How about you deal with it?

You forgot the "no fucks given" arrow

what's with gamers and needing to feel morally right in literally every situation

I pirate because its a service problem.

The only games I've pirated are games that aren't being sold or require a fuck ton of modding to work. I've considered pirating denuvo but I'm too lazy.

I pirate because digital goods have no real value, and with new games basically being download discs for the games I won't pay 60 dollars for a plastic case and a key to download 0s and 1s

i used to be poor
now i found out id be happier if i kept my 1$

I pirate any game that costs more than 10$, with the exception of starsector a year ago

Why would i need to justify it ?

I don't pirate because I can't think of any game that I want to play but that I don't think is worth spending money on.

I pirate because i dislike spending money

Society is about what you can do and what others cannot do.
I can do this, and you cannot stop me.

I'd also like to add that Steam/Epic/Uplay etc. is a scam and you are paying to access your games and not own them. The only "moral" way to buy digital property (which has no real value) is to buy a cracked copy.

I pirate because I feel like it.

I pirate when the game is literally impossible to buy without an auction site, like Limbo of the Lost or the Fable 3 dlcs

>is a scam and you are paying to access your games and not own them

False, only companies tell you this.
Games are a product not a service.

Where's "I pirate because the game is no longer available/was never released in my region"

Or if the game is absurdly priced because Japan, like Honey Select

The dollar values in play here do raise the stakes, if only psychologically. Stealing $60 worth of merchandise is pretty serious if you've never done crime before.

I pirate because I can.

I want to fuck lindafag so hard she devotes herself to become my wife.

I don't pirate because I'm too lazy/tired to do even that

I pirate games because it's free

I pirate cuz I'm broke as fuck.
I'm from Argentina and the argentinian peso is so unstable that Steam won't put the games in my currency, insert a picardia here.

How about pirating because the retail release was censored by trannies?

I pirate games out of fear.

I never pirate anything. I just buy game keys from GOG that were purchased with fraudulent credit cards; that way the publishers will actually lose money from the purchase, and I will have acquired the game legally thus ridding me of any guilt and leaving me with a completely clean conscious.

I miss Dave the gnome posting.

Name me one company that went bankrupt because their game was pirated too much.

may i please pirate video games op?

What if I pirated it because I already bought it on console?

JoWooD

I only pirate games that I think are going to be bad. If the game is good it is a pleasant surprise (I still won't pay for it though because I already have it for free, next time do a better job promoting your game).

The Classist Corsair is the only true answer and anyone one pretending anything different is a turbo-liar / blaming the victim / hypocrite etc. (Small exception for technically illegal to pirate abandonware)

Myself, I pirated tons when young, and now that I have a small business that makes money even as I sleep, I actually find everything very convenient to have on steam and be able to install & uninstall at will, without chasing cracks, updates etc. Even rebought some ex-pirated games (such as Civ V etc) just to have them on the list. Not for a microsecond I wasn't 100% perfectly aware it was bad, and I was saying the same "but muh resistance to big companies" bs too.

It's the reason we didn't get GameCenter CX 2 you dumb faggot. No one actually bought DS games, it's probably why we didn't get a sequel to TWEWY, too.

Imagine virtue signaling to corporations.

That's "The Wronged Raider".

To those that don't pirate:

Why do you care if others do?

I pirate because it is legal in my country.

>paying money for a license
What in the fuck is the point? Atleast if you spend money on physical games you are getting something. There is literally no reason to spend money on digital games except, "oh i wanna show my tranny steam friends what games i'm playing."
>inb4 some highroading faggot brings up morals
That's not gonna make me waste my money sorry.

this

why buy when you can get for free? i don't really need more of a justification than that

Why pay for something when you can get it for free?

classic corsair

CC is the best practical reason.
Personally I like the argument that pirating is no different than not tipping a busker, a dick move but neither illegal nor immoral. If they don't like it, they find another busking spot or go get a different job. (Or take the generousity of the people who do tip & stop complaining)

>these companies make games that I consistently play every year but I want them to burn to the ground
??????

Do you really think your 1 purchase will make a change?

GoG has no DRM and lets you burn the games to a disc for future use
