Most "Kojima haters" are people who're burned out by his bullshit, like me. Ever since MGS4 onward (including said game in that), he's applied his autism less to genuinely interesting questions about the human condition and more to dumb shite like language parasites. He's also become increasingly narcissistic over the years and shoves all his games with unnecessary references to himself.
Death Stranding is going to be literally no better or worse than Gone Home, just with an astronomical budget and endless cutscenes full of Kojima's Hollywood friends.

Sure people know Kojima's name, but will people remember his games fifty years from now. I doubt it. Will people every know my name? Probably not. But what we post here makes us greater than the sum of our parts. We make or break games. We control the industry and we pull the strings. When a publisher releases a game they sweat at the though of what we do. The latest shitty AAA game will be in the bargain bin by this time next year, but what I post will reverberate though history.
