I feel like if they did it they have to do 7 then 6 or a 7 into 6 as one game (highly unlikely since that's like 60 levels).

It doesn't need a remake. FE6 is perfectly playable. The only thing that could maybe use a change are Knights and Roy getting access to a promotional class earlier. Nothing else needs to change, not even Sophia.
