>NA dumpstered yet again
Chinks and Amerimutts on suicide watch.

Why are Americans so bad at DotA these days anyway? They have no excuse.

>these days
It was unironically a fluke when EG won. They've been routinely shit every other year, before and after

>The Aegis was the friendship we made along the way

>bitter rivals are defeated and humiliated
>instead of them becoming friends with the main character, they stay dead

>They've been routinely shit every other year, before and after

They came 3rd the year before and 3rd after.

>these days
they were never good

CEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEB

>2019 caring about dota

>aussie dota is bad!!

LMAO Ana first 2x TI winner. Still calls people niggers and chinks in pub games. Australian Dota is absolutely based. We would have even more TI winners if we weren't so far away from all tournaments and teams.

no one here plays Dota just League
t. burgerland

TELL ME ABOUT TOPSON, WHY DOE HE POSE

That's the same everywhere (outside Eastern Europe). League is like 15x-50x bigger than Dota.

the NA inhouse scene is cancer and is dominated by the absolute worst kinds of people
retards like RTZ encourage individualist celebrity culture instead of tightknit teamplay

It is specially bad here though, doesn't help that pubs here are just bad filled with peruvians and people that walk mid for fun

I am contributing this post

Both LoL and Dota are only played/watched by faggots and Chinese people. So you guys are either gay or Chinese.

t. faggot

another fucking years of memes. Fuck the pro scene for another 5 years I guess.

>EG top 3 3 times in a row, winning once
>fluke

lmao yurocucks are really still seething about 2015?

What the fuck was Kuroky thinking on that first phase ban? They know Io is OGs winning hero. Why the fuck didn't they ban him?

youtube.com/watch?v=12vh55_1ul8

>Yea Forums hates reddit
>loves the most reddit team imaginable
kk, homos))

if people enjoyed playing dota like og enjoys playing dota, memes wouldn't bother anyone.
Notail suggests that people stop getting mad at video games, and to play to have fun. Memewhile everyone's raging and losing wondering why everything is so shit all the time.

WHEN THE CHIPS WERE DOWN YOU JUST LAUGHED AT US
NOW YOU ABOUT TO FEEL THE FUCKING WRATH OF AFTERMATH FAGGOTS

Not video games

Attached: OH NO NONO NO NO.png (683x751, 136K)

he should have banned tiny desu

Stopped playing DotA when DotA 2 came out. How the fuck is IO so strong?

torille

Io has always been and will always be broken in the hands of pros

Tilted af probably

IMAGINE WATCHING E-SPORTS LMAO HAVE SEX ALREADY TWITCH KIDS FUCKING PATHETIC

Because its Ana, IO is also broken when you actually h ave a team just looking at its abilities should tell you why.

fucking based

You know 2 guys in OG are like 27 and one is already 25?

In esports years they are already boomers in their 30s.

How come they still outplay all these zoomers?

My only regret is that they didn't face off against LGD.

Well ana is 19 and Topson is the agent 47 equivalent of a dota player

They did, just not in the finals.

Yeah that's what I mean.

I think them facing off in the finals again would have been a far more kino script.

blame the chinks for choking, OG did their part on repeating last year

man i want to know how s4 and Fly feels right about now

What race are you

probably happy for him, them leaving was necessary old OG had become shit. There really was only drama because of the way they left not becuase they left

dont mind me, im just a hero that destroys og playstyle

Attached: portrait[1].jpg (235x272, 13K)

obviously nowhere near as good as ceb but i was ~5k mmr when they first introduced mmr and the mechanical skill of like 80% of the players in the internationals back then was very poor. even watching this year there were a lot of say leshracs who couldn't link eul's into stun properly lol

Where can I find some EU bads to play with im fucking archon 3 i'd feel embarassed to try and find half decent players id just let them down

are these the guys fucking around in tournament games?

>only 19
>wins two (2) TIs
>solves dota
>be a multimillionaire
>be Australian
>get away with cursing online
>even dropped out of high school just to prove his point

It's not fucking fair bros. Almost all the other guys in his team are like closer to 30 and he's already achieved so much before 20

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Attached: Ana_Kiev.jpg (800x534, 74K)

Actually really glad we get next TI in Sweden, proper crowds. not some insectoid bugmen leaving the stadium after their teams get btfo

Forgot qt Asian gf

I believe you mean, through being the most creative, selfless and innovative. Topson mid is like when Pep Guardiola moved Messi to false 9 and teams didnt know how to play.

reddit won

Asian girls aren't attractive

real talk is topsen actually shit like everyone else is a good player but topsen is always the shit one lol

user already called her a qt you can't just revoke qt status like that

yeah, OG wouldnt probably achieved this kind of feat if both s4 and Fly didnt leave. they just didnt anticipated that they could be replaced by a much more skilled players. and the timin of their departure tho basically crippled OG

I just Googled 'TI9' to see the schedule, and it gave me the results of the final. I figured I'd miss a game or so, but how in the fuck did 4 matches already get played? Didn't the Chinks get slain just 5 or so hours ago? I figured there'd be a few hour break before the finals. Fuck Valve for pandering to Chinks so the entire finals are finished by 8am.

grand final is always an hour after the last loser's bracket match

he is ugly chink tho and I'm white blonde, he may tryhard for the rest of his life but he'll never be as good as me

>2nd best Liquid pick
>doesn't get picked
wewlad

i didnt even realize ti had happened until i watched admiral bulldog watch a replay of the last game when i got up this morning. im glad dota players are all suffering and making each other miserable, its basically hell and now they'll be even more hair-trigger when playing with their groups of friends because they'll think "i could be just like OG but my friends arent giving their all!" all 3-5 players of any given group of """"dota FRIENDS"""""""" will blame the other players and the misery will cause humidity levels to rise GLOBALLY. Jesus Christ be praised. i love humidity, it makes my nuts hang low.

it was also n0tail going pos 5 which is way better than his carry

goodluck with that user bec last time i checked money>>>>looks unkess you have both of them

I guess I should've paid attention to the schedule. It was inevitable OG was going to win, but it would've been nice to watch live. How silent was the crowd since all Chink teams were vanquished?

this. notail is genuinely garbage at any other role dunno why he kept trying to force

Dead silent, bugmen were a mistake

This silent

clips.twitch.tv/StylishDoubtfulGoblinKappa

>le based high dog sex and suicide per capita man

They stayed to cheer them on then got them on a Chinese late show for an interview. Don't blame them for not waiting around after to see free food is being given out or some awful deadmau concert being performed.

Attached: 1565744877098.jpg (883x1765, 433K)

so we can now confirm Kuroky will remove w33ha, right?

he should remove himself desu

You say that but Secret got dumpstered with a carry Io.

the chinks were a mistake just came to watch their teams not watch dota

Because W33 Meepo, they used it on VICI i think and was dominant too

>How silent was the crowd since all Chink teams were vanquished?
Almost dead silent, having a TI in Chinkland was a mistake.

only game liquid won was with meepo lol

maybe epic memes about his pudge and his mapo got to his head

Yeah they kept picking TA too and never banning Tony

fucking hell his pudge yeh lol. remembe rplaying against him mid in pubs in hon lol. would never ever have guessed he would be one of the most famous and successful dota players

>LoL big tournament
>you can't say anything, get banned in chat for even saying something they deem "offensive"
>players are silent and crowd is soulless

>DOTA
>pro players tipping the enemies and just being as bad mannered as they can be
>the chat is an absolutely chaotic party
>commentators make highlights of certain bad manner plays, like sprays

why yes, we do follow Dota Pro scene, how did you know?

Attached: 1560170730869.jpg (1903x1200, 299K)

lol the tipping is hilarious desu but yeh lol toxic af

its literally Tiananmen Square all over again, everyone went silent and pretended nothing happened

they only won because ana went full retard

What an absolute fucking gigachad that makes regular chads feel like virgins.

>OG planting a picture of the Notail/Fly handshake infront of EG's fountain before they won

I love DOTA's bants.

sure. they are much much better players than liquid kinda crazy liquid even made the final desu

that was w33 going after a spectre next to a fountain, only reason that throw was that bad

>so yeah, Chen and Alch
>I bet they are going to pick AA
>mfw

Attached: 1548094528446.jpg (537x608, 51K)

>Topson planting a Gooby flag during a fountain dive against Newbee
TI has best bants

i'm talking about ana not buying back

Chen and alch werent picked on the finals, in the group stage theyd usually ban AA if they were going to

wut chen was picked kuroky game 4

>glyph already used
>meepo and TA raping tier 4 towers
>still no bb
yeah I think ana is just grug-tier retarded

Who has a greater legacy in DotA?

Sumail or Ana?

The other user was talking about OG

its not even a question anymore. ana is the best carry and best player overall on the planet and topson is the best mid

neither

Attached: topson.png (559x559, 516K)

>OG planting a picture of the Notail/Fly handshake infront of EG's fountain before they won
They kept planting the flags with every kill and even stacked a good three or four of them at the fountain at one point.

As of now, Ana. Sumail peaked too early unless he can win another TI.

lol topsen is such shit haha obviously ui dont kick when u are winning every tournament u want to win but still when they do lose he wil lbe gutted faster than you can say feed

Attached: 1436168286720.png (600x782, 513K)

Lmao, be more specific friend. Remember when IO was the frist time at TI and everyone just banned it except for chinks? Remember how chinks were all high and mighty "We gonna destly IO, sching schon!" - and got wrecked evry game io went hrough and couldn't play the heroe for shit themselves?
I do.
Good times.

That's Wings' story mate.

what even happened with wings

EL TOPSON

Age doens't influence that much, only when you are much much older. In fighting games you have people in their 40s winning tournaments. It's mostly about playtime. When you're older you have family and adult responsibilities.

og playstyle is so boring. it's basically; cheese.
I hope icefrog prioritizes team fight heroes next TI.

Damn... 15 million between 5 people and their management. That's paid in full. Fug

Redbull probably takes a significant chunk of that

and 60 million at least for valve
they've got a regular fucking racket going on, no doubt about it

Don't tell Yea Forums that, they'll kill themselves

dont be stupid

He has to be at the show next year in Stockholm.

don ac dum

I wonder how do people cope with the fact that guys in their 20 or in their teens like Ana are already multi millionaires from playing Vidya games.

Meanwhile they will wagecuck for 40 years while having no legacy or even coming close to those amounts.

Sponsors and governments' tax agencies will take a huge chunk of that.

sponsors? nah if you are some new people and you playing for dignitas and they send you to america sure but not for someone like OG at the international

Clip?

Get ready for your carry Wisp games everyone

All while I play mid ogre and laugh my ass off at everyone's confusion

I can't be bothered to look time zones up, but did the Finals at least happen when Yuros could watch it without being up at 4am? It seems really fucking shitty to have the Finals when America sleeps, but Valve is pandering to the Chinks.

You could put in thousand of hours into DotA but you could never come close to becoming a multimillionaire or best in the world. All before age 20!

Fuck

TOP "100% TI WINRATE" SON

That was probably pressure choking, they can all do it reliably in usual games people just overthink things when there's so much on the line.

>LGD ban Alch/Chen every game to not get cheesed
>LGD choke game 2 and throw on draft game 3
>Liquid get cleaned out by OG
LGD/OG would have been a competitive series.

OG doing this is so great for dota's esports history
now any person can win again but it'll never be a big deal nothing will top being back to back TI champs OG will remain the best team in dota's history
which is good cause now people can play dota at TI without all this pressure surrounding them

I guarantee next TI we see some amazing dota

It's over bro. If you don't have the talent to sell your skills, buckle up for 40 years of wagecucking. At least you can buy things and go on expensive holidays...

Attached: 1.png (726x1082, 482K)

Imagine if someone in 2011 told you that fuckingmad and n0tail gonna win 2 internationals

Attached: BOjpNdzCAAI0_nK.png large.png (590x1308, 978K)

>don't pick or ban tiny
>lose

Not even dota. Their philosophy of "just have fucking fun with your friends bro" is a legacy all other eturds players will follow across all games.

I stopped playing/watching years ago but I'm glad to see based Notail finally getting his

>pick or ban tiny
>lose to like Topson Techies or some shit

This. French never cared about dota and the french team of ceb was so garbage.
I remember him as a really bad player, then he tried to become a commentary. Few years later i hear that he's coaching OG, then i'm hearing that he's playing with them and i was thinking that OG didn't have a single chance at TI because of him.

It was solved at least 3 TIs ago.

ASSFAGGOTS

eg picked tiny and got dumpstered

I'm happy for Jerax and BIGDADDY, but the finals were one of the worst in years, they've made it look way too easy and the games were too short.

because eg is shit

>french never cared about DotA
Absolutely true, when I had passes to play DotA 2 on steam and offered my friends to play it they told me to fuck off and I ended up playing LoL with them
9 years later one of them is challenger and I never played a single ranked

TELL ME ABOUT TOPSON

WHY DOES HE WIN THE GAMES

No one cares about NA, they suck shit.

so is every team compared to og

As long as rtz is on it they will never win TI again.

Attached: RTZ does it again.webm (640x360, 2.82M)

kek that fucking tip

Attached: 1432749597157.gif (320x320, 1.44M)

Don't forget how people were shitting on Topson when he started to become a pubstar, now he has 2 TI wins with only two series in the group stage.

some say that to this day, rtz is still farming in the jungle...

notail plays dota how it was always meant to be played
mmr ruined it by replacing the playerbase with a bunch of humorless hero spamming autists with no imagination

Imagine how it must feel being the other teams. All scrambling every year to kick out team members, shuffle around like whores in a swinger's party, betray them, all in the name of cut throat Dota 2 autism for the sake of winning TI and now this team that pretty much revolved around friendship and having fun won two consecutive TIs in a row.

Imagine how it must feel.

>called n0lans for the longest time
>wins TI back-to-back

>Topson
fuck you, my boy Jerax was slammed down when he was starting, people were saying that he was the reason his team was losing and he should just quit

God this was the funniest shit, absolute pinnacle of Anti-Mage

watch the pugna game 3 of the finals.

>being a raid boss drawing 2 to 4 people, while seriously threatening or killing one person
>making dynamic choices in ganks/farming/item purchases

The guy is just smart, you can't learn that.

he doesn't, your country straight up steals 20-60% of your tournament earnings depending on the country and various other legal bullshit.

topson is the spiritual successor to john carmack

If someone wants to learn dota, whats the best way? Day9 Learns dota?

Attached: thinking3.jpg (480x480, 39K)

You know in a way this is actually the most perfect time for OG to win. Especially since Valve revamped the MMR system to promote party stacks and playing with friends.

Attached: RTZ does it again 2.webm (854x480, 2.98M)

Welcome to dota 2, you suck
Its dated as fuck, but it gives you good fundamental
Or just day9, yeah

Purge videos or his guide.

oh great now everyone and their mother is going to be an OG-in-the-making team

>find someone who will teach you
>Purge guide as a reference, but not the guide

>dota+ might be a good tool for a start
Game is not that hard, if the bunch of drunk russians and pinoys can learn it via cafes, is it really that difficult?

Where's TI10 taking place?

just play

Sweden

Stockholm, Sweden
Expensive as fuck apparently

its not only sharteezy, sumail is choking on a big fucking cock when late game starts

The post-TI depression is settling in Yea Forums.

Someone please help me.

This is why Blizz esport will never be fun. All of this taunting wouldn't be allowed and they would never have thought about this kind of stuff in the first place.
I'm glad WoW devs told Icefrog to fuck off.

Purge's welcome to dota you suck (keeping in mind its a bit dated) and Day9 learns dota to fill in the gaps. Games not that hard to get the basics of though. Its the specifics that are hard.

I'm chinase and this tournament was disgraceful, twitch chat very disrespectful ass well

Stop posting yellow bear memes please

Him leaving was unironically a good thing for notail.

Anywhere is better than China.
Fuck I don't even want to be racist but chinese crowd was fucking shit.

Fighting games and Dota will always be peak esports. Bantz allowed, pop offs encouraged.

CHINKS = EXTERMINATED

Seriously, no esport can get to this level of bants
Chatwheel, tipping, flags, sprays, taunts, etc all allowed in official match
Its great for entertaining games and narative

Hilarious part is that the team that fully embraced it was the team that won TI.

>Fighting games
not following those, but wasn't teabagging banned and all? how else can you even taunt during gameplay

Do you think fly did it on purpose, in an attempt to inspire notail to play even better?

Watching OG btfo out of the crowd was actually really fun this TI. The chinese crowd isn't any different from NA or EU crowds, just a bit more extreme. People complained way back in TI4 about souless chink dota finals with no crowd hype, what's changed now that its western team finals in China? Fucking nothing.

There was no crowd.

>Chatwheel
yeah i would gladly live without that, rest is fun but fuck the fucking chatwheel.

i think teabagging was only banned in nrs games, and only for like some medium level tournaments because they're pussies. but also the characters have built in taunts and you can do other sorts of disrespectful thinks like walk up DP.

so what is this? you just had final of your yearly competition and no one is playing your game, explain this

Attached: a.png (1366x768, 1.59M)

Their culture just isn't in to video games on that level, but they have just enough money thrown at them to compete since they're a big country.

MAYBE WITH THE FUCKING TAUNT BUTTON YOU RETARD.
Other then that Fighting games allow for subtle taunting like dropping combos just to allow you to flex on your opponents or doing stylish but suboptimal combos to style.

As much as I love this, I don't know how long it would last. It'll only take one dumbshit at TI putting a banner that says "EZ" or a slur or something after a team wipe for them to be removed from tournaments.

Ceb is going to get fucking lynced on his way to airport.

CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEB

Who knows.
I hope they reconcile one day in true anime style though.
Judging from post-game handshake it seems like they're still upset.

Dota should count itself lucky that Koreans don't care about the game. The fact that they autistically obsessed over LoL practically killed the competitive scene for years during its peak, only ending semi recently with China and less so Europe clawing their way back.

Attached: 1564498167566.png (1114x768, 552K)

Attached: Puppey reflects on his mistakes.png (638x344, 56K)

There are spamable voice lines much worse than EZ already in the game

m8, there were multiple occasions of players putting spray that literally says 'LOSER' on ground and nothing happens.

DOTA takes creativity instead of stale mechanical practice, there is no way the Koreans could ever keep up with their current style of training

now thats some passive aggressive shit right here
and i love every moment of it

Some of the chatwheel lines are “offensive” alr (ding ding ding mother fucker, well, croaked), and i dont think they wont police the players a bit for the flags
All the voice lines and taunts and chatwheels are sold to everyone, not just these guys. Those will follow valve’s (lax) procedure of policing
>Shanghai, never4get

Are you new?
Valve literally added a spray that says loser

dota is a spectator sport
actually playing dota is a honeypot

just support the pro scene and imagine what it'd be like if you could dedicate your life to something

lul the koreans are cave men in dota scene no strategy just going around the map and picking fights no wonder they lose the scene fast

>friendship and fun is the true way to Dota 2

bros...
how will EE ever get into a team now?

>Koreans don't care about the game
>30mil prizepool
yeah sure

wtf is this shit

it would be very hypocritical of Valve to ban it when they put it in the first place. they can only blame themselves for that shit

Don't you find it funny that despite Koreans and China having the similar asian mindset, China can win at DotA while Korea can't?

What's with that?

go watch Purge

Are you dumb? These are fucking beloved.

Valve literally monetizes the tools to utterly humiliate your opponent. They fucking promote it.

koreans are awful at dota since dota is a game about strategy as much as it is mechanical skill
koreans can't compete with the white man since the game requires too much brain power for mere insect men

>and i love every moment of it
>not just flipping off somebody or calling them a nigger faggot

Attached: Cory-McCarthy-soy-boy-soy-face-cuck-nu-male-Paul-Joseph-Watson-Alex-Jones-Infowars.jpg (1277x719, 198K)

i mean that's literally what blizzard did, they started policing people for spamming emotes in overwatch, but valve seems like they don't mind bants nearly as much.

>Dota is too hard Koreans just suck lmao get good

They don't play the game

>can't

They had one team get to TI with crazy playstyles. It's not about can't, it's about the fact no one in korea wants to watch or play it.

also unbeatable in TI

valve figured out the ancient art of giving voice lines a short cool down.

watch purge, erick wright or d2bowie

chat wheels are alot worst than banners

>he is saying that
>while NEXT LEbEL PLEY exist
>literally spammed to say "nice moves, retard"
>? on deny
>loser picture
>rampage and killstreak announcers basically telling you that you are a moron
I'm surprised we still don't have tf2 laugh taunt at this point.

Attached: 1535975858660.jpg (1080x814, 97K)

>China can win at DotA

Attached: 19.png (300x300, 42K)

Damn it feels like OG's understanding of the game is just next level right now.

>you want to farm up and play late game?
gank your cores non-stop so he never comes online
>you want to play around your big ultis?
pick fights constantly while your ultis are on CD
>you want to play a tanky hero midgame?
pick up a fucking diffusal on gyro to turn your tanks into useless blobs then rape the backline

Like seriously it seems they just hard-counter whatever you do. How do you even beat that?

that reminds me, they did make crouching have a cooldown if you do it too much in a short span in csgo, i wonder if it was because of teabagging or some head hitbox thing.

I think the Chinese caught on that their style of practice/learning wasn't cutting it and adjusted.

I'm saying it right now dotards. The True Sight for this one is going to be legendary.

Every other esport will look at it and see that at the end of the day all OG was were a group of friends having the time of their lives playing a game they love. And that's something every competitive player should strive for.

Players get all the earnings I believe not the orgs.

>Playing DotA after the 7.00 meme update

Why do you so many people think that age affects your videogame skill negatively?
That might only start to happen when you reach like 60 or some shit.

Attached: miles-crossed(c).gif (256x192, 340K)

You know what I mean. Even if they haven't won since Wings, they still consistently place high.

The same cannot be said of Koreans in Dota.

Another year with boring, stomp finals. Secret had some more interesting games, as did LGD. Only the first game of grand finals was cool.

Your reflexes start slowing after 24. No matter how much skill you have, if you can't pull it off in time, you're fucked.

there were so many games I thought were over that the teams came back and won where I felt dumbfounded
og did that at least 10 times

You want a real bm move? Airgrabbing a burst.

Koreans don't play Dota. This really isn't hard to understand, there's nowhere near the interest/infrastructure as League of Legends has. If Korea was seriously playing Dota, we'd see another strong competitor region. But why would any pro-gamer in Korea choose Dota, take a huge risk of winning TI or making zero money, when they could be a B-tier LoL player and land a comfortable sponsorship, win or lose.

Attached: 1566718016178.png (186x267, 131K)

people dont actually play dota anymore they just watch it once a year.

>i mean that's literally what blizzard did, they started policing people for spamming emotes in overwatch, but valve seems like they don't mind bants nearly as much.
Valve doesn't care so long as their pockets are filled with money.

They're hands off with everything they do because they're lazy and cheap, not because they're based.
This even applies to their storefront Steam.

They look like complete fags

>itachi and sasgay

Reflexes are overrated. Look at old ass niggas like Daigo Umehara still being relevant in fighting games (the most reflex intensive competitive game). Sure, there might be stuff they can't do anymore on "pure" reflex, but "pure" reflex is such a small part of the game compared to anticipation and experience, which the older players have in spades.

If there's economy in it, I think its feasible to be a pro player for as long as any professional athlete in a team sports game (so early fourties)

Fighting games require way better mechanical skill and reactiontime than Dota and there are tons of oldfag pro players.
Fuckers like Daigo and Tokido can still mop the floor with people.

Fighting games run at 60 fps, Dota2 runs at 25 fps

Honestly, if he wasn't such unlikable weebish dickhead all the time his story would be almost sad.

He was farming his bkb while the enemy team is fucking his base, goes into the fight, doesn't activate his bkb, gets lifted instantly and almost killed and has to use his 10 seconds bkb defensively. Artour is a really good player but by god that was a shit play.

>don't play the most profitable game on earth
If they were as good in games as they claim they would all be winning TIs all the time. Single Ti win earns you more than playing lol for years.

>mechanical skill
Inputs and combos are far harder to get down than just pressing hotkeys. Like mechanically, what heroes are the hardest?
>reactiontime
In fighting games frames matter to the point where even the tiniest of lag can fuck someone over. What in Dota compares to reacting to a 4-5 frame move or action?

Dota players make much more moneu than LoL players, the real teason is that DoTA is genuinely difficult to master. LoL is fucking fisher price tier.

Koreas best team lost to purges 5stack

True but apparently gooks are gods at gaming. That's what all those gooks lover are claiming so they should be winning ti all the time easy right?

i will welcome carry wisps with open arms in my games
for the longest time i've been dreaming about playing with carry players who don't just pick hard carry right clickers

Truly ebin.

Though DOTA can require a lot of reaction time and CAN be mechanically difficult, fighting games ALWAYS require reaction checks down to the 14th frame (overheads) and are always mechanically difficult (input difficulty).

In dota, it's more about strategy, tactics and spatial awareness for the most part. Though occasionally fast reactions help (Rubick comes to mind) and there are heroes who are mechanically difficult (Meepo, Chen)

Even coming second and third place is pretty damn good.

Liquid gets 4.5M for second and LGD gets 3.1M for third in Ti9. That's still a fuck load of money

>This thread is still going
>people are actually posting in it
You are all nothing but a bunch of homosexual casuals.

gooks can't play creative games, they only shine when there's a strict set of rules to follow, their brains simply aren't complex enough to understand such concepts

Arguably Manta Dodging.

we're all but casuals

Disappointed Secret didn't make it further but happy we had Liquid vs OG in the finals. Wish it wasn't so one sided though.

Super happy TI is in Europe next year, will try to go see it live.

Attached: 1554964776932.png (1925x1346, 465K)

Rundown? Man Dota seems so fun and full of drama, I see why people watch but don't play.

Oh yeah lmao you reminded me when purge a literally 4k mmr player dumpstered all gooks with his squad of literally whos.

Literally no one but basement dwellers care about mobas

wanted my boy zai to win. but hey, at least they're a pretty succesful team overall.

>What in Dota compares to reacting to a 4-5 frame move or action?

That doesn't matter because nobody is going to do a 4-5 frame reaction in a fighting game either.

Humans can reasonably react to a 17 frame move in fighting games. 14th frames is really pushing it, but if you are young you can catch some of those overheads as well on pure reactions.

The rest is just about expecting what will happen and doing the action preventing that from happening in case it does happen, which is why experience counts for so much.

>reacting to a 4-5 frame move
How can you react to a 4 frame move? isn't it like 1/15th of a second? the fastest reaction times hover around 180ms, you shouldn't be able to react to those moves

the worst part is probably the realization that he's a bad friend/person and that OG would never be as ridiculously good as they are now with him on the team
just imagine being that guy, knowing that's what you'll forever be remembered for

this year's TI was an absolute treat. i can't believe they managed to stomp all the competition. there was never any moment where you doubted they would win. i still dont know why spectre didnt buyback game 1 though.
despite this, i'm wondering if chatwheels and sprays should stay. obviously everybody can use it, but the way they use it seems broken and gives them an unfair advantage. even liquid crumbled against it

>manta dodging
>blink reaction
>1 tick dmg evasion ie WD’s maledict
Not to mention the built-in “clunky” mechanic that is turn-rate, which requires you to actually do the input much earlier

Eternal envy, he was the quintessential underdog years ago, too bad that his shitty characted blacklisted him by every pro team imaginable.

How hard is it to get back into Dota?

I haven't played in 6 years so I imagine it has changed infinitely since then.

What are some of the major changes I should look at? I see there are now like passive skill trees as you level?

Do you really think the person scheduling their flights, hotels, interviews, meals, and basically wiping their asses don't have something in their contract that they get paid?

Maybe they have a set salary or something but they sure as fuck get paid and money has to come out of the prizes because it's not like Red Bull is going to cover all of it.

Yeah, I really wanted the to win. Hope they stick together and try to iron out their issues. I get the feeling MidOne be out. I hear he wants to go back to SEA and him being underwhelming at TI (for the most part) makes that all the more probable.

Newbee's coach (ex FWD guys) said that that the west will see some pretty crazy shuffles so who knows what will happen.

Attached: cm huffpuff.jpg (805x993, 184K)

If you know the basics. You'll be fine. Just play it.

this is something i don't get, how is diffusal blade against tanky heroes?

>this year's TI was an absolute treat.
>there was never any moment where you doubted they would win
what?

I hope you're all ready for the shuffle drama after this.

Because boy oh boy this is going to be a massive clusterfuck on all sides. I think only SEA is going to leave unscathed.

Didn't you see how Miracle's Bristleback was left with absolutely no mana, and thus became useless?

If you still know the gist of the game you should be able to get back into it reasonably well.
1. The map is completely different
2. There are now two shrines that can be activated to give fountain healing for a short amount of time.
3. There are bounty runes now that span every 5 minutes that you should contest
4. You can't level stats anymore, instead there are talent trees that hugely impact a game. For instance shadow shaman has a cast range amplifier at 15, and at 20 his shackle ability lasts longer, meaning he can shackle from a very far distance for a very long time. You need to learn the most common ones.
5. Smaller changes, like new items and stuff.

I'm not playing as regularly as I have before because I hate the new cosmetics and other gimmicks, but I've kinda gotten back into it and reached 4k recently. And I gotta say, this game is still super rewarding to get good at.

Attached: s4 ti9.jpg (402x685, 55K)

Mana burn. Bristle without mana is just a toddler with a rock.

burns their mana so they can't cast spells so even if they're still alive they're useless

flak cannon lets you burn everyones mana at once so its not that they are dead, they just cant use any spells to help. at that point they are just bodies

If you're solo, don't its trash. Play Starcraft instead. If you have friends just play and watch BSJ videos after 100-200 games.

makes sense

Only the main shot burns mana.

flak cannon doesnt proc orb effects.

>bristle back runs at you
>he cast spells until you die
>you take away this ability
>he's now a nonhero
>rest of the team is ez since most of the net worth on the team is now on a useless hero

excited about what happens to eg, especially rtz and sumail

Nah. Flak cannon’s secondary shots dont burn. Just that mana burning the hell out of the porcupine render him useless much easier than the more expensive break blade
Its a genius and daring move, really

I mean you gotta appreciate seeing a team that just wipes the floor with everybody else, especially when that one team has one the championship two years ago. Also the games up to place 4-6 were super hype, most games were tight even (aside from OGs matches)

The top 2 teams in Dota make more off TI, everyone else is well below Fakers contract price, guaranteed. For most of the Dota scene, you scramble to place middling at TI just to make a decent salary being equaled by gooks with no uncertainty or drama in their paycheck.

This was like TI5
Every team choked and the team that choked the least won
It wasn't a real display of skill towards the end, none of the games were close

>TI10 in Stockholm

OH NO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS DOTARDS
youtube.com/watch?v=c_cCsFU6pak

Bristleback was only deprived of mana for like, no more than 5-10 seconds total and not consecutively. He was constantly getting Arcane Boots. The Diffusal didn't make the difference aside maybe forcing Bristle to maybe ration their mana but in the space of the fight a couple stupid sprays or goos weren't going to make the difference and by the time it actually got heroes like the Chen and Omni down to 0 all their spells were already on cooldown and then they immediately died.

I didn't notice but the Purge probably did more than anything else.

he liked to kick people on the team and he got negative pr

also he likes anime

>the tight and stressful games are still there (liquid’s series, secret’s series. All those comebacks)
>the lax games (OG’s series) are unpredictable in draft, and entertaining as fuck
I dont see the issue here

>Faker
Isn't he old news now? Not him btw

You forgot the fact that he's extremely autistic and makes comically bad plays all the time

>all this talk about Korea
Didn't T1 just announce a Dota 2 team?

Why only now?

He was forced to magic stick from full hp for 1 (one) spray, then emptied again
And a bristle thats not spamming his skill and keeping his stacks up is a useless bristle. 10s IS a long while

The chinks are definitely going to stop playing Dota now after this utterly disgraceful defeat in their homeland. lmao they deserve it.

I hope he's at the opening ceremony.

Yeah he hasn't dominated LoL for literally years, but he still gets paid alot-- I don't think the contract prices are public knowledge, but team sponsers pay big for big names in Asia. There isn't really a big name like he used to be anymore, so he still holds the throne as 'most legendary player'.

A bit like Arteezy really, but with better tournament placing.

>stop playing doto
>social credit score goes up

Is dota 2 really that bad if you're playing solo?

nope I got 5k mmr playing solo as position 5 which most consider the worst for climbing

definitely possible if you believe in yourself

>try a bit harder next time
DEMOLISHED

GODson shows once again his class.

why would you play a team game by yourself?

Bristle isn't a hero who just pisses out mana. You itemize to have "enough", so anything that messes with your mana flow is going to have bigger than expected consequences.

That's how it usually is. TI is extremely stressful from the get-go, and then the players also have to play an absolute gauntlet of games. The finalists are completely spent when its time for the grand finals.

Let's just say that you're going to play with people who have no friends. Imagine what kind of people are those.

depends on your person. if you get angry easily it's not the best game for you. if you're focused on improving it's a good game regardless. just mute everybody once you believe it's gonna affect your game.

Not really? Just offlane/spidey and push, really
Its more “fun” with a premade, true. And pos 4, 5 alone in pub is unbearable

There were some good finals
TI3 and I think the last one were good

To be fair, using a Faker as a comparison is a bit disingenuous, since he was considered #1. Of course he would get paid bank. But everyone else in in the LoL esports don't get paid half as much as him. I don't know if this is correct but afaik the average lol esports player would get paid barely above a wagecuck salary of say $30k a year. That's why most lol players "retire" and stream instead, making more money that way.

>t. Tim Sweeny

Ti8 was great for the narative
The games? Not so much. It was OG and LGD taking turn stomping each other. Game 5 was fun tho, true

No, it really did make the difference. Walk Topson walk right up and past bristle above their top rax. He completly ignored him, because he knows he can't maintain enough casts to punish him. He walks past and pressures the supports, and he only retreats to avoid fighting the entire backline solo. It's absolute domination.

>everyone else
LoL can mount literally only one dude on a pedestal, it's sad because LoL is supposed to be a team game. It's also poor because Faker is the exception and not the norm. There's even multiple reports that LoL players on average are just McDonalds salary. Or how Riot own them so they can't have any strong branding or independent orgs.

I'm not saying it didn't matter. But the mana burn didn't matter as much as people are saying.

If anything at all, the buildup to Diffusal allow him to farm faster and the slow did more work than the actual mana burn at that base high ground. As an item it did a bunch of small things. I felt like if a person was going to credit Topson's build with something it wouldn't be the Diffusal but all the stat items that put him at 2000 health and let him juke in and out and get a couple rotations of spells off that just chopped through their regen.

NA teams get paid shit, but they're not under discussion. Korean teams get sponsorship salarys, and they get paid very comfortable sums. It isn't NFL quarterbacker dollars, but they aren't poor.

Looking back at it all, barring the trash crowd, this TI was pretty good.

Amazing group stages. Slightly less amazing but still good main stage.
Grandpa Spirit and Grandma Keen heroes announced.
OG's underdog story evolved into an absolute dominance story that also showcased the utter essence of Dota 2.
Grand finals was a bit pitiful though considering LGD choked hard against Liquid.

A shame. LGD vs. OG with OG winning in game 5 would have been the perfect cap for this TI.

Well, tb h he could do much without Ana just rushing in with his lvl15 agh, true. The t3 was down like half hp
Its more or less total trust in your pals
>yo i’ll “sacrifice” my itemization for a meme diffu for that porcupine only
>you fuck better carry the rest of the game

>OG's underdog story evolved into an absolute dominance story that also showcased the utter essence of Dota 2.
You mean the fact that the game gets changed so quickly nobody has time to figure out what the meta is? And choking?

Korea just doesn't like Dota because they don't find the women attractive

He only wanted to go back to base for regen, absolutely based

Casters dropped the ball, didn't feel like OG got hyped up into the absolute monsters they were. Didn't play up the UB storyline, no good LB storyline materialized, all around games were good but hosts didn't run a good story out of it. They had good material to work with, too. OG make good villains with the level of BM they drop.

so many comeback games from what would be an assured defeat in previous metas and it's all happening from outplays and no cheesey shit

I loved this meta

the official casters were incredibly bad

that's why there is only one based casters for my TI games

>OG make good villains
That would have been impossible to spin.

then they have bad taste

Literally a redditor's team.

1. go to one of the lanes - if you get yelled at switch lane
2. wait at your last tower next to the enemy one and wait for creeps to start spawning
3. right click creeps when they have low enough health so your hit is the killing one - this way you receive money
4. keep doing that and make sure enemy doesn't right click you too much, periodically go back to your base to buy and upgrade items

the rest you will learn while you're being yelled at so don't worry too much

I thought this TI’s meta is pretty defined tho?
>regen and tanky lineup
>prolonged fights where tony and ET shine
>enchantress lol
>throw ults and buybacks til everyone’s dead
Not until the Carry Io tho

>team wins an entire TI by tilting enemy teams

Not at all. Play everyone else as underdogs coming up against the supremely confident and rightfully dominant OG. They play their style, and you'll play it too if you don't want to eat dirt. You just can't crush a tournament this hard and still be treated like scrappy underdogs equal in the field, you need to get hyped the fuck up as unstoppable.

sc2

>not posting Auroth

Carry Wisp literally came out of nowhere and was stupid overpowered. Alch and Enchantress are embarrassingly OP. Icefrog changes the game way too fast that game balance gets worse instead of better. The memeback patch and 7.00 destroyed years of careful tuning so nobody really knows how the fuck to play the game anymore

I'm expecting mega creeps to get slightly revamped in the next patch. They got powercreeped hard by talents.
Also, buybacks need to be more punishing again.

Aside from that just the usual Icefrog memeshit nerfs on the meta heroes.

Holy based chink

Toby-Synd and Cap were all great. Dunno why they are reserved for lower bracket games
I know these guys are great at hyping up the “now-or-never” nature of lower bracket, but then the GF is just boring without Toby

>best player of all time said he just memorizes other player's builds but just plays them better
sc2 as a game has no strategy outside of a few meta build orders

So now that TI9 is over what are we expecting from the Outlanders Update dotards? How fucking stupid is it going to be?

Megacreeps were nerfed intentionally a few patches back

Never.
Chinks drop the game and dota 2 dies.

I'm so glad tobi didn't cast the grand finals
that guy is awful

Attached: 1556645777151.jpg (600x800, 57K)

They are all technically good casters. It's the overarching storyline being dropped, not the game to game casts. Desk staff needed to get with casters and get me excited for the matchups and what they mean. But also fuck Tobi, Cap is my man and should be on every final ever.

God this TI was probably the most boring shit ever. This game is beyond saving the pubs are fucking trash because you play against a smurf or booster every single game. Fuck Valve. Fuck this third world ape simulator.

Attached: 1521417099812.jpg (640x628, 40K)

Not really, mid tier
No one after the group stages put up a fight.
I can't think of a memorable series and the gf were marred by the fact that kuro thinks too highly of himself to admit that TA doesn't work 100% of the time.

>Desk staff needed to get with casters and get me excited for the matchups and what they mean
The forced hype and hyperbole this year near the end was unbearable. It was a mediocre grand finals, but everyone has to pretend like it's amazing and the greatest thing ever. It wasn't. They don't need to push harder in that direction

It would be the usual mars/grimstroke/etc update, just with a name
7.00 was too recent and too big for any more fuck up. They would have brought it up during TI if it was 8.00

SC2 and many RTS flop not because RTS as a genre because of balance. The key to ANY good PvP game is balance and Blizzard is dogshit and retarded. Most RTS games devolve into Rock-Paper-Scissor counter games as well and while skill can be the difference between a win and lost. A game like SC2 is more fixated on the "initial" strat much like Dota 2's drafting is but much less complex in a 1v1 scenario.

this TI was amazing if you actually play dota
it showed that friendship and loyalty as well as enjoying your time in the game mean more than anything else

no game in history has ever been won off of pure power of memes but it's happened twice now

OG's chatwheel spam is just banter and memes. They even spam the Allies chat if one of them fucks up. They literally said it helps with their morale and stress.

Grand finals wasn't as good as last years, nothing can really top it as 5 games of FUCK CHINKS. But this years TI overall was pretty good and had really good Dota. Look at Liquid's entire lower bracket run and you'll find good games, or EG recovering after Group Stages. Or Infamous dabbing on EG.

Has nothing to do with saying the finals is amazing. That's not story. Story is telling it like it is: OG crushed every team here under russian pub Dota, spamming taunts all the way. They walked under T3's, killed you, spammed voiceline and tipped you for feeding them. There were not even close to equal to the other teams this TI, and the casters needed to convey to the fans that story. Instead, they casted it like anyone could win, anybodys game, and thats why the finals feel so unsatisfying. Because it wasn't true, and it showed when Liquid got bodied.

RTS games flopped because they didn't try to live up to the Strategy part and decided to be real-time unit management games instead

SC2 isn't really that complex strategy-wise. SC2 is hard because it's really fucking execution intensive.

>muh friendship
>enjoying playing pub dota

yea we get it 3k trash now talk to anybody with 5k-6k and they all tell you pubs are the worst shit ever. I mean like 80% will quit for classic anyways because the match making and the meta are shit tier.

finals were a stomp im happy og won but comeon liquid had no chance

>anyone better than me is a smurf or a booster.

OG's real rivals were LGD, Liquid blocked the timeline where the epic OG vs LGD rematch happens.

Dammit I cant believe I missed this

Unironically i’d take the Liquid vs LGD semi as the final instead. That shit was GREAT, esp game 2. Not game 3 tho
There were so many good series that the GF became pale in comparison

>classic

Tobi is objectively the best caster even if he is a total sperglord
ODPixel is more hype but he's not very eloquent

Eh hes a shoutcaster, thats what he does, hyping up the play
Cant beat Synd and Cap tho

>match making update states more changes will have to be done to match making and these are the first steps to fixing it with future changes already planned in advance
the only immortals that are still crying about the change are those who lack the social skills to find a team
it's a team game so hopefully they can fix their attitudes but regardless of that strict solo still exist
these changes will only be healthy long term to a team game

that and most people who follow dota don't even play it anymore
constant viewership increases year after year show it's a spectator sport above a video game

>Like mechanically, what heroes are the hardest?
Invoker: Similar sistem to Nine from BlazBlue, have to invoke your spells before using them, has 10 completely different spells.
Meepo: Have to control up to 5 heroes and if any of them dies, all of them die. To optimize farm you have to farm at several places at the same time.
Rubik: Has a spell steal that steals the last spell used by the enemy hero, great players can steal 2 or 3 ultimates in a fight.
Chen: Controls up to 4 neutral creeps from the jungle, to maximize the hero you have to micro each creep and use their skills.
Arc Warden: Makes a copy of himself wit his ultimate, has to utlize up to 12 items plus 6 skills to maximize results.
Lone Druid: Similar to Arc warden, but instead has a pet bear who has his own items. Effectively 2 heros with up to 12 items.
Tinker: His ultimate refreshes his skills and items. "Piano hero" when it comes to speed and reaction.
Also Tusk, Ember Spirit (mostly to dodge stuff), Brewmaster and Earth Spirit at the highest level.

Dota isn't too excesive when it comes to mechanical skill but it comes with a lot of tech, and specific heroes have even more specific tech. From drop regen, to manta dodges, stealing runes with sleigh of fist, Magnus Cliffing, omnislash tp/blink, armlet toggling,...

Of course your allowed to say it, and if you don't say it your just a shitty host. I blame it on the casters being too hesitant of no other team ever winning two TI's. They didn't want to aggressively push a narrative they felt was going to go wrong, no faith in OG to the very last, still talking like LGD/Liquid is going to come up and make it a contest. PC culture isn't the reason why you can't do your damn job, poor direction from up top and the desk did this in. There was even a scandal a few years back when the casters were accused of being biased, toned back, and got slammed for casting obviously one-sided matches as anybody game. I'm pretty sure it was Redeye himself who took them to task at the time for it, and where the fuck was he this TI I'll never know.

that's cause dota is amazing to watch
you didn't even need to understand dota to enjoy TI8

>his plays are risky as fuck, when it pays off it pays off, but when it's not he make s a full of himself
>hence the 50/50 EE meme, where it's "EE solo wins the game/EE sells his house for a bitcoin" type of thing
>comes off as a dickhead all the time due to being complete social autist
>made a team called No Tidehunter, took bunch of swedes in it
>got kicked from it since he is not swedish
>team was renamed as Alliance and went to win a TI, arguably the best TI win ever
>people started nothing that in pubs he acts like a complete autist, google FURION CAN YOU TP TOP
>basically joins a team - kicks someone from it for no reason - team loses horribly - kicked player wins everything - team disbanded, repeat like 4-5 times, most notably Aui_2000

>all this with his pubs showing how much of a fucking autist he is, google "furion can you tp top"
>plus Envy vs Puppey drama
>50/50 EE meme
>level one Roshan at Ti4
>the most recent drama was when the team was ready to play in disneyland of france or some shit, he kicked kid (17 yo or something like that) few days before the game, claimed it is for the greater good, came last place LOL
not much I can remember, but try to google EE drama and see for yourself the rest, it's worth a read
Like in the pic, he has only himself to blame for his fuckups, there was not one thing that he didn't fuck up in the most retarded way

Nah you aren't allowed to say it, this isn't just PC culture, that's how you run an event, you have to be respectful and hype things up and pretend things are exciting and satisfying even when they aren't
One of the hosts for a Dota event literally got fired in the middle of the show for being an asshole and saying whatever he wanted

>the only immortals that are still crying about the change are those who lack the social skills to find a team
thats not true dude every pro streamer says solo pub are more fun than team pubs because there's just too much try harding in team pubs.

f it says fall, maybe december.

When EE was on-game, he was the single hardest carry in Dota. He would literally make such god level plays that he'd 1-5 teams. He fundamentally changed core mechanics, like flying courier by breaking the game repeatably. But he also does dumb shit and throws games, single handedly losing it for his team. EE is the most polarizing player in Dota.

>casters were being biased
really? i might've missed this

also Redeye was at the panel hosting tho?

Also can someone tell me how the fuck Gunnar got a hosting job? after he was kicked? was this nepotism? who has the pull if this is true? was it kyle?

then they'll learn to compete or just play solo again
strict solo exist the literal exact same way it did as before so once they realize that they'll just go back to playing solo if what you say is even remotely true

it most likely isn't cause even now all the top streamers have gotten used to the change and are enjoying it now
just look at gorgc and his team's tone about the change now compared to release of the changes
he just said he'd never want to go back and everyone agreed and that's 5 people sub rank 200

>When EE was on-game, he was the single hardest carry in Dota. He would literally make such god level plays that he'd 1-5 teams. He fundamentally changed core mechanics
i needed that laugh

What? Have you watched gorgc or sing sing recently? They all have so much fun all the time and more viewers than ever before.

This was a few years ago at a major iirc, but a similar situation.

who gave Gunnar a casting / hosting job? Did anyone else get their insomnia cured when he tricasted w/ Febby and Purge? Literally the worst.

Don't bother. If you don't already know people who are reliable and know the game, then you won't have fun. 5-stacking is the only way to have fun, solo queue is for insane people.

What is Flying Courier, Force Staff, Terrorblade? EE used to be top of the heap when he was on game. Long gone his glory days may be, he used to be quite something circa 6-7 years ago.

I've actually started to enjoy party queue as well
the change grows on you and you wonder why it took so long

EE was on top of no heaps and only ever achieved success when he was carried by actually good players like Shartour or Puppey

People at Valve must have had sympathy for him

I think the problem here is that nobody in a position of authority in DotA does a proper post-mortem so nobody actually fucking knows if it was a stomp or whether it was fine and even and the losing team choked. Forget the narrative in the moment, nobody cares to actually figure out what actually happened and it's not like OG is going to reveal their own post-mortem to help Liquid or anything.

I'm watching that high ground defense and I think all that could really be said there is "you motherfuckers were eating 155 magic damage per second trying to walk up that hill". That was the bulk of why the fight went the way it did. Ceb suicided in at 50% life and let the Focus Fire get burnt on him and then it was just a matter of walking down that hill and let your balls do the talking. That much is absolutely true.

The problem is that nobody is going to talk about why they fucking let the Wisp happen or barring that failure why you let it get an Aghs. I know for certain nobody is going to have the conversation whether or not the Windrunner was the right pick. Maybe it was; maybe it wasn't; nobody will fucking know why Liquid shit the bed only that a Wisp happened.

what happened to heroes like furion? i remember he used to be a top pick and i would pubstomp all the time with him. is he shit now?

I honestly don't blame the GF crowd with the showing they got.

Of course they know, you just aren't supposed to say its a stomp because it unhypes the grand finals

He's fine and gets picked alot, rat dota is so far out of the meta it's crazy though. OG was ending games at 20 minutes with their aggression, Furions too slow to fight into them.

Rat dota is mostly gone thank fucking God

No, it doesn't. Sinking home how good OG are hypes the finals: it's the dominant send off of the first team to win back-to-back TI's. You hype games by making them meaningful, whether because it's a close fight or because it's the exact opposite. This wasn't TI4 with two chink teams out of nowhere nobody cares about, this is the favored team making history as the best team ever, period. Two fucking TI's back to back! You hype that by telling the story, the exact opposite of what your suggesting, it doesn't matter if it's one sided if it made history.

This is just what comes with anything that tries to brand itself as a sport - it takes cues from professional sports casting, which is fucking dogshit.

It's not like someone has sat down and said, "what if we took gaming casting in a better direction" and decided that a caster putting their feelings on their sleeve is ultimately going to lead to a honest presentation and they should have the freedom to do that instead of feeling like they'll get punished for it.

I don't fucking remember when this was but Charlie Yang was on the panel calling out everyone's stupid bullshit narrative about friendship among players in a team and he's like, "what the fuck are you talking about; this (specific) team is a pile of the best players they could assemble - they've barely been together to know each others' last names; they're not fucking friends, they're here to win". And he never got invited back to TI ever again. And it's been years and anybody with teeth are gone. I used to like Blitz because he just said it like it was as if the casters were the villains and the players were the good guys to prove them wrong.

Look at fucking GrandGrant - a guy who earned his spot on that stage for being a soda chugging drunken retard. All you have to have to do is wrap him in a suit and hand him a case of Dr. Pepper and we'd be good to go but instead we get some guy who knows he has to play nice otherwise he's going to have to go back to fucking Walmart.

there's nothing hype or meaningful about a stomp
OG isn't even the best team, they sucked all year

>Also can someone tell me how the fuck Gunnar got a hosting job?
i'm wondering the same thing
he won a minor and qualified for a major, got kicked and suddenly he gets invited as talent to the biggest esport tournament in history?
and kyle too? he never accomplished jack shit in his career, and the only reason he made any money was because of free qualifier slots
seeing him there talking about top tier team's strategies like he's an authority on the subject just confuses the shit out of me
then he starts roasting players live on camera, plus you have nahaz telling doubters word by word to shut the fuck up and saying he wants to cast meteors on trump voters as if they're just trying to create drama where there's no need for it or just to be edgy
i get they're preaching to the choir but there's no point in doing whatever it is they're doing

Nahaz is the living avatar of Reddit

Wasn't meepo one of his best heroes? I haven't watched the last 5 internationals, what happened to him? Also where's that fat fuck who only played sylla and furion?

Bulldog retired

He moved from pos1 to pos 5, best move ever as he is 100x better on that position and ana is a god carry

Posting superior e-sport

Attached: obu4aruHoBckYAAAAASUVORK5CYII=.png (185x93, 2K)

I fucking hated him so much after they won TI against navi by splitpushing and backdooring everything. I hope he dies soon of a heart attack.

ESPORTS AREN'T VIDEO GAMES FAGGOTS

>require reaction checks down to the 14th frame
That's 0,244 seconds. There are 2 spells wich are single target high damage ults with a 0,25 delay between the spellcast and the damage, and there are player who have the reaction time to dodge those (with stuff like manta style, phase shift or mischief.). But what you said is true. In a game of Dota there's a lot of shit going on and making the right calls tends to be more important than mechanical skill.

What team has won two TI's, ever? With the same roster? Facts are facts, and results at TI are what matters: OG is the best Dota 2 team in history, end of debate.

Yeah, they drove that point home, didn't make the finals any more interesting though, because it was a stomp

Was that diffusal blade genius?

A big gamble and all in, yes
If Ana couldnt pop off with his lvl15 agh Wisp, you are way fucked

it's pretty funny, reddit used to despise the man and last year the official dota 2 twitter account replied to his stupid bullshit tweet because he just doesn't know when to shut up
yet here he is, at ti9, a tournament with a $34 million prize pool telling people to shut the fuck up
the people who should be most afraid of losing their jobs act like that could never happen in a million years, in any timeline or dimension, and then you have the people who has been here for ages and worked hard to get to where they are stuttering and scared to death of using the lord's name in vain and possibly lose their jobs

Yes. The entire team is to facilitate Bristle. Two healers to keep him alive, the Diffusal removes all 3 pieces from the board at once-- Omni and Chen don't mean anything if Bristle is functionally disabled. Watch it again, see the spam out from OG once Top buys it and lets them know. They knew the plan, and knew they were going to crush any extended teamfight off it-- and if OG does anything right, it's extend a teamfight out. Not only hitting the enemys weak link, it also played to their strengths.

they beat secret's io so they thought they had it figured out

me too. fuck that fat stupid animal

jej

That diffusal was insane. OG was on the backfoot the whole game (arguably intentionally but still) since Io couldn't do shit.

Then Topson got the diffusal and Io hit 15, Liquid got cocky and tried to push highground and got immediately shat on. Then OG just went mid and ended the game in like 5 mins lmao.

There's been plenty of aggresive plays before, but OG does this so well it's insane. Normally if you lose a TF mid game you lose a couple towers, or maybe a lane of rax if you already lost towers. With OG one bad TF and you lose the game.

what do you think sponsorship is you mouthbreather

They sucked all year because they didn't give a shit after winning TI.
In terms of drafting, strategy, teamplay/shotcalling they are on another level. The only games they lost (vs lgd, liquid) were games ana threw

It seems like so many of OG's games look like a loss for them until the last five minutes where they win out of nowhere.

How fast do you think this is

Attached: tinker blink.webm (1067x600, 2.44M)

>They sucked all year because they didn't give a shit after winning TI.
yeah that's putting a spin on it
I'd say they did well because they didn't actually care if they lost
teams like secret and vg and lgd were super jittery and choked really easily

Man this TI was really trash in terms of skill and meta. nu-OG won off course because they choke less when it matters (having fun attitude helps a lot) like there was not one outstanding series expect secret vs mineski..

The real insanity is how Topson walks right past Bristle in the fight. Completely ignored the main carry of Liquid to try and snipe backline, then walks out right past him. The disrespect allowed by the Diffisual was incredible. In the end, if you don't play OGs game you get stomped by 20, if you do you get outplayed.

China has a much larger population, potential talent pool. Even then they play methodical, "perfect" by-the-books dota instead of chaotic, creative dota

At least OG deserved this TI, they were just the worse team at TI8, so many mistakes in the finals they deserved to lose for. I can at least accept they dominated this TI and deserve the crown.

Exactly, there's a reason AI has pretty much solved Starcraft (just need to scale up 9x for all races) whereas it hasn't come close to solving dota (100+ heroes, flexible item builds, warding etc)

OG mastered the "no choking when it matters", like LGD is off course better skillwise but they love to choke

Eh, Open AI did plenty well. The open day record was like, 1k-to-5 for the AI?
the few wins for human was unsurprisingly Pinoy’s and Ruskies monkey doto

a quick reminder that a lot of people arguing and giving advice itt are not even playing the game

The funny thing is, at TI8 they were the underdogs and the victory seems almost surreal. LGD were the arguably better team then.

This time they were a level above and just crushed everyone else and bm'ed everyone along the way. Literally saturday morning cartoon villain tier and the win just seems more hilarious. Everytime they played it's like watching a pub game where one side just memes it to victory.

Dota requires more strategy than fighting games. People go in their minds how a fight breaks out and what they need to do, not just throw out abilities. The timing and efficiency matters a lot more.

Tourists.

Man I had a shitty schedule lately but mainly fuck China, what the fuck was this schedule. I could maybe watch a few games during the early afternoon but usually I woke up to seeing teams eliminated. I would never make time for any esports tournament except for this, and seeing some of the clips it seemed amazing.

The only series I saw properly was OG trashing EG after they got shat on by RTZs terror blade in game 1 (intentionally).

Open AI was a joke
They made them play literally one series against OG who had no prior experience and then declared the AI had "won", even though it still didn't play with the full ruleset

Their 1st game dropping by Ana was comical too, like, once they drop 1st game agais t TL, i knew it was the fucking end

Attached: F8A754F1-C1C3-44D1-A839-E0780CDDB87F.png (714x314, 91K)

They equally "didnt care if they lost" throughout the year, but were weak up until their bootcamp, when they started taking training completely seriously.
But yeah the lack of emotional control / maintaining clear thinking from the chinese teams really showed. Even when they were about to 2-0 Liquid, taking them high ground, LGD still manages to choke. Hopeless

I don't know man that's a lot of Valve events.

OpenAI didn't play dota. It played a toy-dota that looked enough like the real thing so they could try and get some good press.

18 hero pool (basically no drafting) with no rat heroes to counter the robot's perfect five-man, fixed item builds for robots, terrible warding/invis understanding. If they had to play the real game they wouldn't win a single match against 4-5ks

I have no idea if they are doing it on purpose but it would not surprise me if they were.
It's comical how cartoon villainy this team is but damn are they good.

How does he get away with it? Also isnt he a chink

Game 2 LGD drafted for early deathball win, but couldnt break through and crumbled. Its expected, really
Game 3 draft was horrible tho. WW literally rendered the whole team useless

what being australian will do to you

Thats exactly why, the chinks cant say anything

TAX IS THEFT

kill yourself nigger

Hes a half Vietnamese, half chink(?), born and raised in the land down under, and as per all Vietnamese refugee hate chinks and commies to the bone

I don't even think arguably, LGD was just better. There was some sick stuff like Eul's Ember completely outplaying in Game 4, but christ just watch the finals. Random people feeding, getting caught out, Ceb trying to carry Game 4 so hard and his team just bailing left and right. It was very entertaining, but OG did not deserve to win that series. Compared to that, night and day. TI9 finals still has unnecessary deaths, but they accelerated their game so much to a level nobody can compete with it. I'm no longer sure if their mistakes are necessary casualties of the pace/aggression they play or not, and even if they aren't nobody can capitalize on their mistake because they're happening at 15-20 minutes when there's no punishment.

So glad these boys won the game again. And I don't even play dota. Did the jew turncoat play in this event?

Except Ana’s weird tendency of throwing every OG’s deads feel calculated
Like, in the 4th game its just the 2 roamers and Topson running around in the open dying, while Ana just gleefully farming his Agh, and everyone just kinda forgot about him after 10 min. They know how to relieve pressure from the farming cores

Their bald coach was flaming them after g4. Everyone was miserable and tilted. If I was managing a chink team first thing I'd do would be to hire them a zen meditation guru or some shit

twitch.tv/dota2ti/clip/ObservantSplendidMarjoramFailFish
Pure kino.

Ye, OG beat them again.

OG's beatdown was honestly not that fun to watch, and I like OG.
If they didn't clown around with taunt and stuff it would have been even more boring.

how is bristleback not getting destroyed by the fountain turret?

His passive + IO’s heart regen + dozen more aura of his teammates

fuck off leaguetard

That was pretty surreal to watch during TI8 True Sight.
>LGD : you guys were just standing around, be better or I will deduce 10 points from your social credit score
>OG : let's play some good fucking DotA guys
I understand trying to figure what went wrong but what purpose did that remark serve ? Game's done, if you're not gonna be constructive just don't say anything, take it one game at a time.

>Only having to play a shitty moba one week a year for 10+ mil. I don't know who had it easier titty streamers or OG.

Attached: rtz tears kaci.webm (716x592, 852K)

wait are you trying to tell me that the AI still being developed isn't perfect yet? what incredible news

The game is rigged. Valve knows all this OG and China hype brings in tons of money from retarded incels like Yea Forums

Maybe that's how chinks operate ? For some reason every Chinese that I met were always really fixated on failures and even when something good happened to them afterwards.

Fountain is more normal in Dota and doesn't deal 1k true damage per shot. Also:
46 armor = 76% physical damage mitigation
Bristleback = 40% damage reduction
Io Overcharge = 20% damage reduction
Crimson Guard = 60 flat damage block, 50% chances of it being 70
And 50 health regeneration per second. OG is really good with these kind of damage manipulation strats.

Fuck i didn't understand at first the Sasuke/Itachi banner
