Yes, it was pretty fun. The entire game is narrated by a man with a gruff and soothing voice that never gets old. He will comment on your actions in a way that is entertaining.

Its great but still the weakest of Supergiants Games.
The gameplay isnt as polished as Transistor/Hades. A few enemies are downright annoying. Some sections drag on.
But on your first playthrough you'll be too caught up in the experience to really recognize any of this. 10/10 writing and soundtrack which is always Supergiants biggest strength.

I only watched some spoilers just after I played transistor which was developed by the same team and I can say it depends ,gameplay is meh but story is good

The action game play is decent. Recommend watching some game play to determine if you won't mind doing that for several hours.
Good story with awesome narration.
Great music and art style.
Overall, would recommend for a weekend play through.

Played it in one sitting, wasn't amazed by the story and characters, but it wasn't unpleasurable.

It's an art game. It's not really fun but it looks nice and that's ok. Not all games have to be fun. Some just look and sound nice.

Yeah it's fun. Not too long but not too expensive either. The weapons were varied enough for me to enjoy using them. Some of the ending bits can give you chills. Atmosphere is good.
