Vinesauce chat has really gone to shit for the past year or so. I know, we say that so many times that I could be a rich man if I had a dollar every time we came to that conclusion. If there was a state even shittier than 2013 or 2014 Vinesauce though, this would certainly be it. The site's transition to twitch and the streamers each getting their channel meant that for the most part, the audiences were shifted to those channels' twitch chat. Of course, the old Vinesauce chatango was still around, but had drastically decreased in numbers. Obviously the people who only stay for Vinny/Joel streams moved to twitch chat and yes, it's a terrible place to be, meme spouting as bad as always.
People still use chatango but if you ask me, most of the cool people have been long gone by the time I'm typing this. They've been long gone for over a year now, if not more. Where they went depends on who, a lot of them went to twitter/tumblr/certain streamer's twitch chat and left chatango for good. With the exception of a certain few, most of those who are left behind are kinda the terrible bunch, I guess due to the lack of moderation and superiority complex that they have over twitch chat and everyone else it seems. It's a circlejerk at this point, not that it's much different than 1-2 years ago, but it's a circlejerk that's an ugly mixture of different communities that's past its prime, if that makes any sense.
It's sad really, they might as well just put it out of its misery and just go the full way with its transition to twitch and wipe out all remnants. It wouldn't surprise me either that Vinny or someone else probably wanted things to go down like this, hell, even he's stopped looking at chatango during his streams, despite doing so during the initial days after the switch.
If you still want a feeling of a stream community, I'll just rehash some old advice and tell you to go on Omnistream.

Vinny has stolen money and games from the community several times. He had a patreon that raised about 400 dollars and ended up "Donating" it to charity yet the week after he closed it, he had a new chair, new clothes and a new expensive microphone.
He used to take games in from people saying they would be for contests, these contests would never happen. He could be seen playing these games on steam.
