I think the game would've been better if the GD's weren't their own route and instead had certain units join and/or fight you depending on whether or not you chose BL or BE since canonically the alliance is split in half due to one side choosing the empire and the other not. It also would allow them to flesh out the stories already present between BL and BE and could've made it possible to make Edelgard not look like an absolute retard with a stupid plan.

Why would anyone make Felix a mortal savant instead of a dancer? Mortal Savant is literally just dancer with worse speed and worse dodging. I don't understand why people would use a recruited Mercedes or Flayn who can only support some people instead of using someone from the house itself to take advantage of easy support ranks.

Dimitri's arc doesn't end there though. Marianne's whole support chain with Byleth is just her telling you to stay away for 2 ranks without properly explaining why and then revealing she had suicidal thoughts, but not anymore. She doesn't even mention her crest.
