goes up to at least 250.
